Good Morning Everyone!

Lorna: Sorry to hear about your friend. I hate it when things like that happen!:(

Jeff: Tell Lizzie we said congratulations on how well she did!:thumbsup2

I hope that everyone has a wonderful Wednesday! Good gosh, where has this week gone already. I have too much to do for it to be Wed.!:confused3

I will check in later this afternoon or evening!

Good Morning, All!

I can't keep up with you all posting so much! I'm like 40 pages behind. Lorna, we've had camping trips like that - rain, cold, snow! leaking tents, people needing stitches, Oh yeah. Now, I only want to camp out at Wilderness LODGE! Glad you got home safe and sound.

Interested in the private boat. Are you planning to get one with a captain or is someone from the group going to ? Might pop off an email to Native way and see what they can do for us - if anything. Bruce was real pleased with them the last time we were down there. How many people are interested?

Linda, Christine had the ball on this one. When she gets back from her Mexican cruise--you might want to check with her! I'm sure she'd appreciate any help/input!

It's a fine morning in Kalamazoo MI--beautiful blue skies and sunshine.

Lorna, I was thinking of you this weekend! Alot of those storms that you got went around us! So sorry your friend got hurt.

Denise, Have a great trip! I see that you've decided that Jack needed the surgery.

Jeff, Tell Elizabeth congratulations on her swim meet! :thumbsup2

:dog2: I'm sure Duesy would like a playmate. Are you thinking of getting another so you both have one! Hide the remote!

Doing the usual stuff but add some pool time to the agenda! Christian has a game tonight. Only 2 more next week and that's it for baseball season :(

Have a great day!

Thanks for all the congrats for Lizzie. I am absolutely the proudest dad. She isn't the fastest kid but she sure swims with a lot of heart. When she came out of the water after that relay where she swam like a demon - the look on her face was priceless. It was a mix of pure joy, excitement and pride. Of course I didn't have a camera. And then when she came out after her individual event where she got off to a bad start, she came out laughing. Like "Oh darn I screwed up..i'll get em next time." As someone who never was good at anything sports wise, I can't believe how much fun it is to watch your child just love a sport so much and it just brings me so much happiness.

She is at a day camp today where they swim in the morning, do gym games (ie basketball, dodge ball, volleyball) in the late morning and tennis lessons in the afternoon. She also has swim team at 1 p.m. and today said she wanted me to pick her up for practice and she'd skip the afternoon activities because she loves swimming so much.

Hide the remote!
Good advice! :rotfl2: Thanks for thinking of that Dawn :lmao: . Well, we're supposed to meet Dexter tonight after work. We still have our reservations ... do I dare post a pic?

Lorna: gee sorry your camping trip wasnt that good. We had good weather all weekend.....where did you guys camp at?

Well getting ready for bed......and my last day of work.....

I have to take Jack for his pre-op labs on Thrusday morning before I leave...

Denise-We were camping about an hour north of Traverse City in Mancelona. Johns friend has a cabin there. It is really pretty there.

Have a great time on your trip and good luck at the vet with Jack.

I hope you send the sun our way:) It is still cloudy and cool here. Hoping the weather warms up soon.

I noticed you guys did not get too many storms this weekend. We got quite a few up north. The one night the rain was so loud on the camper it was hard to sleep:headache: I am hoping John and Jordyn are having better weather. They are over near Silver Lake sand dunes.

Well I think I am finally caught up.

Welcome to all the new families!  :cool1: I am Lorna. I am traveling with DH John and 2 DD ages 9 and 12. We are also traveling with our friends who have 2 boys. I think ages 8 and 9.

Gailyn-I think we may do the dolphin encounter in Cozumel at Chankanauab Park.

Bob the web site is looking good! Thanks for doing that:)

Thanks to everyone who has been posting pictures.

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Hi Lorna :wave2:

A picture means a committment ... :scared:

I'd like to hear more about the Rays, Reef and Rum Pointe excursion on GC. We really liked the stingray excursion on our last trip, but it would be nice to add some additional beach and boat time!

We did the Rays, Reef & Rum Point excursion twice last year, and it was great! We stopped for swimming with the stingrays, snorkeled once (two stops in Dec.!), and then they take you to RP for lunch and an hour or so break. The guides have always been great, and they have a photographer onboard with you. I think we have bought the photo cd each time for $60 for our group of 3 families, with all pix on it. They even stopped when the kids saw starfish in the water, so the Captain hopped out and got a starfish for each child to hold. And, they were fantastic with the children, especially if they were afraid of the rays. During the Dec. cruise, on our second snorkel stop, the guide even caught a huge eel! You should have seen me trying to get out of that area! :lmao: Overall, I highly recommend NativeWay. We definitely plan to do it again this trip. We love all aspects of the excursion, even just relaxing during the boat ride!

Today is a baaaad day. A State Trooper was shot & killed last night, during a routine traffic stop. He was only 24, and leaves behind a wife, and a 17 day old preemie baby. We're just devastated. My dh is a Trooper in a county away from where this happened. We live in a very small area, and within the last 5 years, this is the 3rd Trooper death we've had in that one county! Actually, I can't even think of any other deaths anywhere. Seems like my dh maybe said there have been 5 in the last 10 years, and 3 of them in that county. Sorry to ramble on...just trying to get through the day.

Hope everyone has a fantastic day!

I was trying to figure out something on our itinerary, and I have a question. Below is the itinerary that comes up for our cruise:

Sunday Key West 11:30 a.m. 7:30 p.m.
Monday At Sea — —
Tuesday Grand Cayman 7:30 a.m. 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday Cozumel 9:30 a.m. 6:30 p.m.
Thursday At Sea — —
Friday Castaway Cay 9:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m.

At one point, didn't the itinerary say we were staying in Cozumel until like 10pm? I swear I remember that ...

Shell- the last time we went on a western we had the same thing happen. Actually happened with both Key West and Cozumel. They both had late departure time and then when we got on the ship, it had changed. We left Key West at Sunset so you really had to be back on the ship which was a bit of a bummer because it is so fun to be on the pier. And then Cozumel we started out saying we were there until 9:30 p.m. and we left at 7. I don't know why/how that happens. It almost seems to be random because I have read trip reports of folks who have stayed in Key West much later.

Morning all,

last time we were at Key West we stayed until 11:00 P.M. Plenty of time for the sunset party at the pier.

Shell,
you are committed now, post the picture:thumbsup2
With a name like Dexter the poor baby already has one stirke against him, :lmao: :lmao: He needs a good mommy and daddy.
So just go and get him for goodess sakes!!!

Quiet and cool here this morning.

Kathy

I forgot to tell you guys what Pixie learned to do on our trip to the beach last saturday.

All of a sudden we heard wind blowing and the back window was open. I told Greg he must have bumped the button on the main control panel on the drivers door. he didnt remember doing it, but rolled it back up.

30 seconds later, we heard wind whooshing into the truck again and the window was down and Pixie was laying there looking very innocent.

so again Greg rolled it up and used the child safety lock to lock it with.

Then i peeked into the back and watched as she bumped her chin on the button over and over again, each time looking up at the window to see if it opened.:lmao:

It only took one accident of her bumping it for her to catch on.
Pretty smart;)

she takes after her mommy:goodvibes

Now we have to leave the back windows locked when the dogs are along.

Kathy

Oh thanks a whole hell of a lot Kathy :duck:
