It's been a loooooooong day. My kids and I finished the roof on the shed today and I got alot more bricks laid ... but I will still need to spend most of tomorrow on the bricks.

Kathy, I am trying to picture you ... and Minnie. I have a "mental image" and will have to wait and see if I am right.

If you look back to page 21 the first post there has apicture of me on priate night with captain jack sparrow. Then you can tell me if your ideas are close or not to how I look??

Karen if you look on page 2 you will see pictures of my dining room it's a little disney.
on page 4 go to posts #56 and #57 and youwill see a couple of the stencils on my pool deck that DH drew free hand.

dont know if I told you we found her in our back yard one evening, she had been abused and starved with bloody feet. we fed her and called the pound to come and get her, but she was so sweet and gentle after all she had been through that 2 days later we adopted her from the pound.
She get traumatized really easy still. You can raise your voice or she drop to the floor and shakes and wont move for hours and you can raise you hand up quickly either.
She is much better than she was. She is not terrified of garbage cans or us anymore. It use to be we couldnt touch her tail but now she knows we wont hurt her and it's ok. She is a loving gentle dog and is great with all the kids in the neighborhood too, which is very unusual for an abused dog.
Now she is a spoiled baby and she has us both wrapped around her little paw.

I noticed a red spot today where she has had an infection before so now I am taking her to the vet today to have her checked out.

well now you can tell me if we look anything like you thought we would look.Others have guessed about me before and all said I dont look anything like they pictured.

Hello guys! I just wanted to stop in and say "Hello!" I cruised with Karen on the Sept. 16-23 Double Dip. I ran into her on another thread and she invited me over. I currently do not have a cruise booked. I have been waiting for summer 2008 to be announced, but she assures me that this is a fun group and we would have a blast. I guess I'm going to have to get some quotes and discuss it with DD. It seems that our vacation plans for 2007 are not going to work out, so this is a definite possibility.

If I decide to cruise, I will look forward to getting know everyone.

I can be a little cruise crazy at times, but I am usually harmelss??
But if you run into anyone who has cruised with me, dont believe what they say, it's not true!!
well maybe it's a little true, but I am an old grandma, so nobody cares if i do crazy things, they just ay I am senile!!!

Good morning everyone,
gonna hot 80 again today. cooler tomarrow.
Not much going on today, just gonna kick back and relax for the day I think and finish up a few projects for my cruise next week and figure out what I am gonna fix for Thanksgiving dinner. i cant have many leftover unless I can freeze it because we leave the day after Thanksgiving.
so it will be kinda tricky this year.

hope someone checks in today to help me keep this bumped up!!

Hi all,

Just checking in for a quick hello.

My son had a birthday party tonight at PumpItUp (a dozen 11-14yr boys in a large room filled with giant inflatables ... boxing ring, obstacle course, basketball court, slides, etc. ... plus air hockey and table games). He had a great time and now is sleeping soundly!!

Tomorrow the kids are leading an Outdoor Skills event from 10am-1pm. The girls will lead groups tying knots, lashing tripods, setting up tents and an outdoor safety game. My son will demonstrate compass use and survival skills.

After that we have a Music Class (I teach music and basic piano for a couple of families along with my kids), then my son has a hockey practice.

After that I will have to get serious about cleaning my house, since my inlaws arrive on Saturday.

I am getting tired just thinking about what I have to do in the next 48hours!!

Hello y'all,
well things are going better today. i am feeling better and the rainis gone, although we really need the rain, especially since we are going into our rainy season now.
Our highs are only around 70 but next week the highs are only in the mid 60's. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr for Florida.

I hope it is better by saturday the 25th. All the people who are cruising with me on saturday are holding me responsible for the weather in Florida . so if it's not sunny I will be in big trouble!!

I was pretty ill yesterday but today is much better. I was afraid i would be sick next week and I didnt want that.

Hope Christine is having an awesome vacation!! I will be anxious to hear all about it when she returns.
well I am off to catch up on all the things I didnt get to do while I was sick yesterday.
Karen I hope to hear from you soon, it is friday and soon you will have sometime off to relax and drop a line here, I hope!

in the 40's this morning.
very cold for Florida and we are suppose to stay that way for most of the week.

None here since we are leaving for vacation on Friday and cruising on saturday.

it is afternoon already!!!
I have been busy getting ready for our cruise next week and completely let the day slip by without checking in today.
