Thanks for the info on drinks...I decided to called our airport...we can buy drinks here after we go through security...however you are not suspose to take liquids onboard any aircraft...I don't think they check though once you clear security...

Kathy-
You can't bring drinks onboard anymore since that incident last year.

We're bringing our portable dvd player. That should keep Alex happy.

Now you can so long as you buy them AFTER going through security.

Thanks Jeff...do your girls go swimming when they first get onboard?

Glen was thinking about taking the girls up and getting some lunch while I try to get ressies...

Kathy or Shell,

With the gift exchange is their away we can say a gift might be really really good for a family with little girls!!!!!!!:wizard:

Terri

Well, I've got to sit down for a while. Worked by tail to the bone... Actually, it's good because tomorrow I've already got the heavy stuff done and work on the easy.

Terri, Wow all 4 of you on meds! Quit kissing each other and wash your hands, get out the Lysol and spray the air and everything!!!!

Is it time to go yet?

No they don't. You know we were all prepared to do that the first cruise but we never got around to it. We got on the ship pretty early, then had lunch at Parrot Cay (we prefer that over Topsiders as it sets a nice tone for the trip). Then we go and visit the kids club and by then our cabin is ready and it's almost time for the meet. Elizabeth LOVES swimming (shes on the swim team here) but on the cruise it is one of the last things she wants to do because there is so much more to do - things she can't do anywhere else. We usually hit the pool 2 or 3 times during the week for short periods of time, but we generally don't design our day around it. It surprised me because we are usually such pool people. But the 3 beach days we are getting will be plenty of time splashing about and getting sun.

Ok. Timing is everything. I just got a significant project from a new client. :cool1: And he wants me to get it done by the end of next week. :scared1: So..either I bust my butt between now and Friday or else I have some work to do on the ship. Time for me to get busy with it. :scared:

That's what is tough about being self-employed..Good luck. Hope you are productive!

Maybe so, all I know is 2 months ago we flew out of OIA in Orlando to Portland oregon and at least 1/3 of the people had drinks and food they were carrying onto the plane, us included.

we also got pop at our layover in denver and brought on the plane, no problem.

kathy

We always just drink the free pop they give us on the plane. So I guess I haven't tested it. We did fly the week that episode happened and I distinctly remember them telling us we had to drink whatever we had before we entered the plane. Maybe that was just paranoia in Omaha or something.

Kathy I was just going to ask about that...it says 30% chance of rain on Friday...Is that a big deal? Here everyone would be going out buying umbrellas:rotfl2: BTW, we are still having record highs...but it's going to get cold tomorrow. It's going to be 77 and sunny today and tomorrow is supposed to be 57.

It's beautiful here today. It's 72 right now. I just got back from a walk and I got HOT. But it's supposed to be colder here tomorrow too I think.

You know I'm bringing their suits just in case. But I'm thinking the boys won't be swimming either. I think by the time we board and eat and then do a little exploring of the ship that our cabin will be ready and then I have some unpacking to do. Even if it's not I think this is when you can go check out the kids club and we could bring Jackson there then too. So I think we'll stay busy enough. Plus we'll have the DIS meet.

Terri

Sorry, Terri ... it's a random gift exchange, picking names out of a hat. So its best when the gift is somewhat "general", if you know what I mean

Hi Jaime -- last year Jessalyn went swimming right after we had lunch before the pools were too crowded. maybe our kiddos can do that this year. . .
