Shore excursions-Which beach serves the best tequila? What? You have your requirements and I have mine..........

Actually, Christine I'm game for anything but I would love to charter some boats. I would rather be on the water than the beach. That's what happens when you can stick your feet in the sand any time you like:rolleyes1

Yeah, I think Joey and Jacob would enjoy it. They could look for turtles together

It's more than just being a loud-mouthed weirdo. She has a terrible personality, a sad soul. Just a pathetic human. (I'm doing my best to say what I mean ... am I coming thru?!)

Gee Shell...tell us how you really feel:rotfl2:

Well Terri at this rate; I'm going to be here a while..........

Mel-Why are you selling your camper?

Christine-I'm totally addicted to Boston Proper!!!! By the time I finish buying enough cruise clothes; I won't have enough money to board the ship. I like the sale section.

Good afternoon to all my other adorable Nanas........

Hey everyone. Anyone else see the Feb. Conde Nast Traveler ? They rate cruise ships and among large ships, the Wonder is ranked #2 and the Magic #6. It's pretty strange considering they are essentially the same ship. Here are the category ratings:

Overall Score -- Wonder 86.1 Magic 82.0
Itineraries -- Wonder 80.9 Magic 77.9 (huh?)
Shore Excursions -- Wonder 76.4 Magic 71.1
Crew/Service -- Wonder - 94.0 Magic 86.7
Cabins -- Wonder - 91.5 Magic 85.4 (again, same/same)
Food Dining -- Wonder 88.4 Magic 76.7
Activities/Facilities -- Wonder 89.9 Magic 87.0
Design/Layout -- Wonder - 91.9 Magic 89.4

Now we have yet to sail the Wonder but this sure seems odd to me. Do you think that many of the people filling out the survey didn't really KNOW which ship they were on..just knew it was DCL?

Just something fun for discussion today. Now...discuss.

No good news to report on our front, but we thank you for keeping us in your thoughts.

Jeff

First off, you guys are definitely in our prayers.:grouphug:

Secondly, that don't make no sense (said in my best Bubba voice). Of course, I saw a similar survey in the travel paper here in Atlanta, and it ONLY listed the Wonder and not the Magic. Didn't understand that one either.

Jeff-
That's really weird. I've been on both Wonder/Magic. They're pretty much the same ship.

I could see maybe the dining getting different ratings, because that could vary. But I REALLY don't understand why the itinerary would get better with the Wonder. Because of Nassau.... ick!!!

Maybe it has something to do with different people who have cruised on either ship. The Wonder would be more likely to be brand new cruisers since it's a short itinerary... just a thought.

I'm sorry things aren't going well!:grouphug:

I know, I check the mail everyday for their catalogs. I totalled up everything that I wanted from their two new catalogs...$1200:scared1: Yeah, I don't think so. I will have to wait for most of it to go on sale. I checked their new markdowns about once a week. Although, after next week I won't be looking at any catalogs...I am giving up shopping for Lent:scared:

Hi Shell, Wendy & Christine!:flower3:

What green light are you talking about Shell? How does that work?
:lmao:

some of this doesnt make sense but some does.

Food is better on the Wonder over all. but this last trip the steam tables wernt hot enough on the buffet. But the quality according to my family is much better than the Magic.

Design/Layout.
The Wonder has Route 66 which is light and colorful.
The Magic has Beat Street which is quite dark and gloomy as you walk down the halls. I think that is the basic difference. On the Wonder it strikes you as a happier atmosphere around the club area.

The rest of the items are crazy in my opinion and you all know my opinion is the only one that counts:rolleyes1
