Hi Greg
Hi Allison
Hi Brantley
Hi Jeff

Kathy

Afternoon Nana's!

WOW! What a change in the weather!

Was up to 70 degree on Saturday and then Sunday it started snowing and hasn't stopped! :scared1:

I was planning to jump on the tractor and get the ground tilled up, but I guess I won't do that yet?! :sad2:

Hope everyone has a great day!

Are you planting a garden?

I love having a garden but in Florida due to extreme heat, humidity and millions of bugs you need a greenhouse to be successful. So I U-Pick from the farms when I can. we have awesome blueberries 2 minutes from our house and after they are harvested he opens it up for U -Pickers. Plenty of good berries left and really cheap.

Plus we have 2 farmers markets near by with good fresh stuff at great prices.

Kathy

Hey Nanaheads!
Long time. VERY busy around here. I was in Dayton over the weekend watching NCAA basketball. My Pitt Panthers are in the Sweet 16 this weekend in Boston. Unfortunately I can't go due to other obligations but I will be glued to the TV.

We are heading to WDW and on a 3 night DCL over Easter and we have to really get ready for it. And we are heading back in June and haven't made a single dining reservation for that one. Gotta figure out a plan.

Lotta work to do now but I wanted to check in and say Hi!

Morning all,
Jeff nice to see you checking in . Our Trail Blazers are doing great here for basketball. I didnt hear if they won the last game but they are in first place unless they lost it. Just too hectic to check it right now.

Hi Allison,
have a great Tuesday.

Yep, I have a big garden! I love fresh vegetables!

I may expand it this year to include raspberries and strawberries though.

Most of my neighbors grow gardens and we each are good at growing certain things, so at the end of the year we all get together and exchange produce. :lmao:

I can't grow decent peas or corn to save my life, but I do grow pretty nice tomatos, peppers and beets! :lmao:

Snatched the top right out from under you didn't I Kathy?! :lmao:

Hi Greg,

when we had our own place here in Oregon I always had a garden. Corn is a hard one to grow. My parents had about 40 50 foot rows of corn every year because thats all we could grow in our rocky back yard. But it was great.
we always had a big corn feed at out place with all the neighbrs at peak season too.
They would bring butter, S&P and paper plates and beverages and we had the corn and cooked it. Those were fun times!!

I grew a good patch of peas one year but never got to eat a single pea.
My kids went out and discovered they liked raw peas. Peas ar emy favorite so I was kinda upset with them. who would of thought they would go out and eat vegetables??:lmao::lmao:

we did beans, cucumbers, hanging baskets with strawberries, corn, tomatoes, and even a few small watermelons, onions and garlic.

Have fun with your garden. I miss having one. who knows I may try a patio tomato plant or hanging strawberry plant once we get home again.

Kathy

WE WONT DISCUSS THE TOP !!:rolleyes1

Allison has been snagging it lately to keep you guys away from it, so I guess we had to let a guy get it once so they wont complain of pout about it;)

I use to have a huge garden! Canned about 75 quarts of beans, strung tons for shuck beans and 75 pints of tomatoes (goulash, regular and chili) every year. Froze tons of corn and green peppers. I've had strawberries--never could get them to be of any size. Raspberries we had here until I tore down the back building and moved them. Most of them died. Kathy, the kids always picked them all and ate them too. They'd bring me a couple and say they wanted to make sure I had some! lol

I haven't posted in a really really long time, but for awhile we were debating whether or not we were still going to cruise this year-- but the other day I decided I really miss the ship, and went ahead and bought plane tickets:thumbsup2 So I can't wait to get to know everybody, and join in the fun! I already have a FE - first time for that- the other 3 cruises we didn't do one. Oh, and according to the kids we are in "steerage" Deck 1 :lmao: My oldest has watched Titanic way too many times! K-- I am heading to bed-- but will be back tomorrow. :goodvibes

Hi Jenny, welcome back:goodvibes

We have some new people since you were here last but i'm sure they will introduce themselves soon.

we are still hoping for this cruise but havnt booked it yet. It will be a last minute booking for us, depending on this rotton economy. So keeping fingers crossed that we are going!!:thumbsup2
I am still posting so if we do go i will know everyone;)

Just jump right in and start posting. Yes we will do a FE gift exchange, so its great you have yours too.

off to walk the pups, in the rain:sad2:

:scared1: Middle of page 2!!! :scared1:

Bumping back up to the top. It's a nice day out today. Walked over to St. Patrick's to run an errand for my mom. Note to self - don't take Jewish co-worker to St. Pat's. She didn't realize there was a lunch time mass and thought someone was just on the altar speaking. She started to mock him. :scared: I did have to tell it that it was a full blown mass. :sad2:
I don't think her religion had anything to do with her mocking the priest. She's a little touched anyway. :rotfl:

Then we walked over to Jamba Juice and she dropped $5 on a smoothie. None for me. I'll bank my pennies for the boat. :thumbsup2

Kathy, we were posting at the same time. Sorry to hear its raining. We have the sun today but rain for tomorrow. :sad2:

I am with you, I am saving every penny i can for this and the 2010 cruise.:thumbsup2

We are suppose to get a bit of sun later today, but they said that yesterday too and about 7 p.m. we had 10 minutes of the sun setting. So that didnt help much:goodvibes

I always get tired of rain when I spent the winter in Oregon. Its beautiful here due to all the rain, summers are awesome. But the winters are lousy;)

Kathy

Good Morning!

Greg, sorry I forgot to wish Brayden Happy 5th Birthday on Tuesday! Did he go swimming?

Sorry to hear about all the rain Kathy.

Yay, Jennie's back! Glad to hear that you still plan on going on this cruise.

Not much else going on around here. Nice to be able to get outside some. Days in the high 50s.

Yes, we did take Brayden swimming Saturday....we had a blast! :cool1:

Good morning Nana's!

I just noticed my ticker.....one year from today I'll be heading for Barbados, St. Kitts/Nevis, Antigua, Tortola, & the Dominican Republic! :woohoo::woohoo:

Evening all:

just thought I would pop over and say hello.......how is everyone???

Dawn, are you going on this cruise?
One of our patients called today to schedule a "sick" appointment, and we got to talkin...she is leaving saturday to fly to florida and is sailing on the celeberity solstice....so she brought the brochure.....OMG the ship is beautiful...as I was going thru the book, there was this really beautiful area with really nice looking lounge chairs by this gorgeous pool....she said, that was for the people that booked the "spa" suites...which the price was much higher but did include some spa treatments....so she is supposed to fill me in onthe ship when she gets back.

Nothing much here going on....my dad is not doing well....hopping he hangs on for another couple of months....leaving in 19 days for colorado......cannot wait to meet that little baby girl.....Heather was at the doc last nite...baby in position...now all she needs to do is hold out until the 16th and it will be all good!!!;)

Have a great eveing all

I really miss you guys....after seeing the 08 nanahead pictures that steve did....it made me really want to go back.......NOW!!!:goodvibes

take care all
