Hi everyone, great day here. We started our first garden. Now if one plant acturally makes it I will be thrilled.

I am get Lasik on my eyes next thrusday and I m scared to death. The wonderful people are giving me valium to take once there. Anyone here ever done it or know anyone that can share stories?:scared: :scared: :scared:

Valium or Lasik:rotfl: I can't do lasik due to an annoying problem in my cornea BUT I did have a procedure done where they did NOT give me valium but stuck a needle in my eye to fix the corneal problem. Honestly. It sounds worse than it was. It was a little freaky at first but there was no pain or anything. I imagine that with Lasik you won't even know you are having it!

So I've been obsessing about trying to book our flights for our summer trip out west and found decent fares but horrible times/connections. Finally yesterday there was something we thought might work (even though the connection in Cincinnati of only 45 minutes scared us a bit) so after sleeping on it I decided to book it today. Of course the price went up - and by up I mean by 50 percent - from 265 to 390. What I didn't see yesterday was Delta's earnings announcement which was awful and attributed to fuel prices and noting that they would "have to" raise prices. So today. there you go. Now I don't know whether to book or hope for a Southwest fare. I'm leaning toward booking so I don't have to go through this again. Oy.

I get a few minutes and where are all my bananahead friends? That's it. A new soap opera "All my Bananaheads" starring all your favorites...

I guess I'll just talk to myself for a bit.

Hi Jeff. We knew you were a little questionable, but now your talking to yourself? :confused3 j/k we love ya.

Hey Jeff:

If you're flying Delta....today is not a good day to buy airfare.

Delta does this every other week. Their prices go way up then they come back down.

A 50% price increase will never hold unless all the other airlines follow suite (which has about as much chance as a snow cone in hell!) :rotfl2:

I'd hold out and just keep checking the prices. I'll bet it comes back down! :thumbsup2 (it usually takes 3-7 days for their prices to readjust)

Realistically $265 seems a bit high to me? :confused3
Where are you flying out of and to where are you going......LA?

I bought airfare a few weeks ago for my family of 6 round trip from here in Idaho to Orlando and it only cost me about $110 per person on Delta! :woohoo: :woohoo: (thus the reason for their awful earnings report!!) :lmao:

Hi Marie!!

Long time no see? Where you been hiding? :confused3

My younger brother is an optometrist in Salt Lake City and does Lasik. He says its a really simple procedure and you shouldn't feel a thing! (personally, I'm will you.....since I don't drink alcohol I'd still take the valium) :lmao:
:rotfl:

Marie,
Greg wants to have lasik too. we know lots of people who have had this done and all of them said it is fast and painless and so worth it!!
It will be just fine. They said it takes longer to prep you than to do the surgery.:thumbsup2

we're flying from Pittsburgh into OC - believe it or not up until the recent price increase it was cheaper to fly into John Wayne than into LAX. And I despise LAX and will avoid it at all cost even if it does cost more than SNA>

See what you think of this http://www.springfields.com/sgb_files/sgboardman.html It's right on 224 and 680

Shell - we have a Springfield Grille closeby here but have only been there once so that would be good. Boardman is easy for me to get to, isn't it? It's been a long time since I had to go to Ytown on a regular basis but I'm remembering that as "easy" compared to where we went last time, right?

Why don't you just fly into Vegas and maybe have some pizza:rolleyes1 and then drive to the port. Might actually be cheaper:confused3

:cool1: Not a bad idea actually except that we have 3 days booked at the Grand Californian before the cruise and if I interfere with that, I think Elizabeth will be one unhappy camper!

You folks could come to DL and meet us ! If you are looking for some real fun, spend a weekend in Disneyland with two excited kids! :rotfl:

Hi everyone.

Jeff, its easy to get to. I used to do the run from 224 to Pittsburgh when I went to school there. And I think The Springfield Inn and Grille are linked. There are two or three restaurants in the small chain.

Hey Bill
Uh...check the website - it's actually called the Springfield Grille in Boardman too! :rolleyes1

Yes, it's much easier because it's literally right off 680 and a block or 2 down.

Dawn: great pictures.....I loved Expidition....wast that a neat ride.....
I'm surprised the boys enjoyed the princesses....

better go before I get axed

The dinner was awesome and we were over by the window so the princesses really didn't bother us!

Sory I have been missing. I have been doing alot with this garden that I didnt want. well it sall dont now so we will see.

I have heard nothing but great things about the lasik. The money could of taken me on 2 more Disney cruises though so that was a big decision. But in Nov I will hopefully be glasses free adn get to wear sunglasses for the first time in 20 years. I cant wait. I hated to take my glases off for every picture.
