11-29-08 Nana Heads 3:Tiara Bob & The Dreamboats reunion Cruise CONTINUED THREAD #3!

We will be joining you on November 29th! It will be me, DH Greg(44),
DD Nicole (11), and DS Matt (9). Notice how I smoothly left out my age LOL!
We've had this cruise booked for some time, but weren't sure we were going. We recently bought a new house, sold our old house and moved my DM in with us so it's been a little crazy.

This will be our third DCL sailing. We did the Eastern Magic, the Western Magic with Costa Maya and then this trip coming up. We loved our previous trips and enjoyed getting to know fellow cruisers on the Dis.

I know our DD is hesitant about going on this cruise since none of her previous cruise buddies joining us. So, if there are any other girls that are looking for a pen pal let me know. Matt is much easier but I know he really enjoyed emailing cruise buddies before our previous trips.

You kinda threw me when I first started reading your post because my name is Greg and I have a DD named Nicole also!

At first I thought it was a quote from one of my posts, but I couldn't remember posting it?!

Anywho.....My name is Greg and will be traveling with my wife Janel, DS Chayce (13), DD Nicole (almost 8), DS Brayden (4) & DD Holly (almost 2).....these are the ages our kids will be at cruise time. (both DD's have birthdays in December)

We've never sailed on DCL before and the cruise is a Christmas surprise for our kids (they know nothing about it!) We're going to spend a week at WDW after the cruise also. (another place we've never been!)

We're from Idaho......what can I say?.......we don't get out much?!

Yep, this should be and interesting experience! I've never been in a group thats had 4 Greg's before?

We still have better then 5 months before we cruise we might end up with even more Greg's?!

Welcome! I have a DD who will be 10 on the cruise. So depending on how the kids clubs have the kids split, they may be in the same group. Her name is Elizabeth and she may actually want to move up to the next group if they keep the current test age groups of 8-10 and 11-13.

Welcome Gailyn and family, I'm Wendy and will be traveling with my DH Mike who is 45(notice we all leave our ages out ) we have a DS who is 14 but he won't be cruising with us this year, we are having some much needed grownup time with our nana family, we sailed with these folks in 06 and can't wait til November.

I hope that everyone is having a great week. Now that we are at the midpoint, it is looking good!

Okay, one of those overly personal moment here: I need to ask for prayers right now. Some of you know that Lisa and I had temporary custody of her great-niece (Breeonna) last year due to some family issues. Well, she wanted to come down and stay with us during the summer, so we drove to Indiana and picked her up almost 2 weeks ago. Even though Bree has left a message, and Lisa has left multiple messages, Bree's mom has not even tried to call and check on the well being of her daughter. I call Lisa at least twice a day when I go out of town, so this is beyond understaning to me.

So, last night Lisa and Bree spent a lot of time talking, and now the child is afraid that, in her words, "if my mom keeps acting like this, they (the state) will take me away from her and I will never see her again." This is a 10 year old child having to deal with this issue. I know, this is probably more information than you needed to know, but please keep us in your prayers as we deal with this issue.

Sorry to get so personal here, I just needed to vent a little bit.

Good Morning All:

Bob OMG We deal with juvenile cases where I work and its just heartbreaking how much these kids have to deal with at such a young age. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Gailyn. We are so glad to have you in the bunch. I (Tonya) will be traveling with DH Trey and DS Hunter who will be 12 at the time of cruising. This will be our 5th cruise and 3rd with this bunch of hooligans.

All is well here in Springfield, wish it was a little less humid but it could be worse I could be in Dallas. Oh thats right will be there in 2 weeks, oh the humanity.

Love ya all, I have to work so I can pay for this darn cruise.

I'm the other half of "Mutt and Woo", and I'm 1 month and 10 days younger than Wendy (disneediva) and BUNCHES younger that Bob (tiggerking). And ... if I remember correctly ... you almost joined us last year (my memory is not the only thing that is like an elephant's )!

favoite tv comedy moment: Well that is hard because I love Seinfeld and they are all funny! I just recently watched the Kenny Rogers Chicken episode and that was good also the made up holiday festivus(SP?) episode John and I joke about that one!

Movie-I like the old Airplane movies. They always make me laugh.

Jeff i just found this on themain board about the changes:

At this time it is only a trial for the summer 7nt cruises on the Magic
They are trying it out to see how it will work and what the feed back is

To my knowledge they haven't started this on the Wonder as they do not have an Ocean Quest on that ship

As of right now the ages on the Wonder are what they show on the Disney cruise line website
3-5
5-7
8-12 in the lab
13-17 in the stack

If they leave it like this Jordyn, Madison, Elizabeth and Stacey would all be together. I am sure that would be alot of fun for them.
