Great photos Jeff. Didnt you get a new camera recently?
Your photos are really clear and look very professional. The girls really look happy. Of course who could blame them:goodvibes

Thanks Jeff,

We are going to be researching a nice new digital camera before our TA cruise next year. We have a good digital camera but want a really nice one for the TA cruise. We want to buy it a couple of months before so we can get use to using it. I will look at the Canon G10, not worried about the pirce just want something that takes great photos.

Of course I need all the help I can get taking photos.:rolleyes1 I tend to get some great shots of the sky:rotfl2:

Hi Allison:goodvibes
Later,
Kathy

Kathy - price on the G10 isn't bad at all. I can't remember exactly but it was around $450 if I remember correctly. More than the smaller digital cameras but the pix are like an SLR. The only challenge with the G10 is it is much larger in size than the compact tiny digital cameras we are used to. But again, it's so much better quality. I am so happy we bought it as it is just an amazing camera.

I dont think being larger would be a problem for us. We would only use it for vacations and have a good small digital already for other times. Lots of times our camera is on a strap around the neck for convenience of taking spur of the moment photos.
Is it too big for that?
I also always carry a small tote bag for souvenirs and water bottles and such we could carry it in there too until needed. As long as it has a case around it for protection.
I am also going to check out sales after Christmas. When new models come out for the holidays the last years models often go on close out sales.

I always take tons of photos every where we go, even if I have been there before. Greg always says I take way too many when I am doing it but then later when he is looking at them he loves I got pictures of things he thought wasnt worth my time to take the photo of.
Last 7 day cruise i took almost 500 photos. Deleted around 25 that wern't too good.
So you can imagine how many photos I will take on a 14 day TA cruise with several new ports:lmao:

Love the falls in your last set of photos. Beautiful!

Kathy

Not too big for that at all. I found a great case that fits the camera perfectly. I was worried I'd have to buy a big honkin case for it but ended up buying one that it fit like a glove at Best Buy (which is also where i got the camera).

Nessa is putting together the FE list. You can send her a PM with all the necessary details. I don't think she's posted in awhile but just go back a few pages and I'm sure there is one from her. She has a pesky wedding to plan too so maybe she's too busy to post. :goodvibes Go figure. :confused3:rolleyes1

Hey Guys!
I know it's been awhile since I've posted. I had a big project at work and now that's done. Made the final payment on the cruise so I guess it's official now! I'll try and find Nessa also as I would like to be included in the FE. 93 days and counting so I guess we need to start soon! I'm hoping to do the Dolphins in Cozumel and maybe the Turtles in G.Caymen. Probably just beach day at CC - my girls are 5 & 7

Did anyone find cheap airfare? It's been hanging around $200 which I guess isn't too bad. I'll probably book that soon if it doesn't drop in the next week or so.

Shellfish-
My girls are 4.5, 7, & 8 - plus a 3 yr old son. Glad to hear more kids their age will be on the ship and in the kids club. We are still deciding on excursions - a little challenging given our younger 2 are not eligible for much. Probably just enjoy beaches this trip and look forward to bigger things the next go round!

And we have a five year old girl and an 11 year old girl as well. So it looks like the 5-7 group is going to be filled with DISers!

Ok finally posting last photos. These are from Maui.

Hey all. It's almost time to book excursions and Palo for us 90 day folks. We are now considering Fury catamaran in Cozumel. Anyone else?

This is so exciting! I can't believe how close this is getting. I guess Howard and I need to powwow with our travel companions/dear friends, Judy & Charlie, and figure out what we want to book. Woohoo!! :woohoo: I just booked our flights home late Sunday night, so I'll also have to figure out if we want to book any ADRs at WDW. FUN!

We just booked Thanksgiving Dinner at the Yachtsman's Steakhouse and dinner the next night at O'Hana!!

We're doing an island tour on GC and a dolphin swim (not thru DCL) on Cozumel. Not doing Palo and I still can't decide about a spa day. I may book it and then cancel later on.

We're doing O'Hana on Thanksgiving and Biergarten with the Candlelight Processional on Friday evening.

Beautiful pictures of Hawaii!

My DD's 8 and 3, myself and my DM are also doing dolphins in Cozumel (on our own) and I think we will just do 7 mile beach on our one in GC. Not sure about Key West. Got our flights (although they have changed more times than I can count already - Airtran). We are all so excited. :cheer2:

Hi all. I admit I haven't read the first 91 pages of this thread, but here I am.

Getting excited now that we're inside 90 days. Getting ready to book Palo! (As soon as I get us linked with our friends. Hopefully we can still get a good spot.)

Anyway, this will be the 3rd cruise for us. Me, DW, DD10 and DS6. We're traveling with another family that we introduced to DCL last summer. They are a couple with girls 10 and 6. Also bringing along two grandparents, one from each family.

Can't wait!

WELCOME!!!! I also have a 10 year old girl but she will be 11 on the cruise. Will your daughter be 10 or 11 on the cruise, and thus in Ocean Quest or Oceaneer's Lab? Trying to connect my DD with other Ocean Quest girls in advance of the cruise so she at least knows some folks. She's pretty shy so it always helps.

Welcome and no need to read the other 91 pages. We're doing FE on this cruise. Nessa is coordinating it. She posted several pages back if you want to find her and participate. I also have a DD who will be close to 10 (about 6 weeks shy). We have a lot of girls on this cruise. Definitely have to coordinate a meet on the first day for everyone. :thumbsup2

We have a 5 pm reservation. My DH uses and ECV or a cane - look for us. Don't be afraid to say hello. Its just me, DH and our 9 yo DD. So if you see us feel free to say hi! I use DH and his ECV as a point of reference as its easy to spot. Not sure if he'll be using it because we're not planning on a lot of walking on Thursday but he will have his cane otherwise. Hopefully we'll run into each other. :thumbsup2
