Hi Kay,
all drydocks are for 2 weeks. She just went into drydock after returning from a cruise that ended last Thursday. ;)

When we were on her in May we kept hearing a loud squeaky noise once in awhile, later we found out that one of the propellers had been damaged. It was usable, but just barely, they said it couldnt be fixed and during drydock it would have to be replaced, that will be a big and expensive job to be done.

Just took Minnie for our first walk. :woohoo: DH always takes her at night, but I have never done that. She did really well, I think she was in shock when i took out the leash. Than after we rested up I took her for a ride to Walgreens. I go through the drive thru and they always give her a milk bone. :dogdance: so she had a double treat today. a walk and a ride, all before noon.
Then I gave her a new chew stick. Now she is napping. She is all tuckered out by all the excitement. :cloud9:

well gotta go, I will check back later,
Kathy

Ahhh to have a dog's life. Sounds like Minnie has a really good Mommy and Daddy. She is one lucky pup.

Thanks for the cool picture Kathy. I know the ships go into dry dock every 2 years. Do you think the Magic will go into dry dock right before our cruise? That would be cool. I know they always add stuff to make the ship better.

I am trying to think of a way to surprise my husband with 4-night cruise before our 7-night I just don't think I will be able to pull it off. I would love to go right after Memorial Day. I will have to look into pricing. I wish they would hurry up and build a third ship so we could have one in CA. We may just be able to go to Disneyland for a few days instead.

I asked him if he still wanted to go to Italy for his 40th birthday but he is leaning more towards a Disney Cruise. I'm happy because that's a lot less flying (I am pertrified of flying). I would want to surprise him and have his family meet us. I know it's far way but to pull something like this off will take a lot of time and $$. His parents are coming for Christmas so I will put a bug in their ear about it.

Gotta go back to work. I'll try to check in later.

Next October should be drydock for the Magic. I saw where soemone posted it wasnt going to do it next year because of all the major things done last year, but I dont believe it!!
Even without major things they always do a thorough cleaning, painting, new carpets, replace old chairs, refurbish all wooden floors, replace old bathroom fixtures. With all the constant use there is always massive things to do every 2 years. So I am sure they will just come out of drydock the month before we sail.

I am with you, I am scared to death to fly!!!! :scared1:
I have done it, but I hate it and I am in terrible shape by the time we arrive at our destination. :scared:

will check back later,
Kathy

I try not to let flying stop me from traveling but man the days before I get on a plane are pretty bad. I usually need to be medicated to get on a plane. I am a wreck until we are on the ground and off the plane. I try to only fly twice a year any more than that and I think I am really tempting fate.

We were almost on page 2, so i thought I would just drop in and say Good night.
I will check back in the morning to see how everyone is doing.

Come on people, for those of you who havnt posted for weeks now, at least let us know your still with us?? Are you still alive???

You know who you are, come on now, I am not that mean or crazy that I should scare you off. :rolleyes1 Well I'm a little crazy, but not too bad :rotfl2: Please let us know your still with us. :wave2:

Kathy

well enjoy your day people, :woohoo: I will check back later.

Kathy

Good Morning!

Boy it's been a busy couple days. I sure haven't been on the boards as much as I'd like.

Tonight we're taking my ds to teen night and while he's there we'll probably do some shopping and have a late dinner. It's the first event of this kind that he's attended, so I'm hoping he enjoys himself.

If it doesn't rain tomorrow, I want to take the kids out to the pumpkin patch before we run errands. Then on Sunday I'm headed over to my parents house.

Kathy - You're planning on going to Epcot, right? As my kids have gotten older, that the park they seem to prefer. Me - I'm all about the Magic Kingdom :)

Hi Kay,
The Magic Kingdom is my favorite park too!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

DH likes Epcot best. But right now Epcot is having the food and wine festival which is a lot of fun. :dance3:
Our oldest son may go there too and meet us, if he wants to got to a different park, we will go where he wants. but he likes Epcot best too.

I love the Philharmagic 3D show at MK. Donald :donald: is my favorite character.
I will let you know where we wind up going to. Not sure if it will be saturday or sunday. :confused3 I love going early on Sunday when the parks first open because you have the place to yourself for a couple of hours which is really nice at MK. we can do a lot of rides in those 2 hours.

Well I am gong to put on The 2nd apple dumpling gang movie while I have my lunch. I love those old disney movies.

Kathy

Happy Friday everyone

Kay are you getting a lot of rain? I saw on the news today your area is getting a nor-easter. Those aren't fun. We had one in NY before I moved and everything was flooded.

We actually had rain here yesterday but we love it. I saw the most amazing rainbow on my home from work. I tried to get a good picture of it on my phone's carmera but it did't come out that good:
rainbow2.jpg

It was a full rainbow and I swear the sky was gold. Everyone was talking about it at work. I wanted to follow it and see if I could find the gold but it was late...maybe next time :rotfl:

My favorite park at WDW has always been the Magic Kingdom but since I have been going to Disneyland I find I like Epcot more. I guess because I can go to the Magic Kingdow anytime I want now. However, we don't have philharmagic and I have to say that is my favorite attraction in all of WDW.

What is everyone favorite attaction/ride at WDW?

Philharmagic is first but a close second is It's a small world. I can't go to WDW with going on it at least once. I know, I know most people think I'm crazy but I love it.

Have you been on small world at WDW since they re -did it?? I hear they really spruced it up nicely, but the lines have been very long everytime we have been by there, so I havnt seen for myself yet.

