Awesome awesome awesome! A girl I work with went to both games so far. She said the volume at Thursday night's game was unbearable. Can you imagine what it was like in the 11th last night?

Catching up from yesterday....

I was in the marching band too! I didn't play an instrument...I was a flag girl. We wore these oh-so-stylish calf-length black skirts and those white majorette boots with the cleats that made a clickety-clack sound when we walked. sigh...I loved those boots.

No permed mullet for me...just a perm!

I currently work from home part-time as the business manager for a local community theater. I do their marketing, season brochures, newsletters, postcards, secure the rights to shows, pay the royalties, etc., etc. My degree is in marketing so the majority of what I do for them is in that area. We have a treasurer so I stay away from any of the money-related things except for writing a few checks now and then.

We were out enjoying our extended summer yesterday. DH took the afternoon off work and we went out fishing when Jason came off the bus at noon. Absolutely perfect weather and the lake was like glass. We didn't catch as many fish as we hoped but my tan is awesome!

No, I can't even imagine. We went to the final home game when they won the division title and my throat was sore from cheering and screaming so much. My brother went to Thursday's game and he said it was the best game he's been to... and he's been to all the good ones.

Actually Newfoundlander's are a tribe thier own...being an island our traditional food is different than the rest of the country...our Thankgiving Dinner is Turkey...saltmeat...potatoes...turnip....carrott...cabbage...peas pudding...dressing(similar to stuffing)...gravy...and cranberry sauce.

Sounds good! When should we be over?

Okay-Sorry no posting after noon yesterday. Today won't be any better, so I thought I'd get one in this morning.

Went to Home-A-Rama last night. Houses started at 1.2 mil. They had seventeen houses and only six were still available. What do those people do and where can I get in line Some of the ugliest interior decorating I have ever seen............the backyards were beautiful though. I love a house with a porch. It's the Southerner in me I guess

Sounds like your Home-A-Rama is the same as our "Street of Dreams". We have that show here in the summer. Usually 6-12 homes one one street ranging from 600,000-million all decorated. Some years the decorating has been better than others

Me too!!
We have a great porch on our house. When we were looking to build a house we fell in love with our builder's model home because of its porch. About a year and a half later we were sipping iced tea from our new porch! I'll see if I can find some pics...

Here is just one of the business ventures rolling around in my tiny little brain:

Robin starts a thread on the boards asking for people's funniest stories. She of course posts one of her examples. We tell everyone we are looking to publish a collection of funny stories for DIS members. Of course everyone will love the idea...........

Jeff will begin networking everyone and their responsibilities. Chris puts together a picture bio of each of the contributors. Mel helps put the publication in print. Shell then markets the publication to DIS sponsors. We split the country geographically (we could even go internation with this); Judy makes our travel arrangements. Tonya gets Trey to pose in his Disney Speedo; lovingly provided by me.

Cheri finds a way to insure us in case of law suit. Jaime makes our official t-shirts.

Sounds like a plan. I can also pitch the story to the news media and make us all famous (especially Trey I guess!)

Wow that is a great porch. Alas, we built the model with the "stoop" But it works in our neighborhood because our houses back into each other - yep very little privacy -- but that way the kids go out the back door and play in each other's yards and the parents can gather on someone's deck or patio.

I may have some pics somewhere from when we just did an add on project..

I realize this is probably not really news to anyone but I just did the math and realized that we sail SEVEN WEEKS from today! It seems like it was seven months not so long ago. Yippee
