Happy Monday   Quiet day here today. Tonight we have a dance meeting with DD. The girls are going to spend the night at grandmas tonight:thumbsup2 Have a good day!

Yeah top of the page! I wasn't even trying.:cool1:

Greg-Your condo looks really nice. You guys are right, it does look like the Wilderness Lodge.

Good Morning Everyone!

Christine, Was it spooky with the fog enveloping you like that?

Got some errands and few chores to take care of today. I'll be back to check on everyone and pictures later!

It was spooky especially since the decks were empty and it was only 5pm. I loved it I took a ton of pictures of the empty foggy ship.

An actual question relating to the cruise here!

Since my long term memory is now subject to a 24 hour cutoff, I can't remember what time we flew out of Orlando to come home after the cruise last year. I'm looking at times of Southwest nonstops and see that the best choice for us would be 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. Is that too early? I'd hate to have to do a stopover and might even consider staying a night somewhere to avoid that and come home Sunday. Anyone fly home that early before?
Did I fly home that early last year? :rotfl2:

Ok, for as sad as this is, I swear I remember you flew out around 2pm for some reason ...

AWESOME PICS! Thx for sharing. Weird that no one is on deck at all.

Great pics. It looks like a ghost ship! I can't believe no ones on deck or in the pool and it's 5pm, very creepy..... What a downer to have bad weather on a cruise.....

Well, another cruise question, we have a friend that would like to join us on the cruise. Any thoughts on where to check for rates besides Dreams Unlimited and All Seasons Travel??

Also, does anyone remember how long it takes to get from WDW to the Port? On our previous cruises we arrived at 9:30ish and waited until they let us in the terminal. Are they still doing the group boarding process where you get a number when you arrive??

Have a great Monday!
:)

Jeff,
Thanks for letting me know about Southwest. I just went back and read the pages from yesterday.

I'll post if I see any good rates.

Thanks again,
Gailyn

just sent you a PM with a great referral - a TA that many of us are using or have transferred our reservation to.

Jeff:

If my memory serves me correctly...in 06 we took a flight out around 3pm..it was a direct flight.
I also when booking noticed a 11:45 direct flight...the next direct being somethiing like 8pm....so we just booked a flight with a layover in atlanta...I believe our flight is leaving around 1-1:30is this time.
We didnt do the 11:45 as I didnt want to feel rushed or if something happened we missed the flight.

Hi Gailyn,

WDW to the port about 1 hour and 15 minutes if no accidents and you go in the morning, afternoon traffic add another 30 minutes.
They open the terminal at 10:00 but last time wouldnt check anyone in until 10:30 and we started boarding about 11:45.
we did get a boarding pass number when we checked in, not as we got on the escalator like before.
we were the 3rd person to check in last time we went and had #3 for boarding.

Other than the places you mentioned, not sure where else to look for bargains.

Wow, it has been really quiet today. I have spent the day unpacking:crazy2: As much as I love to pack, I really really really hate to unpack but I know if I didn't do it today everything would probably still be in my suitcases in Nov.

Here are a bunch of pictures from the first day:

Once you check in you could go outside and get really close to the ship (and also buy lotto tickets:thumbsup2):

Formal Night
DSC00880.jpg

My friend's daughter had the best night of her life. She wore her prom dress which pretty much makes her look like Cinderella. A few little girls asked if she was a princess and some even wanted their picture taken with her, Rico was more than happy to take his picture with her too, A man walked up to her and told her she won for best dressed and when we walking into Lumiers everyone clapped and she was escorted to her table. It was really fun to watch.

Christine - I'm guessing it's a lobster. Great pics!

We actually decided to skip formal night this time to help cut down on the packing since we are traveling so far and need to pack for more than 2 weeks. Going to try topsiders for the first time for dinner.

Good Evening!

Lots of pool time today. Christian had baseball game. He won 11 - 10. Good game. Last one is Wednesday.

Christine, those pictures are eerie. An empty deck at 5 p.m.!
How did you like the private room at Palos? You looked very lovely in your blue satin dress.

I'll say goodnight.