It is so hard to pick a favorite!

I guess The Haunted Mansion is #1
followed closely by Pirates of the caribbean and Philharmagic. :goodvibes

It is just too hard to choose!!! to many good ones to think about.
Maybe it would be safer to say my favorite ride is the one I am on at the time?? :lmao: I know that's cheating. :rolleyes1

If you've been on the haunted mansion have you seen the hidden Mickey in the scene where they are dancing around the table having a birthday party I think, one ghost does appear and blow out candles, so I assume that is what the party is all about.
Anyway on the table is a very obvious hidden Mickey.
Have any of you seen it??
If not I can describe where it is if you want. Dont know if DL has it too, but WDW has it. The dishes on the table are the same design as mine, called an english castle, pink and white. That gave me a weird feeling after I bought my dishes to see them there!!!

well have a good evening, i will check back and see what rides are everyones favorites, I am curious now that you posed the question.

Kathy

:thumbsup2 I liked the picture of the rainbow! :thumbsup2

I think it came out very good for being taken on a phone camera while driving. You can see it very easily.
I love rainbows, we dont get to see many here, not enough rain, too much sunshine. Thanks for sharing.

kathy

Hi,
ok on another thread I posed the question, what was the weirdest food you have ever tired? Or someone you know if you dont have personal experience with it.

Boy I got some great answers. :rolleyes1
so now I am asking you ladies, what is the weirdest food you have ever tried.

I guess chicken gizzards as a kid, then crawdad, pickled pigs feet. :thumbsup2
I am not very adventurous I guess.
My dad loved to catch, kill and eat rattlesnake when he was on the farm.

I am curious to see what we come up with on this thread.

Kathy

When did they redo IASW. I was on it last December. Didn't notice much difference but that's could be because they redid it in DL too. I haven't seent he hidden Mickey in the HM. Tell me where to look so I can see if they have it at DL too.

I have never eaten anything to crazy. My Mom used to love pickled pigs feet :yuck: On our honeymoon my husband tried aligator pate. He said it tasted like...ham (I bet you thought I was going to say chicken :rotfl: )

Hi everyone!

We just got back from the teen night and my ds seemed to enjoy it. He wants to go again next month :)

Christine - It's been pouring since last night and now it seems to be letting up. It's windy and cold - definitely feels like winter. Bah!

I love the raindow - it's not often you get to see a double rainbow!

I'm not sure I have a favorite ride. I really like all the changes made to POC. The teacups, IASW, Tiki Room are all "must do's". Outside of the MK, my favorite ride is Tower of Terror.

Weirdest food? Hmm, I'm not very brave when it comes to trying new foods. My dh once tried chocolate covered ants. He said they didn't have much of a taste - just the thought of them was terrible. :p

Goodnight. I'll try and check in tomorrow.

Good Morning~

Still raining here, but hopefully it will stop as the day goes on. We're off to the pumpkin patch and to get Halloween costumes. Should be a fun day!

Have a great day everyone!

Just got back from Epcot . we went to the food and wine festival.
It was a good day, not too hot.

The hidden Mickey in on the table, it will be the last place setting on the left as you face it. The dinner plate with 2 little plates on the left and right of it form the hidden Mickey. Once you know where to look it i seasy to see it.

well my tootsies are tired, so I will check back later,

Kathy

Good night everyone,
hope you had a good saturday. :cloud9:

No plans for tomarrow, although we will need to get a new VCR. we have a dual player and now the VHS side wont eject the tapes, and DH had to rip most of the top off to get the tape out. So now we need to get another one.

well I'll check back tomarrow,

Kathy

Happy Sunday everyone,

well we are off to Walmart to look for a new VCR, 2 pairs of pants for DH, socks, red mulch for yard work and some

Isnt that exciting. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Will check back later with everyone.
I need one more outfit for our cruise next month too, not sure if it will be a nice pant suit or a skirt and blouse, but I need something.

Kathy

Good Morning,

Kathy, don't you just love Wal-Mart everything in one place. Do you have the super Wal-Mart's by you, the ones with a supermarket? Only thing about Wal-Mart is you can't walk out of there without spending lots of $$$$, same thing at Target too.

Do you always get something new to wear each cruise? I did get a lot of new stuff for the cruise last year but I am bringing most of it to Hawaii so it wasn't a waste of money. I'm also hoping I can bring some if it on this cruise. The only thing I want to get is a formal dress and a new bathing suit. Other than that I shouldn't have to buy anything else.

We went to an Art Festival yesterday. I did get a Christmas Gift so it was worth taking the trip to Boulder City. There were a lot of people there. I guess they have had it for over 40 years. I think I will go next year too. The only problem was the parking. We had to park several blocks away. At least it has finally cooled down here. 80's with almost no humidity, just perfect.

Not much planned today. Have to get my morning Starbucks then I am going get a fake and bake tan to get ready for Hawaii so I don't burn and maybe stop at JC Penny's to see what's on sale there. My DH has to work this morning so I can get all my stuff done and since the Yankees are out of the play-offs :guilty: we might just to go the movies tonight to see Jacka$$.

Hey I was on youtube last night and they have a bunch of DCL home videos. They were great, I got the hear that wonderful horn. You should check if out if you get a chance. Just search for Disney Cruise Line and you will get a bunch of hits.

OK I am going to see if I could see the Wonder on the Web Cam. Have a good Sunday :Pinkbounc
