Morning Nanas!

Happy Tuesday! Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Elmer: Tell old blue Happy Birthday. ;)

Well you know, you apparently go all around and over Atlanta, but never stop in to say hello!:confused3 ;)

If we ever get to Atlanta, Bob, we surely *WILL* stop to say hello! So far, though, I've managed to avoid going anywhere near it because reports of the traffic have scared me off.

Atlanta isn't near as bad as Chicago or LA! I avoid LA at all costs. Time Chicago when everyone is at work. Atlanta basically the same avoid rush hour but I always cruise right through. It helps to know where you're going though because you can be on one side of the road and the turn is on the other!

Good Morning! Checking in and catching up before I leave for the day. Let's see how many posts there are today.

Have a great Tuesday!

Suuuure you will! If I can drive in NYC, you can handle the traffic in Atlanta!:lmao:

That's the spirit!

And I'm DARN SURE we don't go down and drive in New York City!!! :lmao: I had to go to the city once, about 10-15 years ago - I took the train and WALKED where I needed to go.

Bob, we live in the country - two lane roads is more my speed.

Morning all:

Well, I agree with Dawn, Chicago is worse than Atlanta. But the few times we have driven thru Atlanta we had it timed right and missed the rush hours. Actually the downtown area looks really nice.

Well just dropping in to say hello.....ya all have agood one......

Elmer waiting patiently for your family pictures.....;)

First time I actually drove in NYC (second or third visit), Lisa was with me. We were actually in NJ, and I was going to drive to the river for her to see the Twin Tower memorial lights (this was just a few months after 9/11). I missed the last exit and told her, "If I'm going to pay the toll, we are going to drive downtown." We went right through Times Square and down towards Ground Zero. She didn't hardly say a word until we crossed back into NJ. Then, her comment was: "The scariest part about that whole experience was the fact that you had the attitude to drive with those people!":rotfl2:

It is a painting to cover up the ugly!:lmao: Just kidding. Atlanta could really be a beautiful city, but the infrastructure is so messed up that it has been used as an excellent example of how NOT to plan a city's expansion!

Hey Denise!:wave2:

Hello all
It's been so long since I posted that I do believe you might have forgotten me!

It is with great sorrow that I must post this: We aren't going to be going on this cruise with you all:sad2:
We have a lot of personal issues surrounding this family at this moment and I won't go on and on about them. However, I do have one that I wish to share with you all.
Esther has been diagnosed with cervical cancer and we wish to request your prayers and pixie dust. This has hit Stephen pretty hard and Esther isn't doing real well with it either. Some of you know Stephen and Esther, so, if you will, please keep them in your thoughts.
Thanks so much for your kindness.
I will miss seeing you all and I will miss meeting all the new Nanaheads. This has been a tough year for so many of us. I will continue to peek in every once in a while to say hello and see what you all are up to. We are hoping to go next year. ALL of us!
Thanks
Pat

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: for you and your family, Pat. Know that we are thinking of you and hoping for the best.

Good morning nanas!

We are in Wisconsin Dells for a few days (think Gatlinburg with traffic that moves!). I'm just sitting here on our balcony overlooking the golf course. If I wait here long enough, BFW should be along to tee off!

Jess is already impatiently waiting to go to the resort's water park, so I guess I should start packing up the beach bag...

TTYL!!

Howdy all, Huckledoodledoo its blue burthday. My old hound dog turned 19 today. Ma always makes him up his own cake from a concoction of corn meal, beef stock and peanut butter. All didnt go so well today though, we was wachin ole blue go to town on that cake and Verna go to laughin so hard she lost her bottm teeth in some of the peanut buttery and old blue took to chewin on them and now there no better than bits and pieces of a jugsaw puzzle. Ma will be eating mush til she can get to a tooth doctor to have some more teeth made. I had one of th e eggheads from work come over this weeken and help me send my cruisin pictre to miss woogal, we took it on vacation a couple years ago at a county fair. Gotta go Help ma with the younguns for bed.

Elmer

Well shucks Elmer, that's too bad about Verna's teeth! Sure hope she can get into a tooth doctor quick cuz mush can get kinda old after a while!

Happy burthday to Blue! Wow, he's old. Good thing he still has teeth. Maybe that's why he took Vernas, for just-in-case! :rotfl2:
