Good afternoon-We could use some prayers now too. Just got a call that my FIL was being taken to the ER. John is on his way to the hospital now. We are worried because he has been having on and off stomach and groin problems for over 2 months now. Hopefully they can figure out what is wrong. TTYL

You know, I got to thinking about something based on the "infamous" thread on the main board about Thread Meets, and it actually prompted a good idea (I have those occaisionally!).

I would like your feedback on developing a web site for the Nana Heads. I have checked with GoDaddy and the NanaHeads.com domain name is available (imagine that). I would be willing to incur the expense of registering the domain and paying for the hosting (of course donations would ALWAYS be readily accepted), and even do initial development. For those who have experience with web site development, I would welcome your assistance on that matter as well.

So, here are some of my ideas of what could be posted there:

* Pictures (both cruise related and non-cruise related.
* Prayer Requests (if you don't want to participate, that is not an issue, but it would allow for a central location for all requests for prayers and pixie dust).
* General cruise information -- We could do a password level access to things like Shell's cruise directory for each year.
* Description of cruise plans/excursions (you could see who is going when and where)
* Vacation plans (is there a Nana near your get-away?)
* T-shirt information, WHEN it becomes available (sorry, Bill, had to poke)

Those are just some of the thoughts, but by no means a total listing. Let me know your thoughts on this idea. I think it would be a good central repository for information, but not another bulletin board. It could grown into a hundred different things, but this would be a start.

Jeff - how was P&P night? did you say and I missed it?

Hey Pat! P&P was nice. We had gone to the MK the night before for hours (including extra magic hours until nearly 1 a.m.) so by the time we got halfway through the P&P party, I was a bit "parked out." The girls had fun getting the beads and jewels. We walked on to rides like Big Thunder and Splash Mountain but waited way too long for Space Mt. The only downer was that it was nearly impossible to find princesses and so Emily didn't get to do any visiting. Jasmine left just before she got to the front of the line (replaced by Aladdin/no interest), and the line for Ariel was insane - she waited like a trooper for about 30 minutes before finally giving up. One family had something like 8 kids and they didn't have them wait in line but a parent waited and then pulled them in one at a time to visit with Ariel - that obviously took forever. The parade was really good and we got to see the Castle show too. Fireworks were going off over my head while on Big Thunder. We made it until about 11 p.m. before pooping out.

And yes you are right, not just flying to see your friends, but your friends driivng 1 1/2 hours to WDW everytime we fly there!

Bob - it's a great idea. One of the people on the thread for my Aug. 09 Tortola cruise has started a website. It hasn't gotten a lot of action yet but that cruise is more than a year away. I'd be willing to donate to the cause (money wise and content wise since I know nothing about web development).

Is there anyone on this thread who is from the Magic's Western Inaugural or the 10 day Magic hurricane cruise in 2004? C'mon I need an ally. Just kidding. I know how it is when you get carried away because you know each other, it happens...We've had people come on our thread and actually leave, sad isn't it because they thought we knew each other, but has everyone on this thread cruised together or are there more people like me, who will be sailing with you Monkeys for the first time?

OK so I am in panic mode now, I leave in a week and 2 days and have nothing done. I tried to get Austin's things done today but that didn't work out. Tommorrow I am off but we are going for pre cruise haircuts, then Friday is Sex and the City movie day. I work Sat and Sun. Monday I need to go to Mississippi to see my grandma who is not doing well before we leave, Tuesday is mani pedi day with my sister. Work Wednes and Thurs. Spend Friday with Mike so he won't feel so neglicated while I am gone(thanks in advance Woo ) and I leave Saturday.. ohhhh Christine I could use some help here

Of course you are invited...as long as you cruise with us in November

I was not on either of those cruises...where they fun?

Some of us sailed this pasted Nov together and some of them sailed Nov 2006 together so not everyone has meet in person. Plus we do have a few that have never sailed together at all...GREG where are ya...but see we are all very friendly only Mutt bites, oh yeah and Kathy whips

Joanna: We get new people every year that no one has met yet. Greg (if he ever gets his butt back here and posts) is a "newbie" Nana Head this year. Also Danielle and Sherri, and a few more that haven't posted a lot but are still part of the group regardless. As we get closer to sail date, we'll get more and more people joining us ... happens every year.

The thing is, once you're a Nana Head, well, there's no getting out of it EVER (and God knows, some have tried ) !!!
