Welcome to the group! There are actually 4 other threads before this one! You'll notice there are a few that post every day and actually try to beat each other to the top of the next page...very funny.

My family includes 2 DD's 8 and 5 and we are going to start the count down pretty soon! The list of everyone that is going is on Page 1 of this thread and has all of the ages of the kids going.

Hi! We're booked on the Magic Nov.28th as well- hubby Joe and myself, plus DS David, 11, and DD Eliana, 7. One set of grandparents is coming (hopefully) too. We're heading to Orlando on Thanksgiving and having dinner at Chef Mickeys, then seeing Blue Man Group on Friday.

Hi, everyone! Glad to see new posters joining the fun here.

I can't believe how quickly the 90-day mark snuck up on me and hurried past. LOL!! Fortunately, we were out grocery shopping until about 11:40 pm Saturday and it wasn't a hassle to get on at midnight to book our Palos reservations. That is all we booked, though.

At the moment, we are playing pretty much everything by ear, and to the extent we go anywhere at any of the ports, we are making the arrangements on our own.

The 2 things that I wanted to be sure we booked were Palos brunch on our first at-sea day and high tea on the second at-sea day, and those are booked. YAY!

Now, I need to figure out what Howard and I want to do on December 5 and 6 at WDW and try to make some ADRs. FUN! I'm not even sure December park hours are out yet, so I'll have to jump over to the parks and restaurant forums to get some ideas.

Palo brunch - Check
Palo dinner - Check
Key West Snorkel - Check (if we keep it)
Coz Snorkel (check as per above) if not- paradise beach here we come

I miss our ship.

Hey there everyone. Time to get some action on this board as we are getting closer and closer. Gotta keep this thread on page one in case other cruisers want to join us.

Cam - Thanks for handling our Palo and high tea reservations! :thumbsup2 I was fast asleep while you did all the work. :lmao:

Charlie's dive excursions in Cozumel and grand Cayman are booked. Good thing I have next week's BLT trip to distract me. Can't start day dreaming about the cruise yet. Can I??? :cloud9:

We would both love to dive but we have the girls and didn't know how we could swing that as we both want to go. Is the diving good....wait not sure I really want to know.

Just back from a day at Disneyland with my kids and getting REALLY excited for the cruise! We live 30 mins from the park and have season passes but don't go too often to make it a special thing for the kids. We start back to school next Tuesday so this was kind of the last hoorah before getting back to crazy schedule. But now I am anxiously counting down to Nov 28 - and can't wait to see how surprised the kids will be when we tell them we on Thanksgiving (hoping to keep the secret that long). Disney really is magical and looking forward to all the memories. We can't book reservations on Sept 14 and really hoping we are able to get Palo brunch and dinner. Any suggestions what days are the best to do (if we have a choice?).

Glad to see more people posting - I am trying to convince my friend to book our week with her family - she joined me for our Disneyland fun today and my neighbor teenager girl came along to help with my little ones (hard to juggle all 4 by myself and different likes for rides, etc.) Anyways, my neighbor girl has done DCL a couple times and LOVES it so got me even more excited!

Better get dinner going.

They do save some reservations for the 75 day mark (when you can book) so just get on asap after midnight eastern time that day and you will likely get what you want. In lieu of that, it is pretty easy to get it once you board the ship as well. We've never NOT gotten everything we wanted at Palo. As to best days, it's easiest to get Palo brunch on Key West Day since we don't get into port until 12:30 it works well - we did that last time.

Well, you're in luck... :lmao: ... because I can't tell you. I don't dive. I can't even swim! But I can float around on a noodle like nobody's business! :rotfl2: Charlie loves diving in both places, although I think he likes GC better.

Hmmmm....lets think about how you could pull this off. There must be a way.... :confused3

Now you're just teasing....:scratchin

Good morning cruisers!
Having a very tough transition to kindergarten with our little one even though she has been in some kind of daycare, preschool or pre-K her whole life on a part time basis. I actually had to walk away from the school door today while she was screaming my name inside. My heart is breaking and I suspect today will not be the most productive day ever.

Happy almost holiday weekend to all!

jeff

Oh Jeff, I'm so sorry to hear this. Hopefully by the time she gets home she will be fine and won't understand why you were so upset.

Is there anyway you can go peek in the classroom window to see how she's doing? Just don't let her see you. :goodvibes

Post later to let us know how she did.

Poor Emily, Jeff we have been through this too. After a long day of me feeling just awful my DD came home all excited telling us stories about how nice her teacher was and all the new friends she made.:confused3 We were so confused, but in a good way. The next day she ran into the building without even glancing back at me.
I sure hope Emily will be the same way for you.:goodvibes

Unfortunately today was the sixth day of kindergarten and it is getting worse, not better. This is taking a lot out of all of us and it just breaks my heart to see her so sad.

Oh my goodness. :sad1: Give her a great big hug from all of us. :grouphug: I'll keep good thoughts that this will get better.

Thats aweful Jeff, most kids love kindergarden. Hopefully she will make a good friend and then she will want to go to see her friend. That might help.
You may have to talk with her teacher, maybe she can help by giving her a little special attention without making others jealous??

Good luck, my heart goes out to you and Emily.

Yep. We have talked to the teacher and are a little concerned that she doesn't have a lot of great ideas even though she is revered as one of the top K teacher in the district. We've talked to the principal as well who was very good and we are hoping we can all work together to fix this. No kid should have to be this sad for this long.

Much better day at Kindergarten. Em finally expressed that she just misses her old school. She went to the same preschool/daycare from 3 months old to just a week or so ago and it's really the best in the city so I guess I understand her being scared and nervous and sad. Hopefully she will get more used to Kindergarten and start having fun soon. No tears today at school (just at home before school) so thats a step in the right direction.

What's up with the rest of the cruisers here ? We are heading to the Pitt football game tomorrow then a pool party with friends on Sunday.

have a great weekend all!
