Morning Nanas!

I hope everyone has been having a wonderful weekend. Weather has been very nice here in Georgia, so we had a great day yesterday. Ended up going riding on the motorcycle for a few hours and having lunch at a BBQ joint down the road from us (a break from the diet for a treat).

But, I also weighed in yesterday morning and officially passed 100 pounds lost! 102.2 to be exact! Only about 60 more to go. Don't know that I will make it before the cruise, but I should be pretty close to goal when we next see you all.

Good morning all,
well we lost our internet AGAIN , Just got it back 10 minutes ago.
Apparently theres something to do with the router in the office here.
When we dont have service we have to have them reboot their router and the we have service.
of course sunday morning nobody was around. Usually we have 2 camp hosts available but there were gone too


we have a beautiful sunny day here today. I think its suppose to hit 80 or close to it.

Been a long weekend here. Greg has been very down after witnessing the fire on Friday morning. he has spoke of other details i wont discuss but its very traumatizing for everyone. even the firemen knew him so it was hard on them. 2 of the volunteer firemen froze up and just stood there in shock.
well anyway we will work through it in time.

we did find a newpaper article yesterday and today that said he is still alive and still in the drug induced coma with 2nd and 3rd degree burns over 90% of his body. he is critical and not expected to live, however with each passing day his odds improve.



No plans for today, maybe play some scrabble. that is the only game Greg likes to play and of course it is the only game I can never seem to beat him at. we have played it for years and I have only won once that I can recall

Gailyn: Our garden is doing WONDERFULLY! I'll bet there's a couple hundred tomatoes just waiting to turn red (we'll can sauce and salsa with those), lots of peppers (but the jalepenos aren't hot this year at all; getting lots of banana peppers ironically!), and we are growing eggplant for the first time ever, and have 3 nice-sized ones coming in now with a bunch more flowers just waiting to start producing fruit.

As of right now, I have 14 loaves of zucchini bread made and plan to make another dozen this afternoon and tonight. Whew!

Wow thats a lot of bread baking

I always just shred the zuchini and freeze in in the exact quantity my recipe calls for and bake in the cool of the winter. it warms the house and smells so good.

From the Northwest Florida Daily News comes this story of a Crestview couple who drove their car to Wal-Mart, only to have their car break down in the parking lot. The man told his wife to carry on with the shopping while he fixed the car in the lot.

The wife returned later to see a small group of people near the car. On closer inspection, she saw a pair of male legs protruding from under the chassis.

Although the man was in shorts, his lack of underwear turned private parts into glaringly public ones. Unable to stand the embarrassment, she dutifully stepped forward, quickly put her hand UP his shorts and tucked everything back into place. On regaining her feet, she looked across the hood and found herself staring at her husband, who was standing idly by. The mechanic, however, had to have three stitches in his forehead.

Hello everyone
I know I won't be able to catch up on all the posts and I am really sad and numb since mom died. I just can't believe this has happened. My dad said that we are all still going on this cruise to honor mom because she loved the MAGIC! I have never been cruisin without her and this will be so different. We were so close and she was such an important part of my life and I feel very empty. I feel robbed because she was so young and full of life! DS Layne ended up having asthma attack and is on meds because of the stress. I feel lost!

I know how hard it is for a girl to lose her mother (and you're always a girl, where your mother is involved, no matter how old you are) - I was 27 when my mother died - my gosh i've lived over half my life without her - and I couldn't talk about her without crying for about 15 years. If you need a shoulder to lean on, please feel free to pm me.

GreatDaneMom, let's introduce our husbands - mine also likes to lift a glass now and then - and in fact at 1:01 on sailaway day, you will find us at Signals so he can do just that!

Thanks for all the congratulations folks. It has been a long time (13 months so far) and I probably have another 6 months to go to reach my goal. Lisa has been doing great as well. She has lost just over 30 pounds, and says she wants to lose another 10...though I don't know from where!
