Now that would be fun! I'd love a southern.

It was one of the best sailings that we have been on. But, I must admit that I had a little mishap on this cruise - I broke my foot in Aruba!! Leaving Carlos and Charlies. No, I wasn't drunk...just nervous.

DH says that we are in the cheap seats, that's just b/c we always get a balcony cabin, and usually a suite too. But this time, we got a Cat 8, and I think we are on the Deck 7. I love that DCL has a tub in all rooms!

Yeah, but keep in mind they are really small tubs:scared:

:scared: That stinks...what did you do? How many days into the cruise were you?

Marie, none of us have made our own FE's we have all gotten them from DSparks (Dawn). That is why no one is answering you here.
That and none of us are obsessed with our FEs. It's just something to take along, certainly not the thing that we centralize our entire vacations around!

:rotfl2: Bet that's a good story. So what were your other ports?

Ahhhh:love: Let's all take a break:

Speaking of marathons (or half-marathons) -- I'm very loosely considering the Va. Beach 1/2 in March -- someone volunteered to be there for me with drinks @ the end...or was she just volunteering to be drinking while standing and waiting for me at the finish line?:confused3 :confused3

Bill, we could start training now (or right after we get back from the cruise)...:rolleyes1

If I do a marathon, it will have to be a destination marathon -- Vegas, Hawaii, possibly WDW, etc. I know the Chicago marathon is supposed to be very good (well, except for last year), but I need to go more than 1 hour away if I'm going to run aimlessly for 26.2 miles!!

:faint: NFW!!! Rock and Roll or Shamrock? This is an important question as it helps me determine what type of beverage to bring. Do it!! Do it!!! Do it!!!!

Last year on the Norwegian Jewel, I stubbed my little toe really bad, and it turned black and blue. I actually ran into the back of my husband's foot. He was walking on deck in front of me, as we were checking out the ship, and I was looking around, and he stopped on a dime right in front of me, and I stubbed my toe right into the back of his shoe. It hurt so bad, and I totally blamed him for it! I couldn't wear any pretty heels with any of my dress clothes; had to wear flip flops all week. (I know that doesn't sound bad, but I'm pretty short, and I need the heels!)

When we were in the pool a few days later, we met another lady who had stubbed her toe, and thought she had broken it. She went to the infirmary and they taped it up for her and gave her tylenol or motrin. I figured they charged her $100, but she said they didn't charge her at all.

I hope none of us hurt body parts on this cruise.

well since I am about to work for the spawn of satan as of Nov 1st maybe you could give me some advice?

Wendy did I miss this? Did you get the job? If ya did congrats...but sorry you have to work for "the spawn"

Can ya'll tell my boss is not here today since I am able to post way more frequently!!!!!

Yep, thats what I usually do instead of just lunch time!!:thumbsup2

OMG a third top in a row. That one was a true surprise. When I was typing I had NO idea that we were anywhere near the top. :cool1:

Whomever signs on later this afternoon is going to have a lot of catching up to do. And since our conversation is so fascinating they won't want to miss a post! :lmao:

Thanks Jeff, and just last nite we were tied....I guessI have to work on this when I get home tonite..!!!;)

Is anyone planning a group Palo thing? We should ask DCL if we can rent one of their ballrooms for a meet :rotfl: Complete with wine tasting, Martini and tequila tasting and a Palo brunch. :goodvibes

:dance3: :dance3: that sounds good to me.....cuz disney should know that us nana's deserve "special treatment"!!!!

Greg and I went on the Adventurer of the Seas in May 2004. It left from San Juan and did a 10 day Southern Caribbean. It is a tad smaller than the Freedom, but I think all the Freedom has that the AOS doesn't is the Surfing thing. The AOS was huge, it has it all, and I think it still does the Southern in the summer too. The promenades in those ships are amazing.

We went on the Explorer of the Seas for 9 nights caribbean and Bermuda, sister ship of Adventure. We loved it, This is our first 7 night since our Explorer cruise. Did a 3 night on the Wonder, but this is the test. I can't even begin to tell you how much fun the Explorer was, I can't compare because as far as entertainment, RCCL wins hands down.

KIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   I swear I was just looking at a picture of you!

Hey everyone!

Christine, sorry to hear about your grandmother.... sucks to be so helpless in these things.

Day two of running the shop. I dont wanna be resposible anymore!

And you guys with sailing stories and pics...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr it just makes me wanna get on the boat....someone make the 40+ days go by quick!!!

da mutt

Things I am NOT going to miss doing this year on the ship:

1. Visit the ice cream station. I've been on DCL 3 times now and have yet to stop at the ice cream station. Mutt has promised to make me a super-special banana smoothie with ice cream

2. Watch Key West come into view from Deck 10

3. Ask the server to "spice up" my meals so they aren't the bland DCL fare.

I'm sure I'll think of some more ...

You forgot spoon BFF-VA and Next Door Neighbor:woohoo: Could you just call me when you leave the room to see if I want to go? This would be easier than looking at the Navigators every day:thumbsup2
