OK guys.....I am very pumped......I just got off the phone with DLC and moved my ressie to 11-29-08..... it official ....but the good news is.....that if we stay in our catagory that we were in this past November #8 room 5508 this cruise is about 400.00 cheaper than last year. So I kept the catagory 8 at this time but I did inquire about a catagory 5 for deck 7 and it just about the same price as the catagroy 8...that we faked booked on board for april of 08. So when I talk with DBW tomorrow morning I will give him this piece of info and see what he wants to do....chances are good that we may bump up, as he was talking about this about a week or so ago....

So Kathy.....we may have a nana head reunion on deck 7 afterall.....

Good Morning All ,
Well we are going to book this weekend for the 11/08 cruise . DH and I are also going to take DS to Disney World in December . We were going to put it till next year but the way things are going with the buying/selling of the house it doesn't pay to put it off. So we are also going to book that this weekend. Today we are suppose to have snow during the day so me and DS are going to be in. Tonight we are suppose to get MORE snow and I have to go to a wake for my friend's father so I hope it is not too bad because I hate drving in the snow!!! Well tomorrow we are going to get afew things done and DH has to take his car in for service. Sunday we aren't doing noting !!!! Well what is everyone doing this weekend?? Any Superbowl parties??? Last night we had terrible thunder and lightening storms and unfortunately we had tornados too!! About 5 minutes drive from us 2 mobile home parks got several homes flattened and several deaths. The Villages, which is very close too had many homes damaged.
They have so many rescue vehicles there you can't get through the area. Lady Lakes is between Pat and myself. I dont know how much storm she got, but we really got hit!! I have been up since 2 a.m. watching it.

We were so fortunate to be just off to the end of the worst of the storm.

Our pool is filled with water and will need to be drained out this morning due to all the rain.

Hi everyone, I have been trying to call DCL and I am on hold for a long time. I have had to hang up both times. Maybe I will have better luck today. When we booked on board we booked an ocean view room. It looks like for the price I paid for an ocean view fake date in 07 is what I would pay for an inside in 08. I am hoping i can atleast get an ocean view room. I will find out today I guess.

No real big plans for the weekend. Tonight is my SIL 40 th birthday. We are having dinner with her and the family. Tomorrow we are having some friends over and Sunday I will be going to church then just staying home. Not even a Super Bowl confused: Sometime the neighbors get together at the last minute,so we will see.

Kathy-I am glad you guys survived the storms. I have been hearing about it on the new this morning.

I find I'm missing good photos of quite a few people . . . Trey & Tonya, JanDave, even Mutt & Woo. Pat, Cheri, Esther . . . actually MOST of you. Seemed like I took a ton maybe they just didn't come out so well. I'll stitch up some more tomorrow and post them.

The cook book has gone over 40 pages. (Thank you - i'm having to wear a bib as I type, they all sound so good!)

Congrats, Linda. Apparently, you're the ONLY one without a picture of me somewhere! The scrapbook is AWESOME! Please post more!

Well we are officially booked for November 29th 08!! Sorry to say we are not on deck 7 But on deck 2. The past 2 cruises we have been on deck 6 with a verandah. Atleast we will have a port hole We may upgrade to a category 6 I am going to talk to DH later today. We are not in our room that much so I am thinking I would like to spend that $$ on excursions and other things. Talk to you all later.

Hi everyone.
What a terrible day here in sunny FL, at least in our neck of the woods! There has been 14 deaths so far from the awful storm we had last night! It kept us all up! I was thankful to hear from Kathy and found out she was ok. Stephen just came and picked up the kids so I get a chance to post and let Kathy know we're ok. They closed 441 down by the Villages and their has been helicopters flying all over my house. I don't know what you all see on the news but these people need prayers! We only had a tree branch here and there and that was it. My sister said she heard that awful sound and they took cover. They live closer to the villages then we do. We are waiting to hear from the red cross now to see where we can go to help out. My brother in law owns a dump truck business and we are going to help with the clean up.

