Thanks all for all your advice regarding the late seating...I think it will work out nicely. We usually eat between 6&7 our time, which is 8-9 shiptime, so that will probably work well with our internal hunger clocks...plus we can feel better about some light appetizers pre-dinner if needed. Also, great tips regarding meeting up with the characters - I was worried we wouldn't have time what with getting ready for dinner, seeing the show, and then any pre-dinner activities. I am also thinking that if we sit down and Lily is finished before we are, one of us can take her over to the kid's club and then come back and finish the meal. Looking forward to the "adult" activities!!!

BTW, Ron Jovi's - are you related to Bon Jovi? If there is karaoke, perhaps I can get Devin to do his rendition of "Paradise City" (for any GnR fans out there)...although he swears he will only do it after a couple Hurricane's at the Cat's Meow, but we'll see.

I would agree with this! I always prefer late seating when cruising without kids! Sometimes it's a bummer to have to leave an afternoon activity early to get yourself all cleaned up for dinner. Only reason I'm waitlisted for early is because of the kids.

On our first sailing in 2000 we had early seating and loved it....well we thought we did. We requested it on our 2002 eastern, well we got cancelled for that sailing (norwak virus) and switched to the Des. 1 wonder and "had to take late". The second night after a "Wonderful" (couldn't resist) day I was strolling around the ship with a frosty miller lite in my hand looking for Jess at the internet cafe when I heard this yelling and screaming, Mom, Dad kids Grandparents saing "hurry up we are going to be late"! When I realized I prefer late seating.....

By the way... dieters... gold fish crackers are a good snack because you can eat a lot of them and they're not that many calories!

That's too funny - Lily just recently got over a huge goldfish kick and is now on a big cereal kick - she either wants Life (aka Daddy's cereal) or Cheerios for a snack...or for dinner. And for a while, if I asked her opinion on what I should make for dinner, her constant reply would be, "French fries...and chicken nuggets...and milk"...like I was a McDonald's line cook or something.

Well The "Ron Bon Jovies" usually perform late at night, it is an actual sing off with the Go Gos so if Devin needs some "encouragement" he has all day, actually a few days the Ron Bons are 1-1. In 2004 the Go Gos won....they cheated, I heard cheering being piped in, but in 05 we won....this should be the tie breaker! Help me recruit.......hey, they bring out a tray of shots before you go on stage....

I go to the doctor's today-hopefully to find the results of the blood work that was sent away a week ago-will find out if I inherited all the weird diseases my mom has: Lupus, Von Willinbrands disease (bleeding disorder), and Cardiolipin Antibody (clotting disorder)-yes, she has both a bleeding and clotting problem..... ...I'm a little nervous......at 43 I'm falling apart..

Jealous about the packing, Okie, but I'm sad about the sick stuff. We have some Von Willenbrands in my family (my brother, especially) and we traced it to our family that immigrated from "Prussia" as my great grandmother used to say. Before the war, my grandmother's family was Jewish...when they started killing Jews, the Finkelsteins became the Christ loving American Finkles. I wonder if your family came from a suspected area????

Sounds like our kind of fun!!! So, is this a Disney organized event or just a personal rivalry between the Ron Bon Jovi's and the Go Go's that is performed at a location to be determined?
