Make it stop! Make it stop! 5 to 12 inches again today of that blasted white stuff!

Good Morning! Heading out the door to do a few errands and then come and get snowed in again!

Have a great day!

I don't know about you, but we're snowed in!!

It dumped 8 inches of new snow Sunday night and then the winds kicked up to around 40mph yesterday!! Almost all the road are drifted in.....I can't even get out of my own driveway....yet!!

Once I get the snow blower started I'll get my driveway cleared, but then we'll have to wait for the plows to come by before we can go into town.

Janel almost didn't make it home from work yesterday. I told her to stop what she was doing and head for home or she wouldn't make it. The drifts were already 3-4 feet high! :scared1:

Dawn,
hope you dont loose power too. Keep warm and stay in.
No point in sliding all over the place on the ice and snow.
They say we may get mixed rain and snow showers tomorrow and Christmas but not much.
I was so close to my first white Christmas this year.
My family will have one, but not us.
Next year we should be back in sunny Florida, so this was my only real chance of it. Darn it!!

TOP FOR ME !!

Kathy - A question about the parks at WDW around Christmas. we'll be there from the 28th til Jan. 2. Will they be as crowded as Thanksgiving for the whole time or just on the holidays themselves (NY Eve and NY Day). We're expecting packed to the gills the whole time we are there and are planning to take it easy most days and do things both inside and outside the parks - enjoy the pool as it will be warm, hit the boardwalk, maybe downtown disney...do lots of Epcot World Showcase, etc.

Just wondering from the expert what we should expect!

Hi Jeff,

well if its like the past few years you will be like a sardine, packed in tight:lmao:

The economy may have some effect on the crowds, not sure.
But the normal crowds are the worst at Christmas and New Years when we have been. Worse than summer crowds.

Maybe you will luck out and the economy will slow it down some.
If your going to hit a park, I would just be there when it opens , run for fast passes and do what you can early, then go back and relax at the pools.
water parks are usually crowded in the afternoons too.

So if you go to them, again be there at opening. Run to the sldies first and save the main pool area and lazy river for the afternoon while the slides are lined up.
They start thinning out again around 3 p.m. because they close by dusk.

Have fun, wish I was there with you!!! I would love some warm weather and Disney magic about now!!

Kathy, glad you are feeling better. Sorry you will not get a white Christmas, looks like it will be clear here too.

I keep telling you to send some of that snow down here!!!! We will take it!!!! Usually snow is alot of fun here because it shuts everything down for a day or two and you get to enjoy it. Then it warms up and it goes away!!!

Staci is out finishing up our shopping today. The malls around here have been packed. The news says shopping is down, but it still looks like a lot of people are out shopping. I will still have to slip out at some point and get a few last minute gifts. Every year I am out on Christmas Eve getting something

Thanks Kathy. I figured that. I was just hoping that maybe the weekdays between the holidays (like Monday the 29th and Tuesday the 30th) we might luck out. Oh well. Crowds are fun too when the weather is warm and you are at disney.

Knock on wood we haven't lost power yet :cool1: Greg, I feel your pain! We were snowed in Friday and Saturday. Up to a sustained 40 mph wind--we had blizzard warnings along the lake shore. Kalamazoo is on the snowbelt and gets the same as the lake shore  Cleaned up Sunday. Got it again Sunday night into Monday morning. Should have did my errands yesterday afternoon. Now we are getting it again!

Jaime, Alexis also has a stocking!

Jeff, When I worked outside the home, we always went to Florida during Christmas break. I would expect it to be packed. Do the early morning and evening. Just leave midday and enjoy the other stuff! In fact, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day mornings I always found to be super slow. Everyone is looking to stay up late or have stayed up late!

Elizabeth would NOT even get close to Santa! She wanted me to sit with her beside Santa. Her picture is with her screaming at the top of her lungs--mouth wide open! That will be a memorable picture! We didn't expect for her to sit on his lap but she wouldn't even get in the picture without crying!
