when you rebooked on board did they give you the 1/2 off deposit price like advertised on their site or did you have to pay the regular deposit?

Yes they did! We only had to pay $500 for the four of us.

Well, today was Joshua's first day of college-made it though classes ok he said-just a little shocked by his chem class that was 150 students in a lecture hall. Sounds like he is getting along "great" on his own-but he will be home on this weekend

Going to see Journey, Cheap Trick, and Heart tomorrow night -I never got to see them in their hey day 25yrs ago (wow has it been that long ) but I can't wait to see them....wonder what the crowd is gonna look like---a bunch of middle aged people wishing for yesterday??? --yeah baby....that's me....oh I wish Steve Perry was there

Terri - I use InsureMyTrip.com to find a good rate. Best I have found (and used on the last 2 cruises is TravelEx "Lite" policy. I think it is costing us $144 for the Nov. cruise which is less than half the cost of the DCL coverage and seems to have all the same features. I believe BobGA used them in 06 and actually had to cash in because he got sick and said they were very good.

Terri, we have travelex also. Like Jeff said.... seems to be good coverage for the money.

Also, made some AWESOME super-easy redskin potatoes yesterday:

3 T margarine
1 T honey
1 t. dry mustard
salt & pepper to taste

Cut redskins in half and lay flat in a baking dish. Melt margarine and mix with all other ingredients, pour over potatoes, bake for 35 minutes (or until tender) at 375, mixing half way thru the baking time. Mmmmmmmmmmm ..... we had them with Caribbean-spiced grilled shrimp and it was unbelievable!!!

Yes, that is the policy I used, and yes, I do have experience with filing a claim. They even refunded the money for the College Football Bowl tickets that we were supposed to use the day we left the ship, when I spent 20 hours sleeping in a hotel room between trips to the potty! Great to deal with, and a very speedy turnaround. But, here's to hoping I never need to cash in again!

Have fun at your concert! Cheap Trick is from Rockford -- a little claim to fame. Ariel's (Little Mermaid) voice is also from Rockford. Maybe I can find a CD of Cheap Trick singing the Little Mermaid soundtrack for my regional gift....
