Hows everyones weather!!

First time in three days that I was able to leave the house!

We got over a foot of snow the in the past 48 hours.....most of the drifts are taller then I am!!

We haven't gotten this much snow in probably 20 years!!

My parents and siblings had to park their pickups in town at the church and I had to ferry them to my house by snowmachine yesterday!!

We have never cruised RCCL but have been on Carnival. Some of the cruise shows on the Travel Channal with Samantha Brown have RCCL and they look really nice. That ship looks HUGE!!!!!!

Ya, am really excited to cruise on the Oasis. I think the Disney Magic had like 11 decks and the Oasis has 18....so that should give some kinda indication on how much bigger it is then the Magic!

How did you like Carnival and what ship were you on?

I went on the Ecstasy with some friends, back in my bachelor days. Then Staci and I went on the Fantasy about a year after we were married, that has been about 12 years ago. Both were a lot of fun. Big difference in atmosphere from Disney though.

So what is the 10 day forecast in NC? That is where I am going as soon as my youngest is done with HS

NC has the seasons but it isn't as extreme as New York

It actually got up into the 50s today. It was pretty mild. I think it is suppose to be the same for the next several days. We do have all 4 seasons, although we use to get a lot more snow than we do now. We live near the foothills of the mountains here. About 30-40 minutes north of Charlotte. I hope we get at least one or two good snows here this year. It has gotten where it is not uncommon to not get snow during the winter. The good thing about getting snow here is that everything closes down for a day or two and you get to enjoy it. Staci is from Michigan and she says it it a lot nicer when you can enjoy the snow, instead of it staying around all winter. She says up there she remembers big piles of grey, dirty snow that hung aroung all winter. We do get ice storms from time to time. Those are a pain!!!!! Brings down the power lines and that is a mess!!!!

Just wanted to say Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!!!!!!!

Mark and I will not be sailing with you next year on the Magic. We found a really good deal with NCL for the same week. We were able to book a penthouse room with a 500.00 on board credit for the same price as the Magic. It was impossible to turn down. We have 2 trips to disney next year and are planning an adventures by disney for 2010, so we figured we could skip the magic and not have a disney withdrawal.

OK but in all fairness to Carnival, that was a long time ago and things have changed and now it seems the 7 night and longer cruises on Carnival are more family oriented instead of the party ship atmosphere you get on shorter cruises.

Hi Brantley, it was so nice to see it snow for about 4 hours on Christmas!!
I loved it. Of course I was freezing, but it was worth it.

Glad you had a White Christmas Kathy!!!! I know you had been wishing for one!!!!!