We haven't booked yet. Steve has been working some awful hours and he hasn't gotten a chance to think about it. We're still thinking: DCL or AAA?
Linda did you get my e-mail about the pot pie? I hope you understood what I was saying! Sometimes I have a hard time understanding myself!

boy am I glad to hear from you. I was getting worried. If I didnt hear from you by this evening I was going to call you to check on you. Unfortuantly the death toll is now 19. 2 are still missing, hopefully they went to a friend or relatives house to stay.
This was not a good day all around . First the tornadoes and then my daughter had a head on wreck. some guy came at her head on doing 50 MPH. luckily she is ok. I dont know about the man who hit her. Of course it totaled her car. I told her cars can be repleaced, you cant!! Just be grateful you are safe!!!
I cant wait for tomarrow, hopefully it will be a better day for everyone.

Those are really CUTE Lynn! Glad you are going to sign up for the cruise too - we will DEFINITELY want to link ressies with you again;-) (and anyone else who wants main seating!!)

The next two pages of my trip report are some of the other DISer friends - sadly, I'm missing quite a few good pictures, that turned out to be not so good And HOW I wish I had them!

We loved our stateroom, just two doors down from the stateroom we had last cruise. Good thing we liked it, too, because we sure ended up spending a LOT of time in it!

After boat drill, the fairygodmothers gathered in Sarah and Stony's suite to parcel out the gifts for Anika and Mikayla - Actually SARAH did the bulk of the organizing there - thank heavens.

On this two pages the visible journaling is Anika's comment to the Fairy Godmother - "I have fairygodmother's TOO!" The main photo opens, though, to reveal a copy of Shirleys email, Celine's email, and the spreadsheet of FairyGodmothers and their gifts.

I have to say, right here, The DIS meets, both casual and official, and the Fairy Godmothers and our mission, MADE this cruise for me. Lots of other bits were fun but this right here was IT. You guys ROCK!

Our DIS tablemates were simply the BEST! The other family was very nice - the little girl was absolutely the sweetest - but they marched to the beat of their own drummer, so it took some getting used to for some of us. Servers were Nicholetta and Mickey.

We had wonderful times by the pools - the adult pool was actually warm enough for once, and we were in it every day. I discovered a new drink, thanks to a Jersey boy - the Mojito or some such thing - sharp and refreshing.

Our first port, after two choppy days at sea, was St. Maarten. It was lovely from the ship, but I didn't love the overcrowded downtown with too many tshirt shops and jewelry stores. I would have liked to go to the beach, but once we took the water taxi back to the ship to change, had lunch and discovered how quiet the pool was, my energy had slipped away, and we landed by the pool instead.

That night was pirate night. I forget what we did instead, but I do know that except for dinner, we totally missed it! And didn't mind the loss. For us too loud, too crowded, too too!

On our journey, lots of souvenirs found their way to our stateroom and of course I saved everyone - except the flat bottle, which I wish I had now.

Tomorrow? St. Thomas and I'm gonna love you EVERY DAAAAAAAAAAY OF THE WEEEEEEEEEEEEK!

Kathy and PAt - thank God you are alright!! I heard on the news on the way home from work. Kathy - also glad your daughter is OK. Pat - Stephen and Esther are OK too I hope?? I can imagine they must be busy given the work they do - comfort will be in high demand I am sure.

Linda - thanks for remembering us! I know I have been a bit of a fair weather friend around here - it is NOT anything personal...I love you guys! Things are just swamped. 2008 is definately on my mind though - you can be sure.

Kathy: Wally and I were discussing the bump up to deck 7 and we have decided against it. I think we will just stay on deck 5 and save 600.00 which we can use for our air fare or just spending money. We figure we were not in the cabin that much anyway. Sorry.....but hey....ya have a deck 7 party we may just pop in.......
