Hi

My BFF, her 5 yr old daughter (turning 6 on cruise), and myself will be going on our first cruise ever. Big Disney lover, so glad to finally be able to do a cruise. Just waiting impatiently for midnight to book my Palo reservations. Hope I'm able to get everything. PM'd about the FE's and meeting everyone on day 1. Now just waiting impatiently.:thumbsup2

Alright so I waited up and I got Palo brunch 11am key west day, which I`m ok with as no excursion planned for that day. Palo dinner 6pm on grand cayman night again no excursions. Booked the beach break in cozumel, and cabana massages 10 am on castaway cay. Nothing for high tea, which I really wanted. Do you think if I keep checking back something will come up, or when we get there I should just try to book something? And what does everyone think about the other things I have booked and the days and times.

Thanks for any input can't wait.
Erin

One perk of west coast, just made our reservations at 75 day point and did not have to stay up to midnight. Woo hoo! Got Palo dinner on night I wanted but brunch is Key West day - which could be fine assuming my kiddos take the clubs right away!! Keeping fingers crossed that my 3 yr old is fine (he'll have his 4.5 yr old sister there too) but never know! Also doing Dolphinaris on Cozumel with older girls (I LOVE dolphins)! And going to do 7 mile beach on our own on Gr Cayman. Also booked couples massage - will decide it we want to keep this.

Anyone know about cancellation policy in general?

Ok - now really on the count down. Surprising the kids so really hard to keep the secret since I am excited but want this to be the memory of a lifetime - we only get one first disney cruise!!

Stayed up last night to book our excursions, wanted a palo brunch but was showing no res, but did get glass bottom boat tour Key West, dolphin swim at dolphinaris, bottom fishing at castaway cay and alone time for me on a sea day! Willkeep checking on the brunch and hopefully something opens up!

Hi Erin
Palo brunch on Key West day is great. We did it like that last year. One piece of advice. The beach break on Coz - I've never done it but not sure which beach park they take you to. We normally go on our own to Paradise Beach and it is great!!!!! Kids don't want to ever do anything else. This is our third western cruise and we are heading back there again (though I have a snorkel trip scheduled not sure we're keeping it there or just the one in Key West).

You should be able to get High Tea once onboard if not before. WE've never had problems getting anything we wanted at Palo once onboard if we had problems booking in advance.

Didn't even think of staying up until midnight! Just got on the computer for the day and was still able to get my excursions booked.

OMG! I can't believe we are officially in the count down stages now! Went this a.m. to get the passports for the girls. They said 4 to 6 weeks which puts us at the end of October so we should be good!

Still have to make our FE and decide what to do. Do we just plan on delivering once since we have so many people participating? I need to plan on what to bring. Can anyone help with that?

Shelley

Wow you guys are all so organised with your excursions, good job :thumbsup2 we still haven't decided which ones we want to do yet, but I think we should get onto it tonight!

For those who don’t know we have never been to FL, WDW or on a Disney cruise so this is all new to us and I was hoping to get some recommendations for restaurants at WDW, especially as we are going to be staying during thanksgiving, which I understand to be a big holiday similar to Christmas.

Since you haven't been before, you don't know how crazy it is over a holiday & people have been making ressies at 120 days out. You had better get on the phone with WDW Dining and start making ressies for dinner. At this point there may not be a lot of table service options available. You may have to settle for whatever they can find at whatever hour is available. Be flexible and they may be able to get you in somewhere. Flexibility is usually the key. If not you may be eating a lot of counter service meals. Not that that's bad. Actually that is what DH & I are planning on ourselves. He likes Casey's hotdog shoppe at MK & I like Harbor House. We each get our food & meet at Casey's to sit at the picnic tables to eat.
Good luck.pixiedust:

You can make reservations out 90 days... you are already there!

You can do it online at the Disneyworld website.
Click on Plan
then click on Dining
At each restaurant there is a make reservation tab.
Don't be shocked if many are taken already since you are almost a month into the 90 day point, but ADR (advanced dining reservations) are a must, specially with all the people booking free dining.

Good luck

Sorry, I thought they went back to 120 days. I also forgot you could now do it online, since they didn't have that for my trip last year.:goodvibes

I don't know where I'm getting the number 120 from. I think I need a vacation. LOL

Just bumping us up and reminding those who haven't responded yet regarding the meet - please PM me. Our meet will take place on the first day when the excitement is at its peak - 2:45 p.m. in the Promenade Lounge. Please join us!

If possible, could post the number of people in the staterooms, ages and gender please. I'm not looking to stalk anyone :rotfl2: but we want to make sure that if the stateroom has a little boy that we include pirate stuff and not princess stuff. Thanks. Also, not sure if adults would like Jonas Brothers stuff. :goodvibes

And we have wanted to include something from our state (New Jersey). DH and I decided on 2 things. It is finally coming together. :cool1: I sooooo need a vacation!!!

Jeff - I hope Emily is doing better and things have settled down. :grouphug:

It's supposed to be a beautiful weekend so hopefully I can get outside. Last weekend it poured on Saturday and we spent a beautiful Sunday in the mall trying to get Miranda Cosgrove's autograph (iCarly). What a nightmare that turned out to be. :headache: And we never got to meet her or get her autograph. :headache: :sad2: So this weekend I'm spending it outside (I hope). :cool1:

It's nice to see new cruisers join our thread. Welcome!!!

Thanks Allison! I'm trying to figure out how many things to buy and hadn't thought too much about gender!

It will be beautiful here in MN this weekend although the leaves are already starting to turn! It's just not right! We usually don't see the start of fall colors until the 1st of October!

Has any of you Veterans done the Royal Swim at Chakanaab?

Shelley

Just booked the rental car for both legs for $43 each way! Oh Yeah Oh Yeah :cool1: Didn't have to pay a drop fee either!

Just have to book the Royal Swim at Chakanaab. Also bought the fabric for the FE yesterday so I'll have to go back out on the forums to get the dimensions.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend! It was hot here in MN. We are getting our summer a little late this year. Oh well...I'm not complaining. It'll be cold soon enough! :cold:
