Sunday, Our first day at Sea

After sleeping quite well we awoke to our first day at sea. Well Charming awoke and tried valintly to awake me in time for coffee, but this Princess was having none of it. After finally arising and trying desperatly to wake 2 preteen boys, we were rwady for our day. The boys were gone to meet up with 3 young ladies (I call them that because I am a princess, but as a mom, well.....) that they met from Canada. My guess is that we will see them at dinner. Charming and I are off to brunch at Palo, and after 5 DCL this is a must do. The King and Queen join us for brunch this morning and its a first time for the King. I believe he enjoyed it, but being the King he doesn't say much, unlike Charming. He loved brunch and trust me when they say its all you can eat, Charming takes them at their word. We had a great table near a window and were surrounded by other DIS members, Linda Shell, TB, Mutt ,Yippyskippy, Runa and of course DBW and Denise, who we ran into everywhere on the boat. Actually when Charming wasn't with me he was with Shell, who became known as the other wife while on the ship, so I guess that makes her a Princess to. Princes Woo spent a great deal of time entertaing Charming(Thank you, by the way,gf)

After brunch we strolled around and Charming caught a movie and I spent some quiet time chatting with Dis family we had run into.
This afternoon was Martini Tasting, Charming, Princess Woo and myself had quite a grand time. Its definetly worth the 15.00. As a matter of fact we were all feeling that the boat suddenly didn't rock so much.

Charming, being Charming

Now it was time for Formal Night, we arrived back at our stateroom and the boys were already dressed and ready for dinner, mind you there was enough cologne to help all the men on our floor, but they looked great. Since this was our 5th cruise i decided to wear a short dress for comfort. We had a great time at dinner and then I decided (and being the Princess, got my way) that I wanted a family picture in font of the tree. Now mind you so did half the boat, we waited about an hour and had our picture taken. Charming had one teeney upset moment when I decided the next night that I did not like the picture and chose not to buy it. He mumbled for a while something about an hour wait, but wiselt chose to recall that the Princess is always right in her world. We saw the Golden Mickey's and then let the boys go off with their friends, since we planned on doing the same thing

DS on formal night

We met up with some DIS friends, Tonya and Trey, Princess Woo and Mutt, at Diversions and had a great time. It was so much fun getting to know the people you had been chatting with for a year.
Well way past my usual bedtime, Charming and I were off to slumber for tomorrow is another day.

Next, Second sea day

Thanks for adding more to your report.
I loved all the pictures too!!

reading your report makes me feel like I am back on the ship again!!
I agree that meeting all the dis folks was one of the best parts of the trip. They are all so awesome !!! Of course I cant say that to a couple of them or they will rub it in for the next year!! :lmao:
Honestly, a great group of people who were all strangers the first day and came away like family by the end of the cruise.

I will be waiting for some more report, hopefully very soon.
You dont want me to have to get out the WHIP again?? :rotfl2:
So dont take too long,

Kathy

The DIS People WERE the highlight of the trip - them (I mean Y'all!) and fairygodmothering . . and Drew!

Monday- second day at sea

As we continue in our journey, it is the second sea day. Charming awakes early, he should have because do to the large amount of snoring done last night, he slept well. But I digress, Charming awakes early and goes for coffee with the King, they also have breakfast together, since breakfast tends to be served at an ungodly hour this Princess usually passes. But Charning returns with coffee for me and we try to wake the boys. Now remembering they are teenagers this takes awhile.

Once we are all up and ready we set the ground rules for the day, the boys must meet us back at noon since we have a gingerbread house scheduled.
King and Queen decide to see a movie and Charming and I stroll the deck, we as usual run into numerous DIS family and being the social butterflies we are, we must stop and chat and drool over baby Drew. At 11 we have DIS ladies meet, which I can only briefly stay for, since we wanted to check out the Castaway Club Event, we had heard that it was changed and wanted to see the differences. I personally liked it better at night, during the day they only had pastries and some MM shaped rice Krispies treats. It just seemed like a nicer event at night. Kathy from the DIS boards did win a clock so it was fun to see her.

After a quick lunch at Parrot Cay, with King and Queen, Charming heads off to relax(i.e. drink and lay back ) while the Queen and I take the boys to the Gingerbread house event. We had a great time and there were all age groups there.

We had dinner in Parrot Cay that night and as usual the boys headed off to meet up with their new friends, actually we spied them with the girls at the showing of Twice Charmed following dinner. This was the first time we had seen the show and since I was a huge fan of Hercules i was not quite sure I would like it but I did wind up enjoying, I think it was a Princess to Princess thing.
Charming and I spent the rest of the evening with friends at Diversions and again stayed up way past my usual bedtime, but went back to our stateroom happy and blissful after a great day at sea.

Tomorrow St Maarten.

Thank for adding to your report. Keep it coming!! It makes it seem like I am there all over again.
Love the fun memories,

Kathy

:) Ok Wendy, ya need to keep the report going.....its bringing back such great memories......
