Day 3 - Cabo

We had to tender into Cabo but it was really easy. They had smaller boats the took everyone with an excusion on and then bigger ones for people without excusions. We waited about 20 min since we didn't have anything booked. The port has a bunch of shops and a bunch of people trying to get you to go on tours and buy timeshares. The taxis were in an "alley" which I wasn't too happy about, we used the first person who offered which was a pedi-cab it was well worth the $15 because you really couldn't walk to the Medano beach even though they say you can.

I didn't bring my good camera to the beach so sorry if the quality isn't too good on these:

Joey was happy they were selling Mango with chili powder, lime and salt. Then mango was really fresh

Christine - I'm guessing it's a lobster. Great pics!

We actually decided to skip formal night this time to help cut down on the packing since we are traveling so far and need to pack for more than 2 weeks. Going to try topsiders for the first time for dinner.

I thought it was a lobster too but wasn't sure.

It was great not having to worry about packing this time. I just though everything in my suitcase and didn't worry about how much it weighed...I was able to bring as many shoes as I wanted:cool1:

I really would have liked to try topsiders for dinner but Joey really enjoys the dinning rooms.

Good Evening!

Lots of pool time today. Christian had baseball game. He won 11 - 10. Good game. Last one is Wednesday.

Christine, those pictures are eerie. An empty deck at 5 p.m.!
How did you like the private room at Palos? You looked very lovely in your blue satin dress.

I'll say goodnight.

The private room was great much bigger than I thought it would be and the service was outstanding.

Christine - what was the deal with the hotel you hung out at in Cabo. Did you have to pay a cover charge? or just buy some drinks?

When we got there we were able to walk right to the pool and their private beach. We asked a few people how much it was to use the beach beds and pool. They told us they didn't charge and you didn't have to reserve as long as no one was using it it was ours. They did suggest that maybe we buy something from the bar, which we did. I ordered a drink and it was happy hour (at 11am :teeth: now this is my kind of place) so I got a free one too. We also ordered a steak sandwich, which was delicious. When they asked for our room number we told them we were from the cruise and they were OK with that. There are signs that say there is a fee for use of the property and that you could use is as credit for food and beverage but when we asked about that they said they didn't do it anymore. Disney charges $85 a person for use of the same beach and you only get chairs.

Great pictures Christine!! :woohoo:

We just got back from Lagoon Amusement park down in SLC! :faint:

Wasn't in the park 30 minutes and we lost Brayden. He took off and we couldn't find him.......20 minutes later I called security and they had found him and took him to "lost children"! (I'm buying one of those child harnesses before we go to WDW!!)

My feet, legs and back are so sore and can hardly stand up. :sad2:

I'm headed out to the hot tub to soak......I'll probably fall asleep and drowned! ::yes::

Good night!!

We're doing the dolphins in Cabo and I'd love to follow that up with some beach/pool time and this place looks great.

One more question - the deck party in Mazatlan - when was that/what time of the day? I'd like for us to be there for that.

Day 5 - Puerto Vallarta

We did the Canopy Tour (Zip Line) now Joey and I are not really the outdoorsy adventurous kind of people so this was really different for us but we had fun. I am glad I did it but don't think I will ever do it again.

The boat they used to take us to the truck (there were 14 of us on this:scared:):

The truck we took to the tour:

We weren't allowed to bring our cameras so I don't have too many pictures of the zip line. There is a photographer with you the whole time but by the time we were done the last thing I wanted to do was to pick out pictures.

Christine,
Great pictures, thanks for sharing!
I can see why kids thought the young lady was a princess, she looked it! Very beautiful young lady.

Suppose to hit in the 90's by the end of the week here.:faint:

Later,

kathy

It started at 4:30pm. I really was a cute party. They picked a bunch of kids to go up on stage. That was really the only thing different they did for this cruise oh and of course there was plenty of merchandise.

PS: they had a few things (pins, towels and ornaments) with the 10th anniversary on it but not much.

Welcome back Christine! Looks like you had fun! Thanks for sharing I'm enjoying the photos! Can't believe you've been on another cruise already!:furious:

Awesome pics. Thanks for sharing! We were in Cabo last year and we loved Cabo. Glad you had a great time.

Top of the page on the 2008 board... :woohoo: Kathy... can't I even get extra credit??

Day 5 con't - PV/Pirate Night

The PV port was very clean and pretty. It didn't have the typical people hounding you to take a tour or buy something just a few Gov't controlled taxis. There wasn't even a shop to buy souvenirs. However, there was a Wal Mart and Sam's Club right across the street:rotfl2:

I love pirate night. The whole ship got really into it. I didn't see as many full costums as in Nov but mostly everyone had something with pirates on it.

Sorry couldn't resist especially since I was able to drive to the ship. It was way to close to not go.

Christine,
Thanks for the trip report and the pictures. I can barely wait to go on our cruise in November! I think I'm having DCL withdrawal!!

Jeff - thanks for the information.

I have to look at the dates for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party. We'd like to go either before or after the cruise. I think it will end up being before because the last time we went on a Sunday, it was packed.

I hope everyone had a good day.

Gailyn

Christine: wow the pictures are awesome....thanks so much....now I am sooooo wanting to go on the cruise....how many more months do we have??? 5??? Ahhhhhhh:mad:
