Hey Dawn - are you sending that weather east to NJ? We have another day of rain. :sad2: My poor DH isn't sleeping well with his arthritis. We even bought a new mattress topper to help but it's just not cutting it this weekend.
On a positive note all the plants are blooming nicely. Now if it stops raining long enough for the roots to dry out they will literally explode with growth. :thumbsup2

Hope everyone has a good week. :yay:

Good morning all,
Still wet and cold here. But now they are saying next weekend will be dry. We really need that. We need a dry day so Greg can get outside and rewire our trailer so we can haul things on it when we move, eventually. Plus I need good weather to paint the new handrail put up at moms house on her back porch, plus there is a black stripe on her place that needs to be repainted and the whole place needs to be power washed. We really need dry weather to do that.

Dawn,
well saturday was a good visit. Mom was very alert and aware of us and what was going on around her. Although her mind of course was not good. She was telling us what Christmas decorations to bring her so she could decorate her room;)
Sunday I went back with my brother and she was not so good. She was paranoid about everything which is common for Dimenta patients. That was horrible. No matter what we said or did it was wrong because she believe it would hurt us or the people there would not allow us to step into a certain room. Invisible lines on the floor we cant walk past. Dont touch the flowers because it will kill you etc....
Next saturday they are having an ice cream social for everyone for mothers day and families are invited. Both my brothers and SIL are going. I can't eat the ice cream and 3 is alot of company for her at once. So I will go on Sunday for mothers day to visit and spend saturday still packing things around her place.
So everyday is still a different adventure. I am just taking it one day at a time but I am getting exhausted from the mental part of all of this. Of course so are my brothers. I am glad I have Greg to lean on and my brothers too.

How are the boys enjoying all the sports now? I am sure you probably posted about it but I havnt gone back to read all the missed posts yet. Just too tired. I am going to try and catch a nap this morning if the pups will let me:goodvibes

Have a great Monday everyone,

kathy

Thanks for the update Kathy. :grouphug: from this end of the world and the knowledge that a whole bunch of people have you and Greg in their thoughts every day.

Yes, I should say WE are enjoying the sports! I look forward to getting out and seeing everyone too! This will be the first Monday in three weeks that they will have a game (cross your fingers), the last two were cancelled because of rain.

Mr. B I am soooo happy to hear from you. I was getting worried about you that you might be ill or something.
Glad your all ok:hug:

Good night everyone,

Kathy

Hey, "Mr. B" glad to hear from you too! Sounds like you took on a load! You'll need that cruise by November! :thumbsup2

Good Morning All!

We got in a great soccer practice and a baseball game! Boys lost by 1 pt in the 6th inning--they didn't have their "head in the game" yesterday. I think too many days in between playing.

STILL nice weather though some spring showers are suppose to be moving in for this evening. Hopefully, out of here for tomorrow nights game.

Good morning everyone,

Dawn, sorry to hear they lost by 1 point that is harder to loose by than 3 or 4 points I think because your sooooo close!! Maybe they will win the next one.:thumbsup2

We still have rain until friday then its suppose to dry out some for the weekend. I sure hope they are right.

Nothing exciting around here today.
I will check back later to see who has been around today.

Kathy

Mornin' all!

Another cold overcast day here again.

Just thought I'd pop over here to the dark side and say "hi". :wave2:

Hi all.

Had a LOOOOOOONG day yesterday as I traveled to beautiful Clifton New Jersey for a meeting. Flew into Newark and my plane was delayed 3 different times (once while sitting on the runway) and I nearly missed the meeting. Had the two worst cab drivers in America - including the one on the way back to the airport who decided to go through downtown Newark at 5 p.m. because it would be less congested. DUH. A 20 minute drive took 90 - and not because of traffic. The good news is that the meeting went great and there is a real possibility of some new business!

