Jeff...Great pics! :thumbsup2 What is artist of the day? Did Elizabeth draw those pictures?

Greg-LA...:wave2:

She colored the one in the middle. Just something fun they do for the kids at BCV. They choose a few to display every day.

Hi Greg-LA. As you can see I finally downloaded all my pictures. I am making a CD of your parasailing photos today and mailing it to you.

Good saturday to everyone,

we slept in a bit today. I am still not feeling real great but I do feel better than yesterday. Still have a headache.
may get snow tomorrow sometime, shouldnt be much but next week we are going to be back into the 20's at night. Way too cold for me!!

Is it spring yet? I wanna go home;)

We have been looking a buying a second home in Florida while they are so cheap. But then we need to think do we keep renting our home and move into the new one or go back to our home and rent the new one we buy?
Oh well, we will keep looking and then decide what we want to do.
There are some great buys right now, so hard to pass up.

will check back later.

Hope to see some more posts when I get back:thumbsup2

I was just saying to Mina that maybe we ought to be buying our retirement home in Florida now while the market is so down...

We figure to keep at least one of the houses rented at all times, then sell in 10 or 15 years when the market is good again for retirement money.
We would like to keep 3 houses if we can. One to live in and 2 to sell later when the market is better.
The one we live in we will keep for retirement.
we would like to be in Florida in the winter and Oregon in the summer. In Oregon we can stay in the RV, only we will buy a new, nicer one for retirement.

If you buy a retirement home now while prices are good, you can keep it rented probably for the entire payment you will make, unless you want a great big place. We want a small 3 bedroom for retirement with a large garage.

But now really is the time to buy. We have seen homes, brand new for 100,000 that sold 2 years ago for triple that. Homes that are 5 years old on big lots for $65 to $80,000 right now in the area we like. Just way too many to choose from for us. Many are NOT foreclosure, but owners who will loose soon if they dont sell.
Payments would be so low we could easily rent for more than the payment on them. Rentals are doing great since people cant afford to buy right now. Just have to have good renters.

So giving it some serious thought would probably be a good idea. It will be awhile before things get better, so the bargains will be there for awhile.
No big hurry to buy, but keeping an eye out in case you see something you really like, then go for it:thumbsup2

There is a Bayberry just down the street from our place for $140,000 we are giving serious thought to. That would be so convenient. We have lived in 2 Bayberry's before. They are nice homes.

well good luck, i would give it some serious thought. Buy before things start getting better if you really want a florida retirement home.

Jeff,
I will ask Greg for some of the sites he goes too when he gets back. He is gone this evening.
I know once he learned to navigate the sites he finds some great deals.

I'll get back to you tomorrow with some sites:thumbsup2

This is sure a quiet day for the boards today. I hope that means people are out having a good time.
I have stayed in trying to shake this dumb bug. I think it is improving some, just not fast enough to siut me:lmao:

Now they are saying instead of snow we should get rain. So who knows what will happen tomorrow evening. I guess we will find out then the time comes.

Have a great evening everyone,

Kathy

Kathy

Hi there-Been a busy day here.:crazy2: My kids are already practicing for our Easter play at church. We are also trying to figure out what we are doing over spring break. We were thinking of Virginia Beach, but I don't think it will be warm enough yet. We want to take the camper. I think we will go another time. Now we are thinking of visiting my friend in Tennessee and spending a couple of days in Gatlinburg. Have a good night. :)

Good Sunday evening all:

Evening everyone,

Denise, goodluck with the house. This is such a hard time to sell anything. But some do sell, we did sell one of our houses last year around this time.
Maybe some pixie dust will help.

Howdy, glad to have you long with us.
What is your first name? Mine is Kathy.

Its always great to have more people long with us. Lately we have had a few familes join us. I think the closer the cruise gets the more will join us.:cool1:

We have done several Eastern, they are my favorite Disney cruise! I love St. Johns. It is so beautiful there. We often skip St. Thomas and zip over to St. Johns.
Looking forward to getting to know you,:goodvibes
