Good thing I decided against Maui?.....20 hours to get their!! :scared1: :scared:

Well I'm off to the drug store. I've got 3 sicks kids, two were feeling well enough to go to school today, but Holly is still running a fever. :sad2:

I'll check in later.....

Hi everyone...my family is currently booked on a May 2009 Magic cruise, but I am anxious and don't know if I can wait! :goodvibes

Anyhow, I was looking at this week as an alternative. Have any of you cruised during this week before and during May? Can you give me a comparison of the crowds, weather, and overall cruise experience and how they differ at these times of the year? I would only realize a small savings if I switch to November, so I am not looking at this in terms of cost.

Thanks!

It was great...we didnt do "disney" at all but we had a pretty full ship...weather was great never sailed in may....I'm sure that one of the other people here could give you better info. We have a few that have a done a few cruises at different times of the year.

Afternoon to everyone.

Yes yard work for me again tonite. I have to finish pulling weeds and laying down some mulch before our open house on sunday. I went in yesterday and my hands and arms were killing me. I still have a lot to do.

Most of us cruised the same week last year. The ship was sold out but never felt too crowded. The weather was perfect. The ship was rocking a little (8'-13' waves) but that was just the first two days. We are great group of people and I think you would have a lot of fun sailing with the Nana's      Sorry have only been on the cruise in November so have no comparison to any other time of year.

I have sailed in July before, Kathy is the one to ask, she goes at all times of the year.

The July cruise was really hot when we were still in Florida. Rained during the sail-away party, but it was still a great cruise. Wouldn't have traded it for the world.

November, its always perfect. It might be a little chilly while still in the states, but OMgosh once you get on the wide open ocean, its BEAUTIFUL. Plus all my friends go in November, wouldn't miss that because they would talk about me. :lmao:

I've cruised one time during spring break--very crowded (of course) but the weather was great--cold at night. This last November, I thought the weather was perfect. We were out at night and you could wear a light sweater but that was all. I think it just depends. You would definitely enjoy our group--we have LOTS of fun!

Christine, Remember the morning of Castaway Cay, Friday, everyone woke up because we didn't feel the boat moving! :rotfl:

Well, I'll try to check in when I get back tonight. If not, I'll chat with ya tomorrow! :yay:

Do you think that just because you are on the ship, we won't talk about you?:hyper2: ;)

Itutorfortravel:

May and November would both be great.
Weather will be about the same for either time, maybe a little hotter in May but only because of the humidity that starts in about that time of the year.

I prefer November to may because I hate the humidity.

You should think about joining us, many of us have crusied together before so we have a few fun traditions we do on the cruise that others dont.we have a AWESOME meet the first day on the ship, ladies have a ladie sonly meet one sea day for drinks and fun, even if you don't drink it is still fun, we try and get the men to do Karoake, we have our own group called Tiara Bob and the Dreamboats, all are welcome to join in,we also have a tag game during the week and gifts in fish extenders. we seem to add something each year.
We are the banaheads and proud of it, join us and have some fun!! We would love to have you join us:love:

Kathy

Planing something very fun as a grad gift for him but will have to wait till after we give it to him to tell you guys in case he "lurks" between now and then.

Lost fans>>>"MOVE THE ISLAND":confused3 .....Uh....any thoughts on that?? And what's with Clair?? She looked like the cat that ate the mouse or what ever that saying is......

Catch ya later..:flower3:

Another busy day today! Weatherman says we may hit the 80's this weekend!! (I'll believe it when I see it!) :rolleyes1

Later....

Itutorfortravel: We have sailed in January 1x March 1x and the rest were during November or early December. We love that time of year. Hope you can join us:banana:

Christine-Glad your sister finaly made it to Hawaii. What a trip!:scared1:
