Kathy: We did not do Mr. Toad (girls don't like dark rides)
Dawn: No, it's called something else here - something bear- related but it is similar but much longer, better and wetter than the one at AK.

We will be heading off to the park soon, God help us. We were supposed to get up and go to Toontown for an early entry family event but decided an extra hour of sleep was more important to keeping our day a little less stressed. I think it was the right decision. Lunch at Ariel's Grotto with Ariel and other princesses.

We also plan to be first in line to either ride or get fast passes (or both) for Soarin. today but then plan to spend the late afternoon and evening at Disneyland.

I checked in at the hotel for the cruise yesterday. They tell me it's sold out! Tomorrow we dont get picked up for the cruise until 12:20. Have no idea why so late...but I understand the port here isn't anything like PC so perhaps getting there and getting right on the ship might be the best way to go.

It's called the Grizzle River Rapids. It's one of our favorite rides but we don't go on it all the time because you get soaked.

Mr. Toad is Joey's favoirte ride. It's nothing special just a typical dark ride but you do go to hell which is always interesting.

Jeff sorry you aren't having the greatest of times in DL. You're really not missing that much at the port. The only thing you will miss is some character photos and the band (which is way to loud). If you do have some time after you check in walk outside (towards the little conveinence store) you can get really close to the ship.

Cheryl - Welcome! I'm so glad you joined our group.

I can empathize with the Dane slobber and nail clipping. We had 2 fawn danes growing up and they were big babies. They were such great dogs! They used to love riding in the back of my mom's convertible with the top down - wind blowing their jowels, head in the wind and dog slobber flying behind . They were lovin life.

OK - I have a cruise question. I want to buy a fish extender. Where can I get one - do I have to go on e-bay??

Ok - So far a MUCH better day today. Had a scary start (went to Ralph Brennan's for Beignets and I think they fried them in last night's fish oil. But then things improved.
We raced into Disneyland to get Emily an Alice in Wonderland costume. Maybe I'll download later and post some pics.
Then we wanted to be first in to California Adventure so we used the Grand Californian's back entrance, went right to get fast passes for Soarin' then over to Toy Story ride (my new fave). Back to ride Soarin'....lunch with Ariel, Snow White, Cinderella, Belle and Aurora. Then Elizabeth and I rode the Grizzly rapids ride again...then we all went to see the High School Musical Street Party..then we split up...Emily and Mina saw Jasmine and Aladdin and were on their way to Playhouse Disney but Em changed her mind and they came back to the room. Lizzie and I rode the boardwalk rides - the swings inside the orange (twice), the jumpin jellyfish, silver rocket and the Maliboomer - sort of a reverse Tower of Terror outdoors but higher (and we rode it twice).

Now we are back in the room regrouping. I think we're going to the pool then to Disneyland tonight!

I was looking at Magic pictures as always and say Mickey and Mini on deck in Mexican costumes. Is this something special that is anounced or something you take the chance of being on deck when there there. I DONT want to miss that.

Ahhh, pure envy here! I have 12 years to go. Enjoy every minute of it because I'm sure you've earned it.

Gailyn, we have a big fawn boy with uncropped ears. Don't you love these guys? I cram my big guy into a Grand Marquis and his head rides against the roof. I'm the only person I know who has to vacuum the roof in my car. When we stop at red lights we always have teens taking pictures of him on their cell phones. I guess we look pretty strange...gray haired old lady and the beast.

Hi Christine! Looks like you have found Nana-travel to be addictive. I can see why. What a great group!!

I'm hoping you all will get my hubby hooked on DCL so we can do future cruises with this gang. He did one Wonder cruise with Mary and me and he was overwhelmed by the 1,000 kids on board. What did he expect?? (and what made him marry me with my 6 kids???) Anyway, I'm hoping that on a longer cruise he'll find some people to share some brews with and enjoy the adult benefits of DCL. If anyone can get him addicted I think it will be this group!

Okay, I'm off to pack for our Bermuda cruise. We leave in 6 days so I'd better get hoppin'.

I hope everyone has been having a wonderful weekend. Weather has been very nice here in Georgia, so we had a great day yesterday. Ended up going riding on the motorcycle for a few hours and having lunch at a BBQ joint down the road from us (a break from the diet for a treat).

But, I also weighed in yesterday morning and officially passed 100 pounds lost! 102.2 to be exact! Only about 60 more to go. Don't know that I will make it before the cruise, but I should be pretty close to goal when we next see you all.

Last night was weird. Apparently in California people line up for 2 hours in advance for fireworks. Then they close all of Fantasyland for more than an hour in prep for and during the fireworks. We joke that Pittsburgh people will come out for fireworks at a funeral. Apparently it's worse here.
