Hmm...the first chapter would have to include our favorite family story, "The Wedding That Wasn't." It details the day my pregnant cousin's fiancee shot himself in the leg to keep from getting married. Yep, I said I was from Tennessee, now, didn't I???

I baked a turkey breast, made mashed potatoes, broccoli with rice, and some really good homemade gravy. Oh, and sweet potatoes baked with marshmallows on top. I just ate all the marshmallows. So, sue me!

Okay I know I am going to be given a hard time for this...but can some please tell me what sweet potatoes?? baked with marshmallows on top is...it sounds yummy!

I tried a new dish tonight. Chicken breast, dry italian dressing, block of cream cheese, cream of chicken soup, 1 - 1/2 cups of milk and let it cook. Mashed potatoes and corn along side. Makes alot of it's own gravy for the potatoes. It was delicious.

Yep, you can do a baked sweet potato (top with butter and cinnamon), or you can make mashed sweet potatoes, or a casserole like Robin made, which is a traditional US Thanksgiving side dish.

Wow Jaime, it's kinda like you're from a whole 'nother country...

My parents made sweet potatoes a LOT growing up. That and squash. I've never really been a big fan of either.

I wonder what foods you guys eat that we don't?

Actually Newfoundlander's are a tribe thier own...being an island our traditional food is different than the rest of the country...our Thankgiving Dinner is Turkey...saltmeat...potatoes...turnip....carrott...cabbage...peas pudding...dressing(similar to stuffing)...gravy...and cranberry sauce.

Wow it was quiet yeseterday compare to Thursday! I did my online checkin last night... it now feels so close!

Okay-Sorry no posting after noon yesterday. Today won't be any better, so I thought I'd get one in this morning.

Went to Home-A-Rama last night. Houses started at 1.2 mil. They had seventeen houses and only six were still available. What do those people do and where can I get in line Some of the ugliest interior decorating I have ever seen............the backyards were beautiful though. I love a house with a porch. It's the Southerner in me I guess

Jaime-What kind of food do you have for Thanksgiving? Thanksgiving without sweet potatos? Why bother? Speaking of food; this morning I'm having a yummy protein shake

DS has his Fall Fair today. I'm making popcorn and DH is in the Dunking Tank. Jacob gets his allowance early and he's planning on hanging out with his dad

Then DS has a b-day at 4 pm...........So, I should be back around 7 pm. Hope to have lots to catch up on.

Here is just one of the business ventures rolling around in my tiny little brain:

Robin starts a thread on the boards asking for people's funniest stories. She of course posts one of her examples. We tell everyone we are looking to publish a collection of funny stories for DIS members. Of course everyone will love the idea...........

Jeff will begin networking everyone and their responsibilities. Chris puts together a picture bio of each of the contributors. Mel helps put the publication in print. Shell then markets the publication to DIS sponsors. We split the country geographically (we could even go internation with this); Judy makes our travel arrangements. Tonya gets Trey to pose in his Disney Speedo; lovingly provided by me.

Cheri finds a way to insure us in case of law suit. Jaime makes our official t-shirts.
