I suspect ... I mean it's just a hunch really ... that with THIS group, if there are any kids even near the adult areas (ESPECIALLY the pool), something will be said, and harped on, and said again until the problem is resolved.

Another kid question? At dinner, do they have it where families with kids sit with other families with kids? I'd hate for DS to disturb other diners who are there for an adult meal.

We have late seating too. I tried for early, but no luck there...all full for our sailing.

First, ask your TA to wait list you early seating if that is what you want, second yes they usually do try to seat you accordingly. If you are with all adults, just explain to them he is 2 yrs old and apoligize in advance :rotfl2:
Don't stress over it as it is your vacation and you should enjoy it, on the other hand, if you are stressing, ask to be seated alone so you will at least enjoy your dinners. But in all honesty, when its not your kid, usually it doesn't bother you. :thumbsup2

We have been on four cruises. On three of them we have been seated alone. No tablemates. On the one where we did have tablemates, they were another family with 2 young kids.

BTW if you are interested in early dining, you should go right to Rockin Bar D when you get to the port and see if you can get changed. It usually works out.

Yes, It's hard with a two year old, you don't want to ruin dinner for others with your screaming child. I always worry about that, even with family. That's one of the main reasons we did DCL this time around. I wanted to feel comfortable cruising with my little one, and DCL seemed to encourage family travel on their ships.

I just hope others at my table feel the same. I had my reservation linked to the Nana's, to sit with some of you guys. We enjoy meeting new people at the assigned dinner tables.

I may need to ask a few of you on here how you feel about sitting with kids for dinner first, b/c if some are opposed, I need to call and change the request. I couldn't get the Nursery reserved every night for dinner, just for two nights.

Morning Nana's!!

I'm headed to work again. (gotta earn a little extra to pay for our cabin upgrade) :woohoo: :woohoo:

Have a great day Nana's!!

45 DAYS LEFT!! :cool1: :cool1:

Must have been some really bad kids invading the adult pool last time you sailed?

Steph, take it easy. Regardless of what you're reading on here, we really don't hate children! For the late diners, we have quite a few kids that will be with us. In fact, this year, we are going to have a kids-only table (obviously Wyatt would be too young for that!) because they enjoy each other's company. So stop fretting ... and ... one other thing ... Melanie from last year had the exact same dilemma, and she eventually got her 18mo old into Flounders for dinner because it was less stress on HER and she and Chris could actually enjoy dinner. Something to think about.

I am not going to speak for anyone here but I would tell you to not worry about it so much. DCL *IS* perfect for families and there are kids EVERYWHERE at dinner both early and late. The servers do a pretty good job of helping to keep kids entertained. And if our little one is getting wiggly, we take her out to see what characters are in the lobby before the food comes, etc. One tip is to have the server NOT bring your kids' food super early. When they do that, your kid then has a ton of time to just sit and watch you eat. We have found that if we all are waiting for food upfront and then are all eating together, it works best.

Truly you will be fine. And if you got Flounders for 2 nights, it gives you and Greg some great quality time for a quiet dinner.
