Evening everyone,

Denise, goodluck with the house. This is such a hard time to sell anything. But some do sell, we did sell one of our houses last year around this time.
Maybe some pixie dust will help.

So anyone watch our "wonderful" governor on tv today? Isnt he just a gem???? what a keeper!!!!:crazy2: He's very delusional!!!:thumbsup2 But then again, maybe Oprah would have made a good senator:confused3

Howdy, glad to have you long with us.
What is your first name? Mine is Kathy.

Its always great to have more people long with us. Lately we have had a few familes join us. I think the closer the cruise gets the more will join us.:cool1:

We have done several Eastern, they are my favorite Disney cruise! I love St. Johns. It is so beautiful there. We often skip St. Thomas and zip over to St. Johns.
Looking forward to getting to know you,:goodvibes

Kathy
My first name is Allison. We'll have my DH and our 9 yo DD. She just turned 9 on the last cruise. She said it was her best vacation EVER. And then she did add "even though I'm only 9" to the end of her sentence. She was cute.

The last night of the cruise at the "Til we Meet Again" event, she burst into tears at the end of it. She was crying so hard I couldn't figure out what was wrong. She finally got out "I don't want this to end." How can you not re-book??? Since we were booking with DVC points I had to wait until Saturday morning to do it. I called as soon as Member Services opened and got the next cruise.

We really loved the Eastern Cruise. We absolutely loved the sea days. In fact, we loved the sea days so much the DH was contemplating the repo cruise back from the Med. Unfortunately, we can't take DD out of school for so long. That's a little hard for me to justify. Oh well. Here's hoping that they take it through the Canal sometime when its easier for us to travel for that length of time.

Welcome Allison and family!

I'm Jeff and traveling with my DW and DDs 10 and 5. Looking forward to getting to know you over the next 10 months!

Hi Allison,

good to know your name.
I know just how your daughter feels:sad1: I get that feeling with a big lump in my gut everytime we leave the ship. The only cure is to have another cruise booked:thumbsup2
We would like to do the Panama canal too.
But for now we have our first long DCL cruise booked for 2010. It is a 14 day Transatlantic cruise. We dont have any kids still at home so going in September with low prices work great for us. The only downside is the airfare costs as much ad the cruise does:lmao:
Plus I hate to fly.

We are determined to do the Panama canal within the next 4 to 5 years, depending on the economy.
Of course we want to crusie on both the new ships when they come out too.
There are just too many great cruises and so little vacation time;)

Kathy

Hey Allison & Jeff!

We are going too! I have 2 daughters which will be 7 & 5 at the time of the cruise. Looking forward to getting to know you guys all better too!

Shelley

Good Morning Everyone!:wave2:

It's freezing out!!! It's been so cold latley...the only good thing is on cold days it's sunny and we don't have as much snow as we normally do this time of year!

Kathy I'm glad your feeling better:goodvibes

Hi Allison:wave: My name is Jaime, my DH is Glen and we have 2 dd's 5 & 7. We went on the Eastern cruise in 2007 with alot of people who post here and we are hoping to be on this cruise next year.

Hi Shelley:wave: Our girls were 3 & 5 when we went on our first cruise and because of there ages weren't in the same clubs onboard but this time they will be 5 & 7 and will be grouped together. I have a feeling it will make for a better cruise:thumbsup2 We had fun last time but our girls would have enjoyed themselves more with they were together.

It's been crazy here the last week. I am seriously considering becoming an associate of a Travel Company. It's something I always wanted to do. The company I would be associated with has a great travel network, has been in business for 15 years and they provide a great training program for all new associates. I would be self employed, based at home and would deal mostly over the internet and phone. We are just trying to figure out the financial side of things and will know more by weeks end.

Welcome Shelley! Our little ones will be in the same kids group together so we'll have to set up a meet at our DIS Board meet for the girls to get to know each other.

Jamie - do it. I would change careers to something travel focused in a minute if I didn't have so much vested in my PR biz.

I have a meeting later this week and really feel that I will.:thumbsup2

Oh - and Jamie - Emily will be in the 5-7 group this year too so they can have their own little nanahead crew. :rotfl2: Elizabeth, on the other hand, will be in Ocean Quest. :scared:

Hello All,
It looks like some of the recent posters have children that will be in the kids clubs with one of my daughters (they will be 8 and 3). It will be nice having some contacts before we get there.

Looks like we'll have quite a few little ones the same age! A little Nana crew sounds fun even though I'm not quite sure what that is yet. We talk about the cruise almost every day. When one of the girls asks to buy something, I remind them that we need to save our money for the Mickey Cruise....do you really need that? Then that starts a whole discussion on what is on the Mickey Cruise and what they will be doing, etc. I told them about the Pirate Night and they are very excited about getting all dressed up!

When our younger grandkids came along we had them make a count down chain for the cruise out of construction paper.
Maybe yourkids would like to do something like that to help pass the time.

we bought disney stickers and decorated like every 7th one so another week was gone and put something special when we started a new month, then the last week was speical decorated links.
The kids loved cutting the links then writing the numbers on each link, decorating all of them.
It took them a few days to do all that. Then I helped with the stapling (not gluing) of the links together and hanging it around their house.

Then each morning when they got up, they would take turns removing one link. We also marked special family days like birthdays on the links.

That really helped to pass the time until the cruise.

Plus I bought them some Disney and tropical beach stickers so they each could design a door sign on a magnetic sheet for the cabin door.
They changed their minds a zillion times before deciding how they wanted to put the stickers on:lmao: But they had fun and again it helped with the excitement of the cruise.

Maybe your kids would like to do that too??

Kathy

This was such a quiet day around here today??:confused3

I had internet problems all day.

Hope more of you will post tomorrow,

Good night everyone,

Kathy

As I sit here and watch a combination rain/snow/ice storm move through all I want to do is be sitting on my verandah watching Grand Cayman or Cozumel or St. Maarten or St. Thomas or Castaway Cay come into view.

Morning all,:wave2:

No snow here just rain after they said NO rain today, oh well I never believe the weatherman anyway:rotfl2:

I am nursing a sore pup today.

Last night for their last potty break, after dark the pups decided to play a bit next to the RV before coming in which they often do. They were running full blast side by side, then Minnie turned her back half just a bit and her back leg and hip slammed into a concrete block that the electrical transformer sits on.

She stopped, sat down, then walked slowly to the door to come in. You could tell she was in a lot of pain. No breaks or blood, just bruising on her leg and hip. Today she was doing better but you can tell she is sore.:sad1:

She just isnt her usual spunky self today.

Not much else happening here today,

Kathy
