11/26/2011 EARLY Bananahead reunions cruise

No rain yet today but its cold and windy. Guess we are headed for more big wind gusts today and all weekend.
It will be a good saturday evening to sit back and watch the Ducks stomp on Arizona:thumbsup2

It's suppose to pour all weekend so good thing its an away game.
Greg, is the entire clan coming to your place for turkey day this year?
At least you can entertain some of the kids in your theater room:goodvibes

I'm sure the kids could figure out the system just fine to watch some movies:rolleyes1

We're enjoying your pictures Kathy! How was St. Croix?

My wife's family is coming here for Thanksgiving this weekend and then next week all of my family will be going to my mother's.

The kids won't have any problems working the home theater....its voice activated. They just press a button on the remote and say "movie", "tv" or "game" and it turns on which ever they say.

Now if that isn't cool! Our school just start using an online payment system for school lunches!

My kids were always forgetting to tell me when they run out of money for lunch, so they'd always end up going with out at least one day before they'd remember to tell me to send a check with them.

This new online system I can log in and see how much they have in their account and make online payments when needed. :cool1:

here is the new double slide at CC.

very cool, was this on the family beach??

This crane was apparently building a new jetty wall near the slide to keep the waves out.

I am getting very disgusted with my job and really am thinking of looking for something else to do.....but i'm sure I will just hang on for awhile because of the economy.....who knows, maybe things will get better after the first of the year.

Kathy please post more pictures.....I need my caribbean fix....:rotfl:

Boy thats a lazy mans set up isnt it. You dont even have to fight for a remote, just give a command.:rolleyes1

I liked St. Croix,
it was very pretty there. We went to Christensted on a walking historical tour by a beautiful harbor. It's very small, even though it is the largest island of the chain. Our guide was awesome.

I wish they had that when my kids were in school. It would have really helped, although WAY back then most didnt have computers like they do today:rolleyes1

Denise,
I have lots more photos to share. Tomorrow I will post a few more.:goodvibes

It helps us all get through the cold weather.

Jeff can share his photos when he gets back, by then I will be done sharing mine. Maybe between both of us we will get us through half the winter.:thumbsup2

Believe me.....I didn't get a voice activated system for me (I'm more of a hands on kinda guy) I got it for the wife and kids. They needed something easy to use.

Good morning.

Looks like its going to be a nice sunny day today. I doubt our tempts will get above 45, but having the sunshine always feels good.

Gotta fix some pancakes and scrambles eggs for the kids before the bus gets here.

Later.....

Morning all,

It's dumping rain all night and will continue all day today. Over an inch is expected today and up to 2 feet of snow in the mountains within the next 24 hours.

Of course it is extra windy too, so it feels like 30 degrees while its really 45. I really miss that hot tropical weather;)

I hope we have a break in the rain tomorrow so I can get my shopping done. I havnt been to get groceries accept Milk and bread since we got back. So it will be a large shopping this time.

I sure hope they televise the game tomorrow. Never sure when its an away game if regular cable will carry it. GO DUCKS!!!

Have a great day everyone,

Kathy

Hi Kathy, Glad to hear your enjoying all the nice weather I've been sending your way. :rotfl2:

According to the Ducks schedule it appears ABC will be broadcasting the game this weekend and ESPN the game on Dec. 3.

I think if they win both of these games they'll be playing in the Holiday Bowl. :cool1:

I was hoping for The Rose Bowl, its been way too many years since they have doen that one.:thumbsup2

Well its 1 p.m. and it hasnt stopped raining yet.:sad1:
We started the day at 45 and now we are at 39 and still going down, of course the wind makes it feel a lot colder when I am out with the pups.
Luckily they dont like the cold either so they are fast about taking care of business;)

With all the rain now the tiny ants are creeping in. I hate ants. I smash them all but of course that really doesnt get rid of them. But with dogs its hard to use poison. I will have to try something up out of the pups reach or we will be over run soon. I never keep food out and everything is either in a can, plastic with a lid or a zip lock baggie, so they're not getting food. Just a dry warm place to stay.
Crazy Pixie had one crawling on her leg and she looked so distressed and upset but didnt know what to do about it..:lmao: So I smashed it and she immeditaly jumped up and started licking my hand and wagging her tail. You'd of thought I had cured a terrible pain or something:rotfl2:

Greg, I am sending this rain on to you, of course it will be snow by the time you get it.:cool1:
