Hi Dawn,

Having a great time.

Very peaceful and quiet up here. The leafs on the trees are changing color and its really pretty.

The weather is upper 60's lower 70's....just perfect for me!

I think my kids are turning into fish....all they want to do is swim.

Do they have pruney fingers and toes when we got that way mom would make us come out for awhile so we wouldnt turn into raisins and we believed her

I have spent most of my morning today and yesterday doing the work that I think the Doctors office should be doing.

I have 3 items on a prescription that NOBODY can fill.
Even the hospital who gave me the items

I can find one item at one distributor,

then eventually I found 2 of the 3 at another place after 35 or 40 NO's

But the 3rd item is Lydacaine cream, not sure of the spelling. It numbs the skin and NOBODY can fill that order
One distributor said I could buy a box for $500 but he doesnt sell individual.

Dr. said they called local pharmacies and they dont have it?
Whats up with apharmacy not having soemthing so simple, cant they order things??
So I am the one who has been calling all over the state looking for a place to get it. NO luck.

But this morning I did find a nice lady who gave me the name of another numbing drug that any pharmacy should have. It should work just as well.
atleast that is what she says.

So now I have to start calling pharmacies to ask again if they carry it.
Then call the DR. with the fax number for them to fax the RX to each place for each item I need.
I know the Dr. office is busy but it seems to me the staff should be on top of trying to help fill the dr. RX for someone and this lady just keeps putting all the work on me.

My Irish temper is building up, THATS NOT GOOD!!!
I only get mad once every 3 or 4 years, so when I get mad it is not a pretty sight and you dont want to be the person or thing I am mad at.
I know I will reach that point very soon if this isnt resolved soon

I dont like to get mad, it never solves anything and I just dont feel good about acting mad at someone, but these people are really pushing my buttons today

So wish me luck, I am also trying to do laundry, walk the dogs, have lunch and I am suppose to call my mom this afternoon after putting her off for 2 days waiting for all these calls to come through.
Now it looks like I will have to cancel with her again today if they dont resolve something soon.


Plus my swollen feet hurt!!

Now I iwil take some pixie dust to help me out if its offered.

This reminds me of last friday but without all the physical pain, just frustrations


Ok, Now i feel better, I have vented,so will probably keep my temper a bit longer.
The next person I talk to should thank you guys for letting me vent. You saved his life or at least saved him from having a bad day when I got through with hiim

I wonder why nobody carries it? I'm sure that's what they used on Holly to numb her before they did her stitches!!

She did say that you have to be very careful about how much you apply because it can mess with your heart beat.

I will give 30 minutes though because most were at lunch.

To top it all off my computer just went bonkers on me and had a zillion pages loading up on it. I had to shut down and boot up all over again just now

Our aircard should be here today which will be great too.
This internet kicks you off about every 8 to 10 minutes all day long. It's not just us, others here have the same problem.
DD got us the card for $50 and $30 month which is less than the internet we have now and this is slow and doesnt work right most of the time.

YEAH!!! Hope its here today

She did say that you have to be very careful about how much you apply because it can mess with your heart beat.

Thanks for the warning, It doesnt take much, just some around where my feeding tube goes in to numb it. I will call walgreens. There is one in Salem about 15 miles from the Dr. office. I havnt tried them yet.
Thats an odd side effect to mess with your heart beat isnt it. Drugs can do strange things. Thank her for me, nobody has said anything about that to me.Although it is probably on the warning label which I havnt seen yet since I cant seem to get it filled so far

Its really great the kids all love the water. Some dont , they are afraid of it.

well we arnt going to hit 80 today as they said, Its only 62 out and its almost 1:30 here.

That said I went through the navigators today and made a lil (rather large) excel spreadsheet of all the things we wanna do if they are on that made me feel a bit better.

are you going to make door signs or a fish extender Or a count down chain?? Those are fun projects to plan and do while waiting for the cruise.

Ok, I called Walgreens in Salem and they have the lydacane cream.Thankyou Janel

so now I have 3 different places that each have one item i need.
One isnt too sure though about the syringes?

Now I go to call the doctor to tell them the 3 different places, 2 are out of state, One is New Jersey to tell them what I found.

Just happens a Apria rep was in the office today and he told her to let him check out his company office in Eugene, (45 minutes from us). He thinks he can get all 3 through them, he will know tomorrow, plus they have aprogram for people without insurance who need life sustaining medical supplies.

So I would get a discount on the products if they have them

But Apria Florida is where my food supplies comes from and I am now wondering if its the same company, if I can get a discount on my $400. a month other medical supplies??

I have tried to find a program to help with being uninsured for life sustaining supplies but no luck. so we just paid the bill. So this may work out to be great for me.

Not getting my hopes too high until I hear back. But if it works that way, you can bet i will ask him about the rest of my stuff. I will be a bit miffed if they have a program and didnt bother to tell me about it all this time. But I wont complain. I will just be grateful for the program.

If he cant supply the items she will call Walgrens for the cream and the other suppliers for the rest of the stuff.

Maybe my headache will go away now

so I will be keeping my fingers crossed tonight.
