Hey Kathy -
We had a fantastic sailing. I'm still traveling though - in NYC on biz this week - so no time to download pics yet. We upgraded to a suite at the port and that was great and the weather was absolutely perfect once we left PC. Key West was beautiful. Grand Cayman perfect temps and warm water. Cozumel same thing and CC was gorgeous most of the day - a few clouds rolled in mid day but went away quickly. Days at sea were warm and the seas were calm the entire trip. Already feels like it was months ago. We booked a few more sailings including the Dream sailing that Brantley has booked. We may have to cancel our August Dream trip so we wanted to get a date that would work for us for sure.

Hopefully I will have some photos to post later in the week or next week.

Plus your rubbing in all the nice WARM weather you had while I am sititng her bundled in a blanket at 32 degrees and going down to 11 tonight

Glad the trip went well, we had hot weather on our cruise. I did a trip report with lots of photos if you get tme to look at the reports board.

Cant wait to see your photos as soon as you get the chance.

Kathy,

It got up to 7 degrees today. Janel said she had a urine specimen freeze in her car while she ran into someone house to check their vital signs.

After today the weatherman says we'll start getting a little warmer.

Good morning!

It got a little chilly last night, -4! This morning its warmed up to 3 degrees though....shorts and t-shirt weather.

I started the fireplace this morning and turned the furnace off. It feels warmer when the fireplace is going.

I've got to run into town for some business meetings, but I'll be back later this afternoon.

We are having a heat wave compared to you Greg. We are 14 right now. Time to BBQ I guess
Suppose to be 9 tonight

I am all bundled up as usual with blankets and my purple heater thingy, still dont know the name of it.??
Pups are snuggled into blankets too.
I havnt opened any curtains yet and wont for awhile, that would let in more cold air.

I was going to make cookie dough and then freeze it until closer to Christmas but the butter won't soften on the counter, its too cold
I dont like to soften it in the microwave because it always melts it too much and the receipe wont come out right.
If the dogs would leave it alone i could set it on the furnace vent I guess?


The lower door window in the front door of our RV is solid ice again this morning. Shows you how cool it is inside as well as outside.

We have decided not to stay another winter in this RV, after this year, which we cant afford to get out of while doing mortgage payments and utilities for our Florida house. Nobody has wanted to rent it for the last few months so we put it on the market to sell it. That way we can afford to rent some place else or build a small home here for now.
We got a bid on it and accepted it . Supposidly the people are well qualified and will close by Jan 8th which is a fast closing. So we shall see what happens.

There are lots of great buys in Florida too where Greg could take a lower paying job and easily make the payments on it unlike our present house, so that is a good thing for us to think about right now.
We would love to move back there this summer.

Not sure what will happen yet. Keeping fingers crossed!!

I'm back

I had to stop in for a check up at the doctors office on my way home. I was sure I was in perfect health.

I've lost almost 50lbs this past year and have been jogging almost 2 miles everyday....even in the snow!!

The doctor said I have high blood pressure and put me on pills for it!

I called my younger brother in SLC to vent and he told me he's had high blood pressure since he was in medical school back in 2002.

Since I'm 4 years older then he is I'm feeling a little better.

Great job on the weight loss.
My brother did the same thing. He walsk though, not jobs but walks really fast every morning after breakfast, lost weight and takes great care of himself and 2 years ago (age 63) he ahd to have blood pressure meds. Dr. told him as we age almost everyones pressure goes up.

For awhile with the stress of caring for mom he had to double his meds though.
Now he is back to normal doseage.

Be thankful you found out before it caused you problems. BP sneaks up on people because it doesnt have any warning signs.

Hello Denise, Kathy & Joanna!

We finally finished our gingerbread house tonight. We probably won't be winning any awards, but we had a lot of fun making it.

Holly and Brayden kept eating the gum drops, so we didn't have as many to stick on the house.

Janel decided she was going to make caramels tonight, so we've all been taking turns stirring the pot......I hate making caramels but I do enjoy eating them so I stir.

Greg I gotcha beat,

we were 10 this morning and will be single digits tonight.
Friday evening as we change over to a bit warmer w ehave rain coming which will be snow,rin ro freezing rain over night depending on how fast the warm air arrives.

I love fresh caramels!! Havnt made them in years.

I do one new thing each year. But now that i do sugar free for greg it is much harder to make some things. I want ot try and make home made marshmallows so I can make rice krispy squares anf fudge. I can make hard fudge but greg doesnt like hard fudge.
Plus I want to make divinity. It will be from scratch, no marshmallow cream. I dont know how the sugar substitute will work. so wont tell Greg I am trying it so he wont be disappointed. If the marshmallows work and I have some left I might be able to use some of them to help the divinity to thicken up if necessary.
I will do all that next week, I must get to the store this weekend and do all my shopping for presents and food first . That will be one long day for me. I need Greg to watch the pups they cant sit in the truck all day while I shop.


I do have a bit of good news. My DD got fasting tests back and her diabetes is the type that comes with pregnancy and should go away by 4 week after the birth.
