Hello everyone I just booked this cruise. It will be me , my husband and my two sons 17 and 15. I am very excited. I just got back from the Mexican Riviera Cruise 6/29. I had an amazing time. This is going to be my second cruise. We are coming from California, so we will fly out on Friday, so we can be on the ship by 4pm. We are flying with Disney, so I guess we will be staying at the hotel at the airport. I think that I want to do something that night. We won't have a car... any suggestions? I can't believe that you guys already have more that 100 pages on this thread. We still have 499 days left. You are a fun bunch!!!!

I'm not really the one who should be welcoming you because I'm not going on this cruise in 09 (at least I don't think so?), but it looks like everyone else is asleep at the wheel!!

I just kinda hang out here from time to time and stir up trouble when possible!!

Your joining the Banana Heads and they have been cruising together for I think 3 years now?

We're going with them on this years cruise on 11/29/08 and I'll have to say this....I'm having so much fun with them already that I can't wait to meet them on the ship!!

Your going to have an amazing time, so just jump in and join the chat when ever you can.

The more you chat the more we get to know you and vise-versa!!

There are a huge bunch of bananheads there who are also going on this cruise but arnt posting here yet. This will be our 4th year in a row with a large group who call themselves bananaheads.


We are a lively fun group with a lot of real characters.
I am kathy, dh is Greg and this will be DCL # 18 for us.
4th with the bananaheads.

we were in Florida, but 4 months ago we moved back to oregon, so we are neighbors
However we are going back to Florida either this October or next May.

This group will have a meet the first day on the ship, usually around 2:30 in the Promenade lounge, I hope you can arrive sooner than 4 and join us.
we also do the fish extender exchange for those who want to.
also since it is Christmas season, those who want to do a gift exchange at the meet. It is 1 gift per family, $10 limit and it should be something that represents your home state. if you bring a gift, you will receive a gift. it is a random drawing to get them.
also we have a ladies only meet on a sea day if you want for some fun chit chat and plenty of tropical drinks for those who drink. I dont but it is fun to go and visit a bit.

When the 08 crusie is done we will make a cruise mates list for all of us and add to it as others join in the fun.
If people are interested about 8 months out we can link dining reservations with others on this thread so you wont be eating with strangers, although people will tell you we are strange

Just some things to think about.You posted at just the right time

You said something to do friday night at the airport?

well if your at the Hyatt, which is inside the airport they have a great pool. also OIA has lots of shops to look at. a nice food court. There are usually a few people from this thread that will be there too, so maybe when the time gets closer you can have a mini meet??

Oh we also have matching shirts each year. Mutt is a graphic artist and he designs a different one each year, really great. They are optional but we all like to wear them the first day to find each other in the terminal and for the meet and around the ship the first day. The design on the back changes yearly, but on the front is a banana with Mickey ears holding up either 1, 2, 3 or 4 fingers according to how many cruises with the bananaheads you have done.

we get tons of great comments when we all wear them.

Greg doesnt know it yet but he will be here in 09 too. Once he cruises he and his family will be hooked just like the rest of us.

I have to go to the bathroom several times a day but I dont use that as an excuse, even when Greg leaves the lid up and I fall in and get stuck with the suction for an hour.

Hello! Welcome Sophia37. I'm Dawn and I travel with my two grandsons Skylar and Christian. I'm also on the 08 cruise! All of us are kindda jumping between the two threads. This one is still kindda small and personable compared to the 08. It is already hopping at about 10 - 20 pages a day!

Elizabeth is here for a while. She and her parents leave for Mexico on Saturday I tried to get Stephanie to leave her here with me but that isn't going to happen

I should be able to check in before bed.

The past two days have been hard...she has been having headaches and is very moody.

Just did a temp conversion and we are at 91.4f...

Wow that's a nice drive...have you found any 5th wheelers or trailers that you are interested in. Our friends bought a trailer last year...very roomy...the sides come which gives them alot of floor space...

Hopefully next week will have the quick solution to all those headaches. I dont blame her for being moody. I would be too.
My oldest at age 6 got a concission at school on the playground and we didnt know it and she had terrible headaches and a complete personality change until we got her to the doctor.

so have patience and she will be better soon. She has lots of people praying for her

Pixie stepped on a nettle plant and is in pain, not much I can do. try to make sure the needles are all out, soak on warm water to loosen any left in and ice pack for swelling and pain. My poor baby.

Hay yall, were back from a week of camping in Gods country. always'' spend a week or so at Haws creek falls evry summer. The ozarks are our favority place on earth. Hope yall dindt miss us too much. took me and ma couple hours to read as much as we could on this board to catch up. I think im gettin the hang of thus computur. My brothur Jasper and his family was able to join us on the camp trip that made for some real fishing, drinking anad lovin. Ma and i wondering if the Disney boat allow us to hustle our own grub any time we want we herd theres lots of goood eats.

Elmer, sorry you posted on the wrong thread. You need the 08 thread. Both are the bananahead cruises so it is easy to make a mistake.
