Good morning y'all,

well today I am washing and ironing all our cruise clothes and going to the bank to get out the spending money for the cruise and I am all set.
we are only 40 degrees and with the wind chill it is 30 to 32 outside this morning.
well I've lots to do,
Christine dont work too hard this week. You need to relax to recover from your vacation :rotfl2:

Kathy

Shame on us :guilty:
we were on page 2 again :sad2:

I just read apost where they said the Wonder couldnt dock due to bad weather today. i'll bet there were alot of unhappy people on board that ship!

Sometimes it gets too windy and it is dangerous to try and dock, although I dont know for sure if that was the entire problem.

gotta run and shampoo the furniture. did the carpets last night.
I will have a nice clean house to return to if Minnie doesnt tear everything up while we are gone!!!

Kathy

good morning,
well we had snow flakes during the night last night!!!

That is very rare in Florida, wish I would of been up to see it, but it was too cold!! I was snuggled under the covers and stayed there til 5 a.m.

Today I pack the suitcases for the trip and I am going to give each diser a mickey Christmas card, so gotta fill those out today too.

Our posts are around 5800 on our thread for my cruise and our goal is 6000 and most people are flying out tonight and tomarrow so we are really gonna post a lot today. I told them 10 posts per person or we wont make it.

Our original goal was 5000 which we made, but then Josh challenged us to make 6000, so we are trying!!!

well got lots to do today, I will check back later to see what is happening here today.
Everyone have a great Thanksgiving everyone!!!!!!

Kathy

Time to do the dishes, will check back in the morning,

Kathy

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We ate Turkey and watched Christmas movies it was a very relaxing day, exactly what I needed. Going to put up my Christmas Tree tonight. It's an easy one, pre-lit. I will try to get my whole house decorated by the weekend. I can't believe Christmas is only a month a way (don't we say that every year). More important our cruise is officially 1 year away from today  Let the planning really begin. After the holidays I am going to start looking for a formal dress, I am hoping to find one of the left overs on sale. Well, time to decorate.

Hi. I am totally NEW to this posting (so bear w/ me here), but I am one of 8 families that is cruising with you next 11/24/07! We total 16 adults and 19 kids! This is the FIRST Disney Cruise for all of us, but not the first cruise for some of us.

I want to know ALL ABOUT the Post-Thanksgiving Cruise this year. I've heard it's been unseasonably COLD down there in FL and wondered what the Caribbean is like.

We all booked back in March so now that it's only a YEAR away, we're getting excited! My family booked a Cat 3 room so I am REALLY looking forward to cruising (unlike the time we booked a miniscule room on a RC Cruise...)

jl :cheer2: DH :wizard: DS pirate: 2DD princess: :tinker:

Welcome, :bounce: so glad to have an new family join us. I have been on only one 4-day disney cruise, so I am kind of a newbie too. Kathy is the expert and is actually on DCL as we speak. We have a great group of people so far. It will be so much fun. I will be happy to answer any questions I can for you, Kathy will do the rest. She gets back on Saturday and I am sure she will post a trip report sometime next week. Where are you from and most importantly what is your name? I had originally booked a Cat 3 but it's just my husband and I so we downgraded to a Cat 6. With the money we saved we could get in a few trips to Disneyland and a 4-day cruise out of LA. Looking forward to getting to know you. :woohoo:

Hello there. Was psyched you replied. My name is Joan and I'm from Springsteen Country--Central NJ. Have 3 kids (will be 9,8,5 at time of cruise). One family lives in FL that we're cruising with, but the other 6 are here in NJ, too.

Like I said I KNOW NOTHING about Cruising w/ Disney but our last two vacations were to Disneyworld so my family LOVES DISNEY. I'm the person that was instrumental in getting all these other families on board (pun intended).

I definitely need to know the basics and would love to be able to inform my group. Start looking for Pirate stuff, right? Buy the over-the-door organizer, signs for our doors. Need to know best excursions, etc. Our last cruise we sailed to the Western Caribbean so I'm really psyched to be going East this time.

Joan :shamrock:

Hello Joan :wave2: , I am originally from NY so we used to be neighbors. We would got to Seaside Heights and Great Adventure every summer. That's about the only two places I have been in NJ.

I would say maybe wait until next year to look for pirate stuff only because I know Disney changes a lot. Last year when I booked my cruise by the time I went they had changed all of their activities. I don't think they will do away with pirate night but you never know. However, if you find really cheap prices on pirate stuff you should get it.

If you love Disney, you will love the Cruise. The service is better than any Disney park I have been too. There is such a magical feel to the cruise I can't explain it. My husband and I only took a 4-day last year because we were affraid we would miss WDW too much, we didn't we wish we would have stayed on the ship. There are characters everywhere for the kids (and adults  ) .

We made signs for our doors, at first my husband didn't understand why but once we decorated our door he did. It puts a smile on your face everytime you walk into your room plus it makes it much easier to find. I used the over the door shoe holder and it was great. The only problem I had was that I couldn't close the door, don't know if I was doing it wrong. The other thing I used was a portable shower caddy. I put all my shampoo, conditioner, body wash and soap in there and hung it from the faucet. It was great because there really isn't much room to leave all that stuff in the shower. I also used the power strip and plug in air freshener.

The other thing you may want to start looking for right after the holidays are cheap dressy dresses. I am hoping to find a gown on sale. I have also read that you could get a tux for $100 in JC Penny's, which I will be looking into for my husband. I haven't nothing to compare it to since I have only been on one cruise but most people get really dressed up. It makes for some great pictures.

Don't know if they are the best excusions but as of now we are doing the Golden Eagle Cat and the Capt Nautica's St John Snorkeling. I am also might do the jet ski tour on Castaway Cay.

You must do a brunch in Palo's with all the adults one day. It was one of the best things we did on our last cruise. I know they have a private dining room I think there are enough of you to fill it.

Make sure you get there a day before. I know it's a short flight but with the unpredictable weather in NJ that last thing you want to worry about is getting stuck in a crazy snow storm.

I hope I have help answer some of your questions.
