HI Cheryl,
I am so glad you decided to join us here.:goodvibes
I already warned everyone to be nice and to NOT scare you away by revealing what they are really like.:scared:

we are crazy but a fun lovable crazy.:rolleyes1

Just watch out for The Mutt. he hasnt appeared for awhile but when he does it often gets extra crazy around here.

Now that you've made the leap and posted, I am counting on you posting at least once a day to get aquainted, ok?

Thanks everyone for the good wishes for the man who was injured today. I did hear tonight he is in a coma and not expected to make it. severe burns over 90% of his body. But if he makes the first 2 or 3 days, his chances improve greatly to survive. So keep the prayers and pixie dust coming for him and I will let you know if I hear anything else.

we will be gone part of saturday to look at a couple of trailers but I will post when we return.
so behave yourselves until I get back ok, I dont want to miss anything:rolleyes1

Kathy

GRANDSONS! I thought they were your kids in the photo - you look so young!

Welcome Cheryl and Family. I'm Linda, traveling with dh Bruce and two teddy bears, Dimples and OC.

Kathy, prayers that you and hammer can sleep peacefully tonight. And prayers for the poor man who was injured and his family. That is horrible horrible.

WOW Linda, Dawn will love you forever after that comment

DL update. Front row seats for the 6:30 p.m. parade at DL. Then to DCA to see what we could do. Road the rapids ride (cant remember name) and got soaked. Then wanted to do Soarin but line was too much and no fast passes left. Lizzie and I went to Paradise Pier and road the "swings" twice....stood in line for Mulhullond Madness roller coaster. It broke down just about five minutes before we'd get on and they had to walk people down the tracks. :scared1: Then tried to do Toy Story Madness at the end of the night and decided we were too tired after standing for about 15 minutes. Went to leave park and got trapped by the Spectromagic parade. Ended up watching most of it as we waited to cross street (had we stayed at Toy Story we would have gotten on).

Kind of a bad day at the parks for the jd99s. :lmao: Tomorrow must be better.

Jeff,
sorry to hear it wasnt too good today.
Tomorrow will be better:goodvibes

we hope to stop by there in November on our way back to Florida. hopefully it wont be too crowded on a weekday.

Did you do Mr. Toads wild race?
I guess it is a classic and they took it out from WDW before we ever went there. Just curious if its worth going on or not.

Keep us posted tomorrow.

Spectromagic is a cool parade, I've seen it a few times at WDW.

Morning Nanas!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

DW and I went riding on the motorcycle last night. :moped: I may try and talk her into let's ditching what we have to do today and go for a ride again. I am in one of those moods where I just need a break from "responsibility" for a day or so before I head back out of town!:sad2:

About to go and weigh in since I didn't get to do it while I was out of town. Have a great Saturday!:thumbsup2

Good Morning!

Not much going on around here today. Have a couple errands to take care of.

Sounds like you need a break Bob! Have some fun and relaxation! The work will wait until tomorrow--it isn't going any where!

Jeff, Were you talking about Kali River Rapids? That's a fun one! I came off with just my bottom wet--looked like a peed my pants :rotfl: Did you do the ferris wheel? I chickened out. Couldn't do it!

I'll check back in later.

Morning Nanas    Decided I'm going to sell zucchini bread since I have so much, so this weekend will be about baking-baking-baking! We have a group coming in from San Antonio this week at work so I'm hoping to get orders from them too. All that $$ goes into Mr. Money Monkey for cruise cocktails!

morning, today is a work day for me too Okie, yippee!!!

Watched the opening ceramony and thought they did a great job

everyone have a good day

Mornin' Nanas.
Kathy: We did not do Mr. Toad (girls don't like dark rides)
Dawn: No, it's called something else here - something bear- related but it is similar but much longer, better and wetter than the one at AK.

We will be heading off to the park soon, God help us. We were supposed to get up and go to Toontown for an early entry family event but decided an extra hour of sleep was more important to keeping our day a little less stressed. I think it was the right decision. Lunch at Ariel's Grotto with Ariel and other princesses.

We also plan to be first in line to either ride or get fast passes (or both) for Soarin. today but then plan to spend the late afternoon and evening at Disneyland.

I checked in at the hotel for the cruise yesterday. They tell me it's sold out! Tomorrow we dont get picked up for the cruise until 12:20. Have no idea why so late...but I understand the port here isn't anything like PC so perhaps getting there and getting right on the ship might be the best way to go.

Happy Saturday everyone.

Jeff

Morning All:

Welcome Cheryl, I'm traveling with myself (tonya), DH Trey and our DS Hunter who will be 12 when we board.

I too watched the opening ceremonies last night. They were great.

I just got down mowing the front yard and I am so sweating. Yuck. This is why people with grass allergies shouldn't mow. Trey is on duty this weekend and so I decided to pick up the slack. He's usually does the yard and the laundry, so I guess its my turn. We are expecting rain this afternoon so we gotta get it down.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I miss ya all.

Good morning everyone! Thanks so much for all of the wonderful welcomes and hellos. You sure know how to get someone excited about traveling with you!

I have an exciting day ahead of me. I get to trim 3 of the Great Dane's toenails (I can only do a few toes a day because the big baby just disintegrates after that), then I get to clean Dane slobber off of the walls - YUK, and then I'm going to work on getting Mary signed up on the DIS. I figure it will only take her about 6 hours to decide on a screen name...:scared1:

Cheryl

Cheryl - Welcome! I'm so glad you joined our group.

I can empathize with the Dane slobber and nail clipping. We had 2 fawn danes growing up and they were big babies. They were such great dogs! They used to love riding in the back of my mom's convertible with the top down - wind blowing their jowels, head in the wind and dog slobber flying behind :rotfl: :rotfl: . They were lovin life.

OK - I have a cruise question. I want to buy a fish extender. Where can I get one - do I have to go on e-bay??

Thanks,
Gailyn:)