Elizabeth is STILL sick. It's been nearly 3 weeks. She's had 4 doctor visits, 2 different antibiotics and a chest x-ray and she is still coughing. Yesterday they gave her asthma meds and an inhaler - they don't think she has actual long term asthma but that this virus has induced asthma like symptoms and this is the only thing that'll make it go away. I truly hope it works as it kills me to watch her be so miserable, miss school and her activities.

Hey Brantley, now that you are taking over the joint, you ready to engage a top notch PR professional with a specialty in professional services firms (hint hint). Let me know as I'd love to have a law firm as a client.:banana:

Have a great Tuesday everyone. I'm getting ready for an afternoon and evening of errands and mother's day shopping with the kids.

Hi all,
Still raining in NYC. I swear I'm going to start growing mold on my arms and legs. :lmao: And GS camping is going to be soooo much fun this weekend in the mud. :scared: Yuck!!

Hey Jeff, While this might sound strange...has your dr. checked your DD for whooping cough? My niece (fully vaccinated) came down with whooping cough a few years ago. She was in 6th grade I think. She coughed horribly, ran fevers, etc. She was sick with it for months. Apparently once kids hit a certain age the vaccine wears off. There was a whole bunch of kids in their county that actually came down with it. It was one of those diseases that the doctors never thought to check for. :confused3 I hope she's feeling better soon.

Holy cow!! Elizabeth is still down after 3 weeks?! I hope she isn't trying to get pneumonia?! :scared1:

Nope. They did a chest x-ray and it's not that. Almost wish it was so that we could just treat it and be done with it. This not knowing exactly what it is and it continuing for this long is making us all stressed out.

Hi all,
Jeff, I sure hope they figure out whats causing her problems soon.

Heres some pixie dust for Elizabeth.
Ok the pixie dust came out wrong for some reason. Between each one was the guy with his tongue stuck out??
I will try again on the next post. But I am sending good wishes for her.

Hi Allison

Hi Greg:snooty:

Maybe you can stop by and say hello.
I am not sure if its a man or woman?

The name is Sing?
Seems nice enough. Eventually if they keep posting i will ask them to e-mail me and I will tell them about this thread so hopefully they will post here to get aquainted.
They dont like you to say anything about Dis Boards over there, a bit of jealously I think:lmao:

Kathy,
I will pop over there tomorrow to say hello. I haven't been on that board in awhile. I always forget about it until its time to start thinking about the shore excursions.

Strange re the whooping cough. But they did do a chest xray already which I believe would find whooping cough. Maybe I'm wrong, though. I looked up the symptoms etc and it does sound similar. Can't figure out why the docs wouldn't even think of it, however. She has already been on a z-pak too. If the current meds don't resolve anything, I will definitely bring this up with the doctor, however.

I went through that with DD when she was 6-8 months. They did finally diagnose her with Asthma. This year has been especially bad. She coughs constantly. She hasn't been sick, just coughing with occasional wheezing. She's at the point where she is trying to be independent and it's a fight for her to do a nebulizer. She wants to be a big girl and only do the inhaler but the neb makes a HUGE difference - hours of restful sleep for the whole house! :)

I hope she gets better soon! I feel for you!

Yeah, that would be very stressful!! I hope she gets feeling better soon. :thumbsup2

Hi Kathy. :duck:

My internet went down at 2pm this afternoon and I just got it back. If I could keep these idiots with their backhoes from digging up my fiber optic line I might be able to get online once in a while. You'd think the $16,000 fine for illegal digging would make them look around a little?! :headache:

Its not like the route isn't mark every 50 feet with a big sign that says "No digging buried cable!!" :sad2:

Oh well, have a good night. :faint:

:wave2: Good Morning! Showers that we were suppose to get fizzled out! Who knows the weather man is NEVER right :confused3.

Sold the boys loft bed unit last night so now I've made some work for myself. Clean up the room, touch up the paint and the floor. Have to get the quilt and valances done too.

Greg, have you started as the water man yet?
