Hi Scorpio07. Welcome to the November 09 Nanaboard! There are alot of cruisers on this cruise. Most are busy posting on the Nanahead 08 board. There are a few of us (as you can see) that are keeping the 09 board alive!

What's your name and family members? I'm Dawn and I travel with my two DGS Skylar and Christian who both will be 13 in 09!

Welcome!:cool1:
Yea! A new person!
I'm Melanie. I will be cruising with my DH Chris, and DS's Alex (4.5 now) and Jackson (21 months). We cruised with this November bunch last year (called the Nanaheads) and had a GREAT Time!

Welcome SCORPIO07. We are glad to have you on board. We apologize for not keeping up on this board (me WAY included) as we are gearing up for our 3rd cruise together this November. We are a bunch of nuts that call ourselves bananas.

Keep coming back, we promise to do better.

Thanks Dawn.

Hi everyone,
wefinally made it to Oregon. I need a couple days to destress and get thems organized for now then I will post a short trip report with photos .

I had a couple of adventures with photos to share.

No rain all the way from Florida to Oregon, just clear blue skies but windy and cold a lot fo places.

I missed you all, and HELLO to the new people. FYI I have been traveling by motorhome for 10 days now moving from Florida to Oregon so havnt been able to post. I will catch up in a few days and get back to posting more regular.

I need to walk a bit, my rear must be 10 inches wider from all the sitting:lmao:

It has been cold but sunny and is suppose to have some rain by friday.

Kathy

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I have a question for all the die hard DCL fans. This is going to be our first DCL cruise, and I am worried that to adults in our 30's will not have fun. We have been on Carnival and RCL, how does this compare, and do they have a variety of adult activities available?

Thanks

Scorpio07, I think this is a good question for Melanie. She (gulp) is around the late 30+s and she's been on the other cruise boats so she should be able to give you a great answer!

Good morning Scorpio and WELCOME

There are quite a few couples in their 30's going on this cruise. Some with kids, some without. I can give you the full money back Nana guarantee that if you hang with us you will have a blast!!!!! Like anything else. You're going to get out of it what you put in. Last year was our first cruise and I hooked up with the Nanaheads about 8 months out. I had the best time planning with them. We had so much fun on the cruise and my DS (10) made great friends which allowed for some free time for me.

You'll love it.

Scorpio07, I will agree with Kim. I live for this one week all year so I can hang out with friends. DCL is a blast and you can make it what you want. You can either stay busy or do nothing. We are so glad to have you on board.

Ummm.... yah... thanks for that Dawn... (Was that revenge for the boring comment?):lmao:

Scorpio,
While I would say that Carnival and RCCL has probably more variety for adults on their LARGER ships... there seems to be plenty of adult fun on Disney. And the comradere of the Nanaheads more than makes up for it! It's one thing to have lots of fun things to do and another to have no one fun to do them with! Plus if you are a kid at heart you will love the other stuff too... so it is a win win situation. The way the CM's treat you on Disney is far better than both my Carnival and RCCL experiences.

Another thing- I didn't get to hang out in the adult pool because I had little ones. BUT every time I went through there it seemed a lot less populated and more relaxed than the one on our RCCL cruise. Part of it,IMHO, was the location, a lot more seperated from the rest of the ship. Plus not as many adults cruising without kids so more room for those of you who are!
