Hi-
I tried to post this last night from my iphone but it didn't work! For some reason it logged me off before I could post it!

We ended up taking a quick trip to my parent's in NE Iowa. A good HS girlfriends mother passed away on friday. She had been fighting cancer for a couple of years. My poor friend had already lost her father so now has no parents left. I found out on Saturday and we ended up driving about 9 hours to and from.

So we missed the nice weather down here yesterday.
BUT... sounds like we're getting more today as it's supposed to be 50 and it's already 44!!

Melanie, Sorry to hear about your friends family. Does she have siblings or aunts/uncles? It would be tough not to have family.

3 days and counting! I wish I lived around there to take you out to lunch to celebrate. I'll take you out to eat on the cruise...

She has one brother she had another brother who also died of cancer. Her mother had lots of siblings but she was older so I think many have died. My friend does have her 2 children who are teenagers.

Thanks for the celebration!!! I wish we could do lunch too! That would be fun!

Welcome to the 2009 Nanahead cruise!! I am Melanie and I am currently booked for this cruise along with my husband Chris and sons Alex (4 1/2) and Jackson (20 months).

We cruised with the Nanas last November and had such a great time we rebooked for 2009. I'm hoping we will be keeping this booking as I just recently quit my job to stay home and work for my DH's photography business. But as of right now I'm still in!!!

Have your cruised many times before on other lines?

We spoke with some woman at the city who gives jobs to businesses owned by women and minorities...

mruhaak - I'll be on a Caribbean cruise on Adventure of the Seas out of San Juan with my 17-year-old son and 23-year-old daughter. It ends Easter Sunday, so we're flying to Orlando that afternoon and staying at WDW 1 night (gotta get my Off Kilter fix!), then home the next day.

Sounds great Nancy!! I've been on Voyager of the Seas which is a real similar ship! We loved it!
