Hi everybody! Sort of busy day here. Went for a long workout at the gym today, then laundry, then my mom came to town for the day because I wanted to take her out for a birthday lunch, shopped a bit with her, then picked up Tyler from his dad's, he got to spend a little time visiting with her, and now I can finally sit down and relax. :goodvibes Gonna go catch up on my other cruise meet thread and head to sleep soon. :thumbsup2

Good morning everyone,

No news here, just keeping us bumped up.

have a great day,:thumbsup2
Good morning! :goodvibes

It was supposed to be in the 60s and sunny today, but we woke up to a thunderstorm. It's pouring and dark. I hope everything dries up though because Tyler wants to help me put our Easter bunny decorations in the yard. :thumbsup2 And there are tons of weeds I should pull from around the daffodils already starting to come up. And there are 3 big piles of leaves I didn't get to before snow fell.....they're calling my name! Busy day if everything dries up.

Hi Holly,
well I got you beat, suppose to hit 80 today here and I do think it will make it with no problem. it is 70 at 9 a.m.

Probably going to go to a movie or the flea market today. I have to look and see what is playing near by, then decide.

Kathy, you win! It's only 49 still....but the rain stopped and sun came out, so hopefully it will warm up. Supposed to be 65 today. I'm sure we'll get outside soon after we let our lunch settle. :thumbsup2

It was just bee-u-ti-ful here today ... 60s, blue skies, sun *sigh*. We should have a good week temperature-wise, though quite a bit of rain. That's OK, I'll take the rain over the "S" word!

So today was kind of a domestic day ... got a couple of closets cleaned out, made a couple of big bags for Amvets, did some stuff around the flower beds, make cole slaw and stuffed cabbage ... whew! And of course Bill is doing his latest cake. Can't wait for that one so we can take a pic and post. Did I ever post the last one? I don't think so. Here it is ... The Jungle Cake:

OH MY GOSH! That's an amazing cake! I saw the picture before I started reading your post and wondered what it was....figured it was some sort of knick-knack type thing. I never would have imagined there's a cake in that jungle! SO COOL!

Shell,
tell Bill he did another awesome job!!!
before he knows it he will have a big port folio to show people of what he can do.

Howdy everyone,
well we have our summer early this year, suppose to be low 80's all week.
It feels so good!!

We went to see Wild Hogs this weekend. I liked it. It had alot of humor in it.It was certainly NOT the best show of the year, but well worth seeing once.

well today is a quiet day, going to catch up on my ironing, vacuuming, and such. FUN FUN DAY!!!

Bill, its a good thing I love ya man, cause I would be sooooooo jealous. That is a great cake

That's an amazing cake! Wow!

Holly, my husband thought the same thing!

I think a cake crosses that line towards true work of art when you can't even tell it's a cake! I keep looking at the picture because it's so cool! :thumbsup2

I am finally coming out of my winter misery. Sunshine, 72 degrees and a nice breeze will do that. Hope everyone is doing well and I'm sorry I haven't been keeping up. This silly thing called work has me going nuts. Also had a HUGE problem with the domain hosting service that was hosting my website and providing me with my business email accounts and I just had to make a switch. That meant that biz email was down for about 48 hours (a scary scary time for an entrepreneur) but alls well that ends well as my new service works SO much better.

Not much new in our neck of the woods as everyone in the house is doing well (knock wood). Emily got her big girl bed a couple of weeks ago and has stopped falling out of it :scared1: and really loves it.

We are heading to WDW in late May so it's time to start planning the things we haven't planned yet (like everything). Still seems like forever b4 we sail again. Hope none of you fall off your verandahs like that couple on the Princess ship!

Good to hear from you! I still cant believe those people fell off the ship???i mean look at the walls around you, how do you fall off a ship??:confused3
They had to be doing something stupid!!!

At least they survived!! hope they will learn a lesson.:thumbsup2

So here's something really creepy: Yesterday, when we went in the back yard to play for about 15 minutes, as Tyler climbed up the rock wall part of his playset to the covered platform part to sit, I saw a plastic cup up there and grabbed it to move it out of the way before he knocked over and spilled whatever might be in it. I was picturing mud or something that would spill down the slide and then he'd be too grossed out to slide. As I grabbed the cup, I made the mistake of looking inside of it out of curiosity. There was a DEAD MOUSE lying in some unidentifyable goop (I didn't look close enough to determine what it was after seeing the mouse) AND there was a plastic lighter lying next to the cup. This was all sitting up on the platform where a couple of kids can sit and pretend to drive, etc. So I'm wondering WHO THE HECK was in my backyard, and WHEN?! Since last fall, we've only been out there once and that was maybe two weeks ago, and the stuff wasn't there then. I know I didn't put it there because I don't own a lighter and don't even have any plastic cups like that. All the neighbors surrounding our back yard are elderly, so it wasn't them. So somebody walked up my driveway to my fence, opened the gate which is right next to my bedroom, and went in my backyard to do who knows what!

Isn't that creepy?

Holly, that is creepy.
i think I would do a good search of my yard before letting your son out there and maybe change the lock on your gate. Put a bell down low where who ever wont see it, but it will make noise when opened, maybe you will know when it is being opened and catch them.
You could put up a beware of dog sign and get one of those recording of a mean dog barking to trun on when you heard someone.

Shell, I agree with your post:lmao:

Great ideas. A lock is already on my list for this week. This must have happened sometime when I was gone overnight because I'm such a light sleeper, and the gate is just outside my bedroom window, I definitely would have heard somebody coming through it. It's really hard to open, so it would have made lots of noise. Creepy.
