you people have wayyyy too much time on your hands. (keep me updated, I want to swim with the dolphins in cozumel).

1. all carved

3. all buttercreamed
4. in process of creating the presentation boards...I should be starting to fondant by 11 or 12.
5. this is too much like work but its keeping me on my toes, AND it pays for the dolphin thingee. So far, a few problems but its working out--cross the fingers.

Good Morning All:

I though I would post on both boards as some people are worried that we are frozen down here. Yah we are, but like Shell said my Grandmother’s house has power. My parents along with me, Trey, Hunter, Pike (our dog), Sassy (their dog) and the two crabs (bug and Cletus) are hanging in there. Its been a blessing to have warm food at night and a warm bed to sleep in. The highs here for the last two days have been in the 20’s or teens and the temps at night have been around 0. No need to have a refrigerator when God provides you one. The house is fully furnished so we aren’t really roughing it, like other people in the area. Some towns are without water because their wells are on electricity, while most of Nixa (south of us) is without power and water. We have had service crews from Massachusetts, Arkansas, Kansas and all over come to help out and we appreciate their help. When I drive by a service crew I make sure to roll down the ice covered window and tell them thanks for all their hard work.

Thanks for thinking of us, we expect to be out of our house for at least another week, if not more. I went to the house this morning and found out some pipes burst over night and we still have not electricity. So things are not perfect, but we are better than a lot of people.

Tonya, I am glad to hear that you guys are at least surviving right now. You are definitely in our prayers. Lisa and I have thought about you a lot over the last few days as we have watched the news and weather. Keep us updated when you have the opportunity!

Two cakes, Bob....one is due tommorow and the other is due Friday...its a mad scamble to make it all look professional... and to give it WOW
Its a lot tougher than I thought but its going very well!!

Tonya...we're thinking of you folks....I hope it wont be too long before you have everything back in order. It makes our few inches of snow a bit trivial compared to what you guys are going through. We all need to move to St. Thomas....lottery...lottery....lottery....or maybe the Donald needs a cake---to pitch at Rosie.

Do you remember the Monkees? Their theme song.....Here we come....just walkin down the street.....getting funniest looks from....everyone we meet....hey hey were the monkees...people say we monkey around.....etc....they can sing that song.

not only do I remember the Monkees, but for Christmas I got a CD of their hits. I still have 33 1/3 record albums of theirs from when I was a teenager.
I saw a couple of their shows on late nigth TV a couple months back, it was such fun to see what I absolutely couldnt miss when I was a kid!!!

Good morning everyone,

Bill, how did the cakes come out???
Pretty quiet around here today. We had rain showers last night which we need desperately, so that was good.
Today is back up to around 80.

Hope the rest of you are getting a break and starting to warm up some and getting your electricity back soon.

Tomarrow we are going to apply for our passports, don't want to wait til the last minute. Even doing that makes it all seem closer.

By the grace of God we have power. Mom and Dad got theirs last night and ours was on when I went home this morning. We are planning on cleaning out refrigerators this evening and spending one more night at Granny’s. We plan to clean the rest of the house tomorrow night (looking for things in the dark = things thrown every where). We have been one of the lucky ones and without your prayers and thoughts, none of this would have been possible. They are expecting 4-6 inches of snow this weekend, and even though by itself that would be a curse, it will be a blessing to have a warm house and sleep in my own bed.

that's great news Tonya. We're happy for you and your family. When I was a kid we went through the same thing - no power for more than a week and thankfully had a relative's house to go to...but wow it was great when we got "home."
