Good Morning everybody!
Sunday night, we stayed in Lumberton, NC, which is just north of the South Carolina border. The hotel was conveniently right next door to the Cracker Barrel, so you know that's where we ate. BOTH dinner and breakfast. My honey is a southerner wannabe at the table.
I95 though South Carolina and Georgia is the most boring stretch of road. Just traffic through a tunnel of trees. But there isn't really any other good way, so we just persevered. Even the satellite radio isn't as entertaining as it used to be, now that sirius has merged with xm and taken over part of their programming. We were back to dipping into the cds.
The best part of Monday was the temperature. We started out in all our layers at 27 degrees, and peeled at every stop - by Jax, it had gotten up to 70! Practically a heat wave! But, the pool still wasn't quite warm enough to get into to exercise. So, I spent an hour on the phone with the internet provider instead and come to find out, the issue was a bad cable here in the room. Grrrrrrrr. We had the engineer here twice. First to replace the phone, which had fallen apart when I tried to call the internet provider, then to test the cable.
We had supper with my cousin at the Texas Longhorn, and then transferred all the stuff we had brought down for them, from his mother's house. The gas mileage should improve now, lol. Today, we make the long trek to Gainesville and back to hand off our neighbor's stuff to them. I hear that's not going to be a fun ride, either. . . a long 90 miles each way, with two big speed trap towns in between. The B****s are going to have to watch it! We always push it just a wee tad, but apparently even 1 mph is too much in these towns.
Happy Tuesday!
