My DH has it on right now. You can also watch it from their web site.
Ok Greg it is on the Nasa channel I am watching it right now
It's too bad everyone on the board cannot be here to watch the launch!
I'd love to be there!!
I talked to my wife and we're going to plan another trip back to watch a launch before its retired.![]()
I waited to long for my ride on the Concorde.....I won't make the same mistake.![]()
so whats the deal Steve is it just delayed 40 minutes
There are only a few launches left and each one is that more special so there are lots of people here to watch. Lisarae and I have brought friends from out of town to the river to watch the launch.

The shuttle has built-in holds to test equipment and give some time in case something is not right. Some of the holds last a few minutes while some last 1/2 an hour. The last built in hold is at T-5 minutes. So, the countdown clock may be at T-20 minutes but it is really 40 minutes to launch. I hope that was not too confusing!

Not a dumb question at all. The shuttle is set to retire sometime around 2010-2011 (depending on congressional funding and President-Elect Obama's space manafest). The replacement is a rocket system which resembles the old Apollo rocket (single stack with a capsule on top). This new vehicle is called Constellation. It is the only way to get to the moon and Mars.OK I know this sounds dumb what are they replacing shuttle with another shuttle right?
Sounds like you have to be a rocket scientist to figure it out...sorry couldn't resist
Wow, I was just looking at prices for our cruise, they haven't gone up all the much and first and second seating is still available. Plus you can still pick your room. I have never seen it this empty this close. Nanas will for sure rule the ship![]()

Due to the bad economy they havnt been filling their ships or their theme parks like last year. Thats why the great deal for buying a 7 day and getting the 3 day for $99 and if you go on line there are lots of WDW specials too.
If things dont improve by next year expect lots more specials for both placesOur 14 day in 2010 isnt much more than some 7 day cruises accept for the airfare.
Uh-oh. There may be an issue which may delay launch.
