We don't have plows so it took me double the amount of time to get home. Oh yeah we don't have snow shovles either so it took me another hour to get up my driveway:sad2: It was very very bad last night.

PS: In-laws are on their way but have been delayed so who know when they will get here but a least I have 3 weeks to listen to the story told over and over again:headache:

:scared1: :sad2: :sad2: Yikes that looks like more snow then we got last night...Is it still bad there today? Everything must be a real mess.

We dodged one storm earlier this week but looks like we'll be getting our tonight with ice, sleet and snow thru tomorrow.

As far as Coki, every day gets better. First, she's a smart little bugger -- scary smart! Here is her diary:

Day 1 (Sunday): When I left my old house this morning, my name was Abby. Now these people keep saying "Coki, Coki, Coki", whatever that is! But I LOVE my new brother! We love each other and play all the time! We share food and water dishes, toys, no problems! This is COOL!

Day 2: OOPS! 6 accidents left around while those two people were at work (what are they're names?). Went for my first walk and boy, did I pull the woman down the street ... see what 25 lbs of torque can accomplish? The woman seems a little concerned that I am not going to fit in. HA! I'll show her!

Day 3: 50% improvement! Only 3 accidents while the people - Mom and Dad? - were at work. I like to chew on the Christmas Tree, but they have issues with it. So I chewed up Mom's pretty red "formal night" shoe with the pretty crystal dragon fly. Of course, she got all bent out of shape about that! WHATEVA! My 2nd walk went much more smoothly and I'm doing my best to learn COME. But honestly, I'd rather do my own thing.

Day 4: NO ACCIDENTS ALL DAY LONG! But I did learn how to open up the door to the trash can in the kitchen and pull it out during the night (that's when they look at each other and call me "Scary Smart"). So Daddy put a wooden spoon across the handles today before he left for work. I'll just have to find something else to get into :rolleyes1

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: This is great.

  Holy cow!!

Is that like a record for Vegas?? Have they ever gotten snow like that in recorded history??

Yes, we did make history since it also snowed on Monday. We did have a really bad storm on '79 so they don't know if we hit an "offical" record yesterday.

:scared1: :sad2: :sad2: Yikes that looks like more snow then we got last night...Is it still bad there today? Everything must be a real mess.

Not so bad today, just messy. That ugly grey slushy snow is everywhere. It's warming up so most of it will be melted by tonight.

Dawn! I see that you posted that you're going to Mt. Rushmore this summer ... Cool! My dad said that pictures just don't show how beautiful the scenery is out in the upper plains. Are you going out to Idaho too? That's a lot of time in the car!!!

Probably not Idaho but maybe Yellowstone. I see you have a new puppy! Lots of new love in the house!

Yep, puppy love and hyperactivity IN DA HOUSE!!!

Hi Dawn,

I'm in the middle of typing a lengthy letter to Disney, but its more to vent my frustration then anything.

I'm not really expecting anything back from Disney.

Chayce said the best time he had at Disney was while he was with you guys.

Greg, sorry you did not have a great time at WDW. I am glad you are complaining to them. I think too often, people just overlook it and it does not get reported up the chain. I hope they address what happened.

I know they say "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" but send some of that snow over here!!!!!:rotfl2:

It is rainy and in the 50's here again today.

Interesting. I'm really sad to hear this is happening to folks. Conversely, we have had the BEST service during our last two trips (May 2008 and just before the cruise). I had no complaints at all. Now DisneyLAND is another story completely. But especially just before the cruise, people were bending over backwards to help us, to entertain the kids, etc. It was really service like what we come to expect on DCL which I think is always a cut above WDW. Since we are heading back in less than 2 weeks, I can let you know how it goes for us then...

Jeff,

Did you stay DVC on both of your last 2 trips. I have been looking at DVC for a while and I keep seeing some posts on some of the boards about service and upkeep not beeing the same between DVC and regular stays. That has been one of my concerns. I would hate to get less service or a less kept room after joining DVC.

Since you have done both, how do you think they compare?

Just wanted to share

'Twas the night before Christmas, and far out at sea
Our vessel was sailing, as smooth as could be

The stockings were hung from the balcony chairs
With hope that St. Nicholas would find them out there

The children were nestled all snug in their uppers
Having just settled down from a Christmas Eve supper

And ma and myself, we were covered in aloe
A bit too much sun, in a pool, warm and shallow

When up in the sky, there arose such a clatter
I leapt from my bed to see what was the matter

To the sliding glass door, I flew like a flash
Well, more like a saunter, and less like a dash

And what to my skeptical eyes should appear
But a great shiny sleigh, and eight flying reindeer

They circled our ship, from starboard to port
As the moon lit the driver, a jolly old sort

Who called to his team, in a happy retort
"Now Dasher, now Dancer," so on and so forth

We raced through our cabin and into the hall
To the very top deck, in time for us all

To be awed by the sight of Old Santa's sleigh
As he lightly touched down, by the midnight buffet

With a bundle of goodies thrown over his back
He rose in the air and dropped down the smokestack

Santa went straight to work, and later we learned
He found every child's cabin, from the bow to the stern

Insides and oceanviews, balconies and suites
Santa filled every stocking, with toys and with treats

Until all his deliveries had been handled with care
Then he noted he still had a minute to spare

So he surfed the wave rider, with nary a fall
While Dasher and Dancer scaled the rock-climbing wall

And Prancer, who had always been fond of the cold
Tried the ice-skating rink, a sight to behold

And then with a whistle, Santa summoned his team
And he bade us farewell, silent nights and sweet dreams

And I heard him exclaim, as he flew out of view
Merry Christmas to all, and to all, a good cruise.

Last 2were not DVc. But I have had much better experiences overall at dvc. However with dvc you don't get daily maid service unless u pay xtra. Don't like that part but we usually pay for at least a couple days of service. Wonder if that is what the complaints are all about.
