Just got home from shopping for a pair of sandals for the cruise.
Pixie decided to eat my old pair

It took 3 stores but I finally found a pair.

Now it's time for a late lunch.

Pretty slow around here today.

Melanie, what did you think about the Carnival cruise compared to the Disney Cruise???

I'm not sure I can compare them. The carnival ship I was on was one of the older ships, and also it was my first cruise. I loved it!

The Disney ships are beautiful and I love the old style of them. But the RCCL ship I was on was much larger and there was a lot more to explore. To be honest when researching this cruise I tried to talk myself into a RCCL cruise, but I just couldn't get past the fact that this cruise was about the kids. And I wanted them to see Mickey and I wanted Alex to have the Disney club experience.

Also I like that fact that there are lots of other kids on board (so mine won't be intrusive) and that all the shows and everything are kid friendly. AND they have Flounder's Nursery for Jackson. So it was pretty much a no-brainer.

Although if I ever wanted to take an inexpensive cruise for just the 2 of us... I would do a Carnival cruise just to get to cruise. I love being at sea! But I would choose RCCL over Carnival.

Good day everyone. Just back from the swim meet. It was a LOOOOONNNNG one against a couple VERY serious swim clubs. Our club is pretty laid back, very small, so when we go up against these types of teams, we are just looking to improve individual times. Elizabeth did a good job today. Still working on getting used to swimming 50s instead of 25s but she is still loving it!

Elizabeth has some kind of American Girl party at a local book store today then I *THINK* Mina and I are going out on a date tonight. Even if its just for a drink and some appetizers, we could use it. It's been a long week.

I have an article to write this weekend but just can't focus...so maybe tomorrow.

First, let me say, I can barely read these posts -- the fonts (like all of you) just keep getting slimmer and slimmer!!!! It's Saturday, we can light the drinking lamp early today!!!

I just got back from a race and shopping -- where's Lynn when I need her???

I thought Jess wasn't sick yesterday, but she took a turn for the worse as the night went on. I think I was up every hour last night checking on her. . .needless to say, I'm a bit tuckered.

Poor girl has to miss a Halloween/Birthday party today. I need her to get well so there are no worries when cruise time rolls around.

I'll be checking back to see our progress!

Yep, 4 of us lurking around. The sun has finally came out a little. Glad to see it, but we sure needed the rain.

For all of you cruise vets, what is the difference between formal and semi-formal. I did a search, and saw where a lot of men take one suit and two different shirt and tie combos. What do you recommend?

You kinda hit it on the head. For women, it means we get to shop for two nice dresses. For men, it means you get to change your tie.

...That sounds good to me!!! Staci got Savannah a white dress and a black dress on sale the other day. Savannah can not decide which one to wear for formal night (I guess even at an early age that starts... ) Now she will not have to worry about it.

Radisson cam has been down for a few weeks, maybe it is gone permantly I hope not.
I use the Ron jon one instead for now.
Only about an hour until it pulls out

I am watching the food network. It is Halloween candies unwrapped. I love it when they make the candies on other shows. I pick up some good tips sometimes.
