Good morning.

Kathy, I was expecting to see 11 days and counting this morning?!

Its dark and overcast this morning...looks like it could rain anytime.

On our RCCL cruise thread we're putting together a gift exchange and "cabin crawl"? I guess we go around to the different category cabins to see what they're like? Sounds like several people are interested in seeing our cabin because we have a family suite.

Not much else going on around here. I've got to run over to the school and vote on the bond election, so they can build a new high school.

We have a cabin crawl on our 2010 cruise too. I didnt sign up to have our room shown because I havnt a clue what Cat it will be. Just guarantee Cat 11. Hoping for a free upgrade

The cabin crawl sounds interesting. I guess we'll have to keep our cabin clean for it.

I was wondering why Jeff hadn't been by for a while, but I heard he was banned from the DIS board by the moderators? I wonder what he did to deserve that?

Ok Greg is went snooping on Jeff's cruise and this is what i leanred.

Jeff is posting now but was banned for 1 week as punishent for disagreeing with a moderator. He still cant send or receive PM's as part of his punishment.

I have no idea what the issue was but it must of been pretty bad to cause such a problem. I hope things work out good for him and this just blows over fast. After all his crusie is just a couple of weeks after I come back.

I figure Jeff is a level headed intelligent person so if he had a beef with a moderator he had a darn good reason.

well the sun is finally out now that its time for it to set.
60 today which was nice. I finished the last 2 suitcaes today and washed all the clothes I thought we might need. Tonight we will decide for sure what to take, the rest I will store again until after the cruise.
Tomorrow I will iron most of the clothes. They will get wrinkled when they are packed but at least we will start out wrinkle free.

I have a travel size Downey wrinkle release. My DS used it a lot and says it works good, so I will take that with us.

Hoping to print off our decals for shirts tonight too, so I can do them tomorrow and be done with it.

My computer is acting up alot, so tonight Greg is going to set up for a defrag and check it out more.

I have cleaned up as many files as i could too, hoping that may help it.

Well another day almost over. That means one more day closer to our next vacations!!

I've been watching airfares into the Miami area for our cruise in March and WOW are they pricey!!

They're twice as high as I paid just two months ago to fly into Orlando!!

I sure hope Southwest or one of the airlines drops fares a little bit.....or else I'll have to pull extra money from our shore excursion fund to pay the airfare!

Greg if your patient and keep watching you may catch a good buy. Airlines seem to change almost daily up and down.
Also it may be cheaper to fly to Orlando or Tampa then rent a car and drive to Miami?? I know that takes longer but it might be worth thinking about if you have the extra time to drive a ways.
Flights have just been released for my 2010 cruise and people are really watching for any sale at all. Its all they are talking about right now.

For us Disney is booking our flights so we dont have to hassle with it. I know it will cost a bit more but less stress for us going that far. If the plane is a bit late they will wait or get you to the next port if you book through them.

From here to Orlando we book ourselves but going to Spain they can heave the responsiblilty.

Well i have all the cruise clothes organised for both of us and washed, now today I will iron them all. Plus i have the decals made on the iron on transfer paper to make our shirts today. I think it will take me 2 days to iron everything. I dont have an ironing board here to use. So I have to put towels on the table to protect it then lean way over to iron clothes.

So I will porbably take 2 days to do this!!

Cold and foggy today with some sun breaks later today, rain coming tomorrow.

Good morning Kathy!

Yeah, I looked at flying into Orlando and Tampa also, but so far nothing is on sale!

Where its spring break week, I'm thinking that any sales they have for that week will happen before Christmas?...or may of already happened!

I looked at having RCCL take care of our flight, but their prices were insane!

Our school bond election passed last night, so they're going to start construction on the new 45 million dollar high school this spring. Chayce will start high school in the new building in 2011!

Hi all


Very busy here at work......I hate the flu season......the phone call's are crazy here....trying to get caught up on my work.....working tomorrow till 10am then I have computer training (new system) and off the rest of the day....working saturday 8-11am then monday and Tuesday I leave for colroado.......I cannot wait to go......I really need to get away from here.


Kathy.....I'm so jealous that your leaving on this cruise.....I cant believe its been 11 months since we were all together on our cruise.....boy time really goes fast.

I was just thinking the other day that it would be really fun to have a Nana reunion cruise next year! I was sure hoping that the new ship was going to do 7 day cruises, but I'm not really surprised that it's going to take over the 3-4 nights. Disney makes more money on the 3-4 night cruises then they do the 7 nighters.

Denise have fun in Colorado and get a new photo for us to see

On the 29th they will announce the itenaries for the new ship. I am hoping they will do a different port besides Nassau or maybe do Key West instead. I know it has to be close for a 3 or 4 day cruise.
Plus the Wonder did do a few 5 day cruises, maybe the new ship will do some of those and go somewhere different.
We will consider all of that before deciding about our 2011 vacation for sure.

If people decide to do B to B, 3 and 4 day cruises we may do a 3 day then spend the other days touring things in Orlando or go back to St. Augustine for a few days. So we can at least say hello.

Of course those 11 and 14 day Holland America keep calling my name too??

Plenty of time to decide for sure.

well I got our shirts made and all of Gregs clothes ironed.
Now after lunch I will just have to iron my clothes for the trip.

I am already sick of ironing!! Maybe I should go with the frumpy look this year I'm kind of a frumpy person anyway

Whew!!

Well I'm feeling much better now!

We had a bit of a scare this past week. Janel's company got a new director of nursing and she decided she was going to implement a new rule stating that no one can take vacations longer then 7 days at a time?!

Needless to say when Janel came home and told me I was fit to be tied! We had already planned and booked our 10 day Panama canal cruise in March and the 12 day Mediterranean cruise just before Christmas next year. She was making this policy effective Jan. 1 which meant we would have to cancel all our vacation plans for next year!

Janel has been with her company for quite while and gets about 4 weeks of paid vacation per year. While taking 4 vacations a year sounds appealing we still like to do 2 week vacations now and then....especially if we have to buy airfare for all 6 of us to get there.

We scheduled a meeting with her new boss this afternoon to discuss the new policy. While my first instinct was to chew her up from one side to the other.....my mother always taught me that you catch more flies with honey then you do vinegar. Well, as politely as possible we made our case against the cons of having such a policy given the seniority my wife has with the company. She agreed and decided not to implement the new rule......I also bribed her which may of influenced her decision also?!

Glad it all worked out. I have always believed if your entitled to 4 weeks you should be able to take them in any order you want as long as you give plenty of notice.

Where Greg works he doesnt give paid vacations, how ever since Greg has saved his company for him and is the one who brings in all the business he lets Greg take vacation and with pay when he wants. He hasnt even set a limit on days. This year we will have taken 3 weeks of paid vacation. Thats his way of telling Greg he appreciates his work. So we are thrilled with that

Yeah, sometimes those wheels just need is a little greese huh?

Now that all that mess is behind us I can now buy our airfare to Miami. It looks like we can fly out of Jackson Hole Wyoming cheaper then flying out of SLC.

That will be nice because Jackson Hole is only about an hours drive from our house and Salt Lake is a little over 3 hours.

That's really nice that Greg's boss gives him paid vacation time. It always nice to feel appreciated!

Well, I'm taking my wife out to eat at the steak house tonight to celebrate!
