Have any of you checked out the room sizes of the new ships?
They are considerably smaller than the current ones.

I think people will be upset about that if they have cruised on DCL before.

Believe me.....I didn't get a voice activated system for me (I'm more of a hands on kinda guy) I got it for the wife and kids. They needed something easy to use.

Bla Bla Bla Greg.....men and their toys......who are you trying to kid?????? you got it for yourself....men and electronics.....anything with a remote or buttons....hey, I may be divorced, however, I was married 28years before the divorce happend..... so I know how men like their toys!!!

No I didnt notice that the new rooms were "smaller" I didnt read about their actually size, however seeing pictures of them the "looked" the same size

Not much goin on here, trying to get enough energy to do some cleaning around here. I have to work tomorrow from 9-12.....not long, but it really puts a damper on your day.....gonna put up my christmas tree tomorrow when I get home. yes its early, but the weekend after thanksgiving I have to much running so I'm doin it now......

Kathy, so far I haven't gotten any snow yet....it does look like it could today though.

Yeah, the Rose Bowl would be nice! I don't think I've heard officially which Bowl game they would be playing in this year?

Denise, yeah, yeah, yeah......women are just as bad! You've got dish washing machines to do the dishes, washers and dryers to do the laundry, garbage disposals to get rid of the garbage, and self propelled vaccums to clean the carpets.....sounds like a lot of stuff with remotes and buttons to me?!

Greg dont worry I am sure snow will be there soon for you.

I am off to the store. I was going to go earlier but it was 30 and everything was iced over. I wanted ot wait until the orads wern't icy. since i drive through hills and valleys and shaded curves that are often icy in the mornings. It's 36 now and the sun is trying to come out, so I best get going.

Quiet day here today.

Just got the new Star Trek movie and going to watch it. Peter says its pretty good. So I will give it a try.

We bought the new Star Trek movie today also.

All of my wife's family is headed to our house as we speak to watch the game....I just had the carpets shampooed last week too!

Holy smokes!!....was that a football game or what Kathy!!!

Double overtime to pull off the win!!

I guess they still have to win Oregon State on the 3rd before they go to the Rose Bowl.

I'm exhausted and headed to bed!

Thats about as exciting as my old ticker can take

Right at the end of the regular game time when we were loosing and their fans starting coming down to rush the field I told Greg and Peter, I hope we get a touch down just to show them they are being so rude coming down that early. A lot can happen in the last 30 seconds of a game. About the end of my sentence we got a TD

Of course if we were in Oregon and our fans were coming down it would of been a different story. I would want them ready to run the field


Now its the Civil war game. Oregon as state cant loose, one of their teams will make a rose bowl game this year.
But the state is divided between the 2 teams.
Every hotel for 50 miles around Eugene is filled up and all the businesses are gearing up with souvenirs for both teams. Of course all the bars will do a BIG business if they have the big screen TV and carry the station that gets it.

Good morning,

well it dumped rain all night and it had large wind gusts again. I heard things banging around and the large metal dumpsters lid kept banging after it flew open. I didnt sleep much at all due to all the noise.

of course I was pretty excited after the football game too.
Today 90% of the cars on the freeway will have one of the 2 teams logos or flags flying on them, at least until after the Civil war game, then just the winning team will be displayed.

Well today I am off to the local laundry matt to wash all the comforters and large blankets that wont fit in the machines here. I do them once ever couple of months. It costs so much to use those large machines, I hate it.

Yeah, that was quite a game!! That touchdown in the last few seconds to give them the win really shocked the Arizona fans didn't it!

My BIL called after the game and we got to congratulate him.

Of course Janel is wanting to go back over to Eugene on the 3rd to watch the civil war game!!

Of course if they win on the 3rd she'll want to go to the Rose Bowl down in Pasadena! I can see all of our excursion money for our cruise getting used up in watching football this year!

I think I get the best seat in the stadium right in front of my tv.

The snow just started falling about 30 minutes ago...not to heavy, just a light dusting. It's been cold enough the past couple of weeks I don't think it will melt anytime soon.

We have lots of sun today but its still cold and very windy.
Just took the RV over to fill the propane tank due to all the cold nights ahead on the forecast. At least I got all the comforters washed and dried today.
bought almost $300 worth of food and non food stuff yesterday and I still need eggs I thought I was good for a long time. Guess Greg will have to get some after work tomorrow.


I loved the look on Arizona fans faces when we won. They showed a good close up of several who were just standing there with their mouths open starring out into space in disbelief
We all had a good laugh on that shot. Better them than us

I would never attempt to go anywhere near the stadium for the civil war game. I have seen the horrible traffic, even with shuttles they provide.
I too will sit in front of the TV for a great view and wont freeze or get rained on.
But I dont blame Janel for wanting to be there to cheer them on.


It's about time you guys started getting some snow that sticks there. It's almost December.

It's been snowing non stop since my last post.....we probably have 4-5 inches on the ground now!

All the roads are very slick and icy....I wonder how many accidents there will be in the next 24hours when everyone heads to work tomorrow?

Well its about time you got a good dose of snow. Hope it doesnt cause too much trouble for traffic. Here we get so little snow people don't know how to drive in it. Thats really dangerous.

Just trying to keep warm here. Down to the mid 30's again tonight and windy.

All the talk here is the upcoming game. All the sports bars are gearing up for big crowds. They have been showing people buying all kinds of memorabilia for both teams. Good for business I guess.

It's a winter wonderland here this morning!

Snow stopped last night, but we've probably got about 5" of snow on the ground.

The local news last night was full of accidents and slide offs.

Today I will be cleaning house after the big football party here the other night....carpet cleaners should be here around noon.

Looks like it time to take my place at the top!!

It seems like everyone has desserted us here?
Maybe I best start shaving my legs again and using deodorant again so they will come back



Well no snow here but 34 this morning and very foggy! The sun is suppose to come out and no rain until Thanksgiving evening but I dont believe that!
They have been wrong everyday for the past 4 days.

Boy thats lazy calling carpet cleaners to do your work. I'll bet you wont even tell Janel. You'll take all the credit for it looking so good. Then you say how tired you are after working hard all day on the carpet.


I was going to make cinnamon rolls today. But I dont think its warm enough in here for the yeast dough to rise today. I use to pop up the table and set the dough in front of the heater but that table no longer exists. So I guess I will do peanut butter cookies instead. They are quick and easy. Only 4 ingredients. One dirty bowl.

Wow, Kathy I didn't even notice that. I am kinda surprised, I thought everything on the ship was 40% bigger.

Funny thing is that the staterooms on the "world's largest cruise ship" are even smaller and cost about the same.

Sounds like you guys are having just awful weather. You need to move somewhere warm....like say Vegas It's going to be sunny and 68 for Thanksgiving.

Greg was reading all the stats about the new ship and discovered the rooms were smaller. I dont remember the square footage but it is quite a bit smaller.
