I'm a little slow today. I have a headache and a neck ache. Last night, due to circumstances beyond my control, I slept in Alex's bed and used lightning mcqueen for my pillow.

DH sent me flowers today because he said I looked like I needed it this morning. That was really sweet.

I got my somewhat conservative swimwear from Land's end. But it fits good and will be comfortable while I'm running after small children. It's kind of hard to "tug" while you're carrying a toddler

I ordered a couple more suits last week because I decided I didn't have enough. Probably won't even wear them all.

Like shoes...you can never have too many bathing suits. I am bringing one for each day and of course matching cover-ups. I just wish I didn't know so many people on this cruise because you will all see how big my A** really is

I might be back late (after Scouts and then David has a hockey game) ...

... but I will try to get internet at the booth sales as I will be bored to tears. It is easy with teens, they do all the work (but they are not cute w/pigtails so it is sometimes more difficult

I'm starting to panic about everything I have left to do!!

Karen- to answer your question from earlier— Basically I do all the packing and planning at our house. My little ones are 4 and 1 1/2 so they are at a pretty high maintenance phase. So I can really only be productive when they're not around. Chris has his own business so he works a lot of evenings... so... I'm on my own.

We are now leaving Thanksgiving morning. We are driving to Nebraska City (south of here) for Thanksgiving with Chris' Grandma and extended family. Then we are leaving from there for Kansas City. They light up the downtown area that night so we will probably go check that out. We are staying overnight there and fly out Friday.

We arrive in Orlando Friday at around 4 pm and are staying at the Radisson.

Okay, what is everyone's packing status ... and when are you leaving??

We are leaving Monday ... and haven't started ... YET

We sortof have a Cruise stuff countdown. Here's what works for us ...

3 days out (today): Kids leave all their clothes in two stacks ... clean stuff they want to pack - in Family Room pile ... dirty stuff they want to pack - on laundry room floor. We then do laundry all day and add now clean stuff to Family Room piles. Oh and we also set suitcases on the floor near the stacks.

2 days out (tomorrow): I sort thru the kids' clothes and make notes for what we still need (usually more flipflops or small stuff ... head to Walmart/Target (mall only if desperate, as a last resort) ... come home, re-sort, more notes, another store visit. Then I start to pull things out for Dave and myself ... more laundry, more notes, another store visit. I also raid our "Cruise" storage container and stack up random items like 70s/80s/Pirate gear to pack ... and I search for the over-the-door-holders, extension cords, and other "must pack" items.

1 day out (Sunday): We (okay mostly I) actually pack the bags and then everyone adds their toiletries and the "fun stuff". I make a list of all the things we will need to buy out in Cocoa Beach (aerosols like Solarcaine, disposable cameras for the kids, *ahem* Malibu Rum, etc.) I don't like to bring them on the plane, so we pick them up in FL. I try to remember to get our swimsuits out of the pool bag and throw out anything that might get fuzzy in the fridge.

Travelling day: Drop off Sasha (our furry friend), load car and we are on our way. On the way to the airport, I remember many things that I *should* have taken care of ... more notes that I slip into a pocket of my luggage and promise to not look at or worry about until the car ride HOME from the airport.

VACATION HERE WE COME!!

We leave on the Red Eye on Wednesday night (unless Delta decides to change my flight again) I will be done packing on Sunday. We are going to have 3 suitcases plus two carry-ons I know it's a lot but I refuse to do laundry while on vacation.
