Jeff, I go through Insuremytrip.com and buy the Travelex Silver (if I recall correctly, will do more research and let you know for sure). That provides us with sufficient medical and medical evacuation coverage in case something happens on the ship, and also provides all the trip interruption/cancellation insurance. It is generally about half of what DCL charges.

I'm finding two choices - Travelex Lite and Plus. I'm assuming you are talking about "lite" since it is about $150 less than the DCL policy for us while the other one is more

well they are predicting good weather for the weekend, but I wont believe it until I see it. Weather changes fast here just like in Florida.

My oldest daughter and grandkds are coming to visit this weekend which wil be fun since I havnt seen them yet.

I am cooking a pot of beans and ham this morning with biscuits for dinner. I may even splurge and make some cookies too.

Okay I haven't been on in afew days because Monday April 7th, 2008 Julie Lynn was born. Yes, she was 3 weeks early but she is healthy and doing great. She arrived at 7:59 pm and was 5lb 10oz. DS is getting used to having another child around. I will post pictures tomorrow. I haven't sleep in days because you can't sleep in a hosptial. Just want to share the good news with you guys!! Talk to you soon!!

Hi guys. Thank you so much for making feel better that I wasn't just overreacting.

To make a very long story as short as possible:

The principal did take it very seriously. One of the girls received ISS and the girl who created the website received OSS. I don't know how many days. Last night I really struggles with this because I knew the girl would be punished and I felt for her. I just knew as soon as she realized the severity of what she had done she would be remorseful and it would be too late. Guess what? She actually told the principal that her mom knew about the website. She said her mom hadn't actually seen it but she told her about it The principal told me they had been unable to reach her but she would let me know if she did in fact have any knowledge. So much for the remorse. This is what is leading me to debate whether or not to call in the police. I just don't want to stirl the waters too much for Jacob. So far he seems alright.

I asked her if she had said why she hates him so much. The principal said she didn't ask. Excuse me? I said "well, could you please". I would really like to know why this 10 yr old child holds so much hatred toward him.

So, I gave her a few other names of girls who have been giving him a hard time. We've been discussing this with his teachers and guidance counselor for a couple of months and it was just brushed off to teasing. Then one day he showed me a bruise on his leg where they were kicking him. Jacob knows not to hit girls and doesn't want to be a tattle tale. The teachers just turned a blind eye. Hopefully now they will be a little more observant.

So, if the mom knew..............well, let's just say I'm not going to be very happy.

On a brighter note: The sun decided to come out today for the first time since last Friday and of course I have you

Yes, go to the Police...maybe you can get a restraining order on the whole family. I truly just don't understand some parents. They just don't hold their kids accountable for their actions. Make sure the school follows up and does what they are supposed to.

Oh Kim, my heart just goes out to you. I am so glad to hear that the girls got in trouble, though I would have like to at least seen some remorse like you said. You have me an opportunity to talk to Hunter about e-bullying. He doesn't get on the computer that much, but I don't want him to EVER be a part of that. He told me that NO ONE should ever talk about his BEST FRIEND like that. So that should make Jacob feel a little better. Keep your chin up sis. We love you.

His school musical "Oliver" is next Tuesday and I have called every aunt, uncle, cousin, etc (nanas are always welcome) to be there. I want him to feel REALLY, REALLY, loved that day and show the school he has a huge support group. You don't **** with my kid...........especially not a Nana Kid

Kim...very sorry about what your going thru...that is terrible. Your right about the parents. What are they thinking? With all these school shootings you would think parents would tell their kids not to pick on anyone.
When my kids your younger and in school....that was one thing that I tried to instill in them. My son would come home and be making fun of someone in his room. I would look at him and say..."are you any better than him/her"..
"what makes you think you have the right to say anything bad to that person, who are you?" They got the message and at least wouldnt say anything negative about anyone in front of me...and hopefully they carried that with them while in school. Again really sorry for all this.....its very hard.

While you are probably right, I would likely call them - but not just because of the kid as much as the parents. If they knew this was going on and did nothing to stop it they need to have some serious discussions with an officer of the law, imo.
