Welcome back, i am so glad you are ok. I know it sounds awful but people can have car accidents or illnesses that take them away from these boards and I alway hope that is NOT the reson for someone to disappear.
I feel better knowing your ok.

I wish a few others would stop by and give us a quick post so we know they are ok too.

I have been preparing for my next cruise on 11/25 Eastern and Christine is preparing for a vacation in a few days in Hawaii. Kay has not posted for several days, not sure what she is up to.

Did you see the cute puppy pictures!! I love puppies!!! They were so cute!!

Your schedule sounds like my DD's schedule. She works with special needs kids at school, volunteers as a activity director for school carnivals and events all year long, has a campfire troup that is busy all year long. They just got back from a weekend camping trip, she has 2 kids (12 and 15). She and the kids volunteer at the kids museum and many city events,carnivals and fairs and such, plus there is the Library events they help with and participate in all year long too, plus alot more. I dont know where you ladies find the energy!!!
You will be ready for a vacation when this cruise arrives!!

Morning to all,
we have a beautiful warm day today, suppose to be 77. That is a nice temperature.
Still drawing a blank on my last door sign. Guess it will another day of starring at a blank page. Maybe I will just put it away for a few days and then try again.
Hope everyone has a great day today. Just a little over a year to go.
at the one year mark I may make a countdown chain.

Well, today is my super Friday(last day of work before a vacation) I am very very excited. Don't know how much work I will actually get done today but I'm going to try. I have been working all week to clean up my desk and finish up all the little things I always put off

I have nails, toes, waxing and last minute shopping followed by picking up my Mom from the airport tomorrow, that's why I took an extra day off.

Weather here has been great. It was 83 yesterday, it feels more like spring than fall. I am looking forward to it getting cold, maybe when we get back the weather will change.

Ok off to work, I will check in tomorrow since it will be my last time for at least a week.

Howdy Christine,
I hope you know that i expect a trip report when you return. I have never been to hawaii, but my brother was stationed there for 2 1/2 years, he loved it!!!

I hadnt thought about using Minnie, but i think I could get her to wear my mouse ears on for a picture which would be really cute!! Good idea, I will study on the idea today.

I mailed off some presents today to DD's and families that live in Oregon. Only need to get something for my MIL and my mom. Then I will be all done with the last of my shopping for family that is far away. I like to mail things before Thanksgiving, people here I wont rush about buying for.

That is what I have been up to today.

Gonna shampoo carpets tonight, furniture too.

Hello cruisin' friends!!

Happy Thursday (also know as super Friday to some)

My daughter Tiffany (14 at time of cruise) is planning to start two websites for this group.

The first will be for everyone (with names, DIS names, ages (optional), room numbers, seating times, excursions planned, etc.). The second will be for the kids 0-18 (with names, favorite activities, movies, books, websites, etc.) more of a "getting to know you so we will already be fast friends when we meet" kind of thing. Is this fine for everyone? Or has anyone else already started a website?

Also, I was wondering if it is too early to be thinking of a graphic (for shirts, etc.)? I have become quite a "whiz" at designing customized shirts for my crew (and they love me enough ... thank goodness ... to actually tolerate wearing matching shirts for the welcome aboard photo!!). I could post our group image to Zazzle and then everyone would be able to go online at their convenience to order any items they might like (tshirts, sweatshirts, babydoll tshirts, jerseys, mugs, tote bags).

The reason to consider "rushing this along" a bit would be to have the items available for Christmas gifts. If this option is not important to everyone, we can do it closer to departure time. What do you think?

Oh my!! The wind is really starting to pick up!! I need to go out and secure some of our lawn furniture and the kids toys. I will check back later.

Hi Karen,
Tell DD that there are No other website for thus cruise, so I say More power to her !!! Go for it!!
On past cruises we have always had a site with everyones info on it and it was really nice.
For kids it is great to get them involved. Most seem to use the private messaging on this site once they connect on a web site, which is great.
We dont have any kids or grandkids with us this trip, but that could change, we never know til the time gets closer.
Maybe since your DD will be the one starting these sites she could also be in charge of making sure every new person who posts is told about the sites too!! After a few months we may tend to forget about telling new people.

Ok for matching shirts, that is always fun, but for me it would be done 3 or 4 months prior to cruising. I just finished buying shirts for my cruise later this month, they are great!! but as more people began posting we had more and better design ideas, so it was worth waiting for.
If you have any specific ideas on designs, please share, it is never too soon to start looking at ideas!!

We are all going to wear our shirts the first day so we can spot each other in the terminal, plus we will wear them to the dis meet too. they are a bright lime green (official dis board color).
It all sounds like fun to me!!

Have DD let me know when she is ready for all our info and I will pass it on to her to post. This is a great way to get to know each other for all ages.

Checking in one last time. I have been watching my mother's flight for the past hour and she is still in line to take off that is the worst being stuck on a plane just waiting after you thought we were leaving on time. I wish she would have called us but I know she is too scared to turn on her phone while she is on the plane It's her first time flying alone.
My sister and I are picking her up from the airport so we will keep watching the web site so we know when she is going to land. Fortunately the airport is only 10 minutes from ours house.

Just dropped Stitch off at the Vet, where we will stay all week it very sad leaving him there since he will be all alone he used to always have pompom but there is no one that can watch him. At least the next time we will be with KC.

Karen cool about your DD staring a web site, let us know as soon as it up and running.

OK gotta go finish packing, don't worry I will have a full report with lots of pictures when I get back.

Happy "SUN"day everyone!!

I have been the gardening slave master all week and this weekend. Actually I am happy to do most of the work today ('cuz I am having fun), but kids and DH have been great about some of the dirty work cleanup and making sure I have iced tea filled and close at hand.

The kids and I put up a shed this week (10x7) and DH got home just in time to get the roof on.

Today I am laying garden border bricks. Everything is slowly but surely looking nice.

I keep thinking we will have some sort of winter weather, but it has been in the 80's most of the week. UGH!! That is too hot for November. I want to at least get down to upper 60's as our high (so we can still play outside and have fun, but not be sweating).

I will be outside for the rest of the day but will try to check in a bit later tonight.

Hi Karen,
I love the brick borders.
we are going to put them around our front flower beds and 2 palm trees by the end of the driveway, but it wont be until later this winter. It is a large area and I want to replace the ugly plants they put in when they built the house too.
DH did fix up the back yard this weekend. it really looks nice with all the new red mulch around the ool deck and back trees.

we went and saw Flushed Away today, it was cute, I enjoyed it.

Tuesday morning we are going to be down in the 40's, but still warn during the days. Of course that is the one morning I have a 7 a.m. appointment.
Guess I will have to put on long pants that day.

it is cool here this morning, but suppose to be nice later on.
But I will have to wear my jeans when I take minnie for her walk this morning.
All the other mornings i have worn my shorts.

also have to get a few groceries this morning.
But for the most part it should be a pretty quiet day around here.
I hope Christine and her DH are having a wonderful time in Hawaii today!!!
